“If you really have a heart to serve, it's important to help your city locally, but also stretch yourself and go out of town. NYSUM in Queens, NY is the place to go. We handed out blankets, a bag with personal care items, water and a hot sandwich, (kinda like a pizza pocket) to those going to the old Bellvue hospital shelter. Little did I know that the original Bellevue was closed down and a new one opened, but the old one has 1200 beds available for those in need. Truly a humbling experience. Tomorrow we go on Operation Drumstick where we will serve a hot Turkey dinner in several locations throughout the city. Can't wait!”
“Variety has been a part of our family for generations. My granddaughter is in their summer day camp and she loves it. Sadly, there are spoiled parents complaining about the programs and facilities who think everything needs to be to their way. The leadership works hard and are also planning on building a brand new facility for the community. We need to support this organization that fights for kids and families. Anyone trying to speak bad about such a great organization is not a good person. We love you Variety and all your hardworking staff.”
“Veterans Rebuilding Life is an incredible grassroots organization truly making a difference. The Creative Arts Workshop was inspiring; it’s about art as much as it is about creating a place for veterans to reconnect.”
