“A great place to stroll after lunch or dinner! There are new art installations and great views. Of course many great photo ops as well. Because it's right next to the river you want to layer up, because it can get cold and windy. Summer nights are prefect on the High Line.”

“I discovered Printed Matter one day while walking around Chelsea visiting various art spaces. In this context, maintaining the operation at this location is absolutely a smart, brilliant idea as it attracts art nerds who also happen to be book connoisseurs. For me, the curation and selection are unique enough to place Printed Matter in its own category. Think of extremely limited press runs combined with high quality presentation and intriguing subject matter. No NYC bookstore tour would be complete without a stop at Printed Matter.”

“Amazing hub for out of town runners like me who want to run in Central Park. Lockers, water fountain, changing rooms, and bathroom all kept clean by hardworking cleaning staff. The employees I’ve interacted with are all helpful and friendly. Be aware there are no showers, but I always bring disposable XL “shower” wipes.”

“I am visiting NYC and staying on the upper east side. My friend was on a work call so I ventured out for a walk on this beautiful day. I walked down 87st and it led me here. I knew I was headed towards something great as I saw so many dogs walking in the same direction. The park was on the water and was such a refreshing scene from the city streets I just walked down. There were tons of people playing pickle ball. People chilling on park benches and just an overall good vibe. I didn't get pics of any dogs because I was petting them. :)”

“The wilderness job readiness class with Keith and Mike was a success! Both of them are great instructors. I got a job less than a month after coming home from a 5 year bid. We went to a job fair and I was recruited by Guns Down Life Up to be a youth mentor. So give thanks to Keith, Mike and the whole Exodus community!”

“First time I walked into Bottomless closet I received very good resume assistance, I also had 2 outfits for my jobs interview coming up, two months later I got a job and they gave me 3 more outfits of my preference. The staff are the best, they take their time with each client. Really recommended.”

“Came here to pass some time, got a delicious coffee & rhubarb scone. Very, very busy place….lots of loud kids and dogs, and then there is the gigantic screen with rotating photos of the city…would likely be quite lovely on a summer day sitting on their porch?”

“We got displaced due to a fire. We were scared, confused and tired. We really appreciate the good people that took or information when we got displaced due to a fire. The gentleman even asked me the name of my cats while we were waiting for the firefighters to put out the fire. I was so worried about if they would be able to stop the fire before it made it to our apartment. They were even able to find us a hotel that was pet friendly. They followed up with us when we needed an extension from the city at the hotel. Thank you to Christan for all of her kindness and patience. People were angry and just as stressed as we were. Christian explained things to us and we understood what The Red Cross does. She called to follow up with us. We appreciate her so, so, so much and are thankful for sitting with her that day. We appreciate The Red Cross for being so caring and empathy.”

“The Garment District Alliance decided to replace the old dark Button and Needle installed in 1996 with a shiny bright yellow button one with a chrome needle. Even at night with the new lighting, you can see it from a few blocks away.they also removed the Info Booth that was under it, it was out of use due to visitors using smartphones for information about the garment district and the businesses in the area. The button is 15 feet wide and the needle 32 feet long, the sculpture is brought to you by The Garment District Alliance with support from many others, the sculpture itself could be a collaboration between the architect and art installation firms and no one artist was mention on the opening day ceremonies or the official web site.”

“An amazing home, with an amazing community of residents. Truly a microcosm of some of the most amazing people that you will ever meet. In addition, the facilities and staff are great! They have the residents needs to heart, and are always there to help when you need them the most! International House should be at the top of your list if you’re a student or young working professional that is coming to NYC”

“Went to see my brothers play with The Kings College at the Salvation Army Theater. The venue was very nice and clean. The only complaint is the bathrooms are located in the basement relatively far away from the auditorium.”

“I attended a four day training in Transcendental Meditation, which I have now incorporated into my daily routine. I have only been practicing for a couple weeks, but have noticed that I feel calmer, and more "aware" during my daily routine. I'm hopeful that I will be able to get better, more restful sleep soon, and I'm grateful to the David Lynch Foundation”

“I’m not sure what organization was here before 1990, but I attended a HeadStart program at this location in the early-mid 1970’s. I still have fond memories of this place to this day.”

“Good vibes for the most part. Helpful staff (mostly) yet always very busy. Expect long wait times for Food Pantry on Thursdays and long lines for Fresh Market Produce on Wenesdays. Thankful for this organization and all the hard work they do in our community ?”

“I was looking for an Art School where I could explore some different mediums. I was considering going to the Arts Students league that I went to many moons ago. I then fell upon New York School of the Arts. It is a “ hidden” gem. I am now taking a watercolor class & plan to continue with watercolor & then perhaps sculpture. Regardless of your age or creativity this is a wonderful ( nurturing) place to be involved with. Highly recommend it to All.”

“We took the iconic spots in central park tour with Juan on a dry winter Saturday. Absolutely fantastic, I would recommend this tour to anyone. We were given headphones so we could easily hear no matter if there was a performer or just if we fell to the back of the crowd. Juan was an amazing guide. Please take this tour!”

“Capturing Caroline and Tyler's wedding at The Union Club Of The City Of New York was an absolute pleasure and a highlight of my career as a wedding filmmaker. From the moment I stepped into this iconic venue, I knew the day was going to be something special. And I wasn't disappointed. The elegance and charm of The Union Club provided the perfect backdrop for Caroline and Tyler's celebration. Every room tells a story, and the rich history of the venue added a unique character to the film that you just can't replicate elsewhere. The lighting, the architecture, and the overall ambiance were a cinematographer's dream, allowing me to capture stunning visuals without the need for many adjustments. What truly set The Union Club apart, however, was the staff. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and willingness to accommodate made not only the couple's day run smoothly but also significantly aided in my filmmaking process. They were always on hand to assist, ensuring that every part of the venue was accessible and ready for filming. Their coordination with my team allowed us to capture the day without any hitches, making our work not just easier but more enjoyable.I cannot recommend The Union Club Of The City Of New York enough to couples searching for a wedding venue that offers both visual splendor and top-notch service. My experience filming at this venue was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to its stunning setting and the invaluable support of the staff. If you're looking for a venue that will leave a lasting impression on you and your guests, and make for an unforgettable wedding film, The Union Club should be at the top of your list.”

“I love this little house. As children, we would come on school trips. It looked so big, but now, as an adult, everything looks so small. I adore the history and the fact that it's still standing in the middle of Inwood. It's a must-see if you're in the area. Trust me, when you're in the backyard, you're going to feel like you're not even in the city.”
