Since I’m not very knowledgeable about cars, he took the time to explain the situation and provided helpful insight about my vehicle. My issue was resolved in less than an hour, and the entire experience was smooth and efficient. I will definitely be returning to this Mavis location. Be sure to ask for Richard during your next visit!”

“I took my Maserati gran turismo to many shops to get it aligned (over 5 shops) and no one could do it.
Not only did these guys align it the best they could they also found the issue that was causing my alignment issues when no one else could.
If you have a high end sports car or an exotic car I highly recommend this shop.”

I had a nail in the tire and Steven got me in right away (usually takes an average of an hour because they are so busy— as they should be, it’s a great place).
The staff is super friendly and I am grateful for Rob taking care of the tire so quickly!

“I cannot say enough good things about the team here. My truck was out of alignment, they performed an alignment. A few days later I had a nail in a tire and took it somewhere close to my office, lo and behold, they screwed something up. Was shaking and wobbling at highway speed. Took it back to Corsi and blamed the plug fix, but they re-balanced all my tires and re-aligned me for FREE. Another few weeks later front tire wearing on just the outside. I take it back to them and ask them for a full front end inspection and re-align the front. I told them I think there's something wrong with the truck, not their work. They aligned me again for FREE. I insisted I wanted to pay but they refused. They insist they stand behind their work and they DO!!!!”

“Thank you Mavis. They really helped me out of a jam today. I was driving with my wife and 1 year toddler today when my back tire blew out. Luckily It was while we were close by and not on the freeway. They did not have my particular tire in stock but were able to order it. They were getting pushback to have it delivered tomorrow, but they really fought for it to be delivered today. Sometimes in Customer Service it's that little extra effort employees put in to make us customer feel that we are valued and it's not just transactional. Knowing that there was that human element involved-they knew I had a toddler with me and that I needed to get home today with a new tire on-they went above and beyond to make it happen. “So, after contacting me, the manager/owner of this particlar location explained what had happened to my 'non- existent ' tires. Due to a miscommunication between their online ordering/ads & local franchises the tires were never available & b/c it was a Holiday weekend, the online order was never processed & I was never informed that the tire order could not be fulfilled. I was offered a free oil change or front end alignment which I think is pretty nice & considerate of them since it wasn't the Mavis in Closter's fault that they couldn't procure the tires from their supplier. I was very pleased that they reached out to me personally to resolve my issues. I will go back to them in the near future for my automotive needs since they made a strong effort to do the right thing by their customers.
I ordered tires for my truck thru Mavis.com online b/c they were not in stock at the Closter location. Got an email confirming my size tires would be shipped to the Closter store in 3 days, so I made an appt. to have tires installed. Much to my surprise & disappointment, not only did they not have the tires but I was told they could not get the tires(they were nowhere in the system & could no longer get them from the vendor). SO, I wasted a half day of my time for absolutely nothing whereas a simple text/email or call would have sufficed. I am now going to PEP Boys who have everything I need. Thanks for nothing Mavis of Closter.......”
“Had such a great experience at this location today that I just had to leave a review!
I came in this morning pretty stressed because I knew I had a leaking tire valve. From the moment I walked in, Fernando and Peter were incredibly kind, professional, and reassuring. They didn’t brush me off - they listened, told me they’d get it taken care of.
The wait time was short, and before I knew it, they called to let me know my car was ready. When I went back to pay, I was honestly shocked at how affordable the total was. In a world where so many places try to overcharge or convince you that you need extra services, this location truly stands out. They were honest, efficient, and clearly care about serving their customers well.
It’s rare to find auto shops that make you feel comfortable and respected, especially as a woman walking in alone, but I felt completely taken care of here. The shop was clean, organized, and the whole team seemed to work well together.
They’ve absolutely earned a customer for life. I’ll be coming back for inspections and any future car needs without hesitation. Highly recommend this location if you want trustworthy, fast, and affordable service!”

Today while sitting in the office an emergency vehicle came in for a tire repair and the team was quick to get it on a lift and out the door within 30 minutes. Hats off to the team. “Tom and Hillside Service workers are good folk for the community. When calling in for service for your vehicle just address your issue quickly cause they are busy daily.
A helpful is to call ahead to come to the shop to diagnose your issue then set up a time to bring your car in for him to look at. Tom was quick to diagnose the problem I had for years that the dealership wouldn’t figure out. Took him one full day to fix my main issue, but he discovered another issue related to the first & wouldn’t let me come pick my car up until the whole issue was resolved. Overall, Tom and others want to make sure you are taken care of, fairly price and I will go back if anymore issues.”

“Midnight Motors is a honorable mechanic shop that got the job done right! This was my first time going to the shop from Queens to the Bronx. I brought my truck in for a B127 service code that was appearing on my dashboard, the owner (Easan) explained to me exactly what it was, and what he had to do to rectify the issue he started right away and I was out of there in no time. He was professional and showed excellent customer service. This is my new found mechanic shop. I know we can only give 5 ? but I would give them 10 ?.”

“While grabbing my son from camp I noticed a chunk of my tire missing. It was a bit after 4 and I remember passing Mavis regularly on my way into work. I drove over a bit after 4:00 without an appointment and figured worst case I would need to go back the next day. One look at my tire and it was deemed unsafe (figured that) and I was told they would replace it. I felt terrible for these guys it was HOT and they weren't able to get to my car till around 6:00 (closing time). My only issue was I was told the new tire had to be moved to the back and was given an explanation making it sound like a safety issue. When I returned home I noticed the new tire was in the front replacing the damaged tire. I called my mechanic in the morning and he said it's fine since the car is an AWD. I am greatful they took my car as I watched them tell others they had to schedule an appointment. I was also greatful when the gentleman at the counter heard my son complain about reception and help him out with wifi. I would 100% go back.”

“Ended up with a screw in my tire on my way to work. Found closest Mavis and James helped me out. Was hoping for a patch or a plug just to get me through to replacing all my tires next month. Unfortunately with the location of the screw they were unable to fix and replacement of the tire is unnecessary. Unfortunately due to time and financial restrictions I have to hold off. James had his guy put the spare on and didn’t want any money exchanged for the change nor the assessment of the current tire. Great location and great staff. Thanks James.”
