“One of the better laundromats in the area. There are 2 laundromats 1-2 min from my apartment but I often walk the 10 minutes to this place because everything is cleaner, newer and the washing machines leave my clothes cleaner.”
“What I absolutely love about this place is when you drop off your wash for wash and gold service , it will be ready by the afternoon. Also, when you put your items away, it is folded perfectly and actually holds a scent. Other places in the area, the clothes may be clean, but they lack any type of freshness. I’ve used them also for alterations and I’ve always been satisfied their dry cleaning also is a quick turnaround.”
“Great team and management. We own the barbershop a few blocks down and go to them for all our commercial laundry needs. They are extremely attentive to anything we need and always work well with businesses in the area for whatever requests we may have. Highly recommend”

“Jenny is super friendly and helpful! I come from Long Island because Jenny is so great to deal with . The machines wash well and dryers dry the clothes well. Prices are reasonable. They also have a place to wash your hands.”
“only been going to this laundromat for almost a year but never had an issue. it’s tiny but…it’s just a laundromat so don’t expect it to be fancy. the name is misleading u need a card to work the machines but i’ve never had any card issues.”
“This is our go-to for laundry. The staff there are excellent. The rest is just what it is, a laundromat. While we've had a few garments with random bleach stains (or unfortunately shrunk) at the end of the day, we'll consistently go here because of the way the staff takes care of things. While we almost never ask for anything outside of washing/drying/hang-drying, the one or two times we've asked if they can get out clothes done same day they've worked to accommodate. To be clear, we get there first thing in the morning when we're asking, so it's not as if we ask for it within 5 hours of closing.”

“This is probably the best laundromat in Astoria. Cheaper than most places, fast and efficient machines, not crowded, and has great customer service. The staff there is always super nice. Wash and fold is fast and done thoughtfully.”
“I don’t know why this place has bad reviews, though I can only comment on self-service laundry. I go here every two weeks and it’s always been great. The machines are much cleaner and better maintained than others in the area, and it’s a normal price. Staff is also kind!”

It’s always clean and organized, machines always work at their 100% and the staff is amazing! Ana is very helpful and always makes sure things are clean. “I have been coming to The Laundry Room for two years and the facilities and machines are always very clean! One time, I accidentally left my clothes in a washer over night and when I came in panicked the next morning, the staff had put them in the dryer for me to pick up. So grateful!”

The dryers have minds of their own, some hot, some medium hot, some cold.
People constantly leave their clothes in the washing machines and dryers, the workers assist after a certain amount of time since many people who frequent here don’t understand the use of being courteous to your fellow laundromat goers.”

But the reason I will be a loyal customer for as long as they are open is because of Silvia. She is incredibly professional and also very kind and friendly. She remembers faces and names, does her best to help with any requests or questions, she always makes sure everything is right with the orders, and is truly just a delightful and wonderful person.
