“I had a flat tire and the local guy from Roadside Assistance recommended Omar. I knew all four tires were on their final miles so I was ready to replace all four. Omar kindly went over the various tire alternatives and compared the pricing and ratings of the various tires available on Tire Rack (which really is the lowest out there). He then compared it to the pricing of the local vendors and showed there wasn't a notable difference. Needing to get done immediately, I opted for the local vendor. The whole job from the minute I walked in the door, ordering the tires and installing took two hours. They did a fantastic job! Honest guys!”

I started my search, and I came across H & S Auto Transmission. I brought my car into the shop because I was experiencing issues. “I live in the area and own a 2008 BMW 5 Series. As one could imagine, that requires an auto shop on speed dial. While the car is mechanically sound, there are constantly small things that need to be addressed (headlight out, drain clogged, wire needs replacing, brake discs, alignment, inspection, etc.). Anthony and his team have been there to handle all the small things as well as a few more major repairs like a valve cover replacement, and everything else that comes with an aging BMW. It's been almost half a decade that ZA & D. have been working with me to maintain this vehicle and I've always found them honest, competent, and transparent. I've lived in NYC over 16 years (coincidentally, about the same age as the car) and I've only felt compelled to write a review for one or two other businesses that have stood out to me as exceptional. “Frank of Astoria Auto Repair is truly the best - he went to small claims court with me a decade ago and helped me win against a used car dealership. I bought a new car in 2015 so we didn't see each other for a long time. This year, my car has been having troubles- I've taken it to the service center twice and each time they tell me nothing is wrong with it. I replaced the battery myself. Finally, this week, it's straight up would not start, so I called Frank. He told me to bring it in same day, diagnosed the problem same day, and even called the place I had gotten the battery to notify them, complain on my behalf, and ensure I'd be able to get a full refund for the purchase!Frank really cares, is an old school expert, and I hope you will give him your business, should you have need!”
