“Jocelyn was incredibly helpful when my car broke down on I-95. I was able to get a quiet room quickly, clean up, and get back on my way. She even called after check in,
to ensure everything was okay. The place was very clean. I had the chance to wash up quickly and then continue to work after fixing my car. If I break down again in the area, I’ll definitely come back—hahaha! Thank you, Jocelyn!”

“I just stayed at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina in Port Washington for the second time and Cindie and Steve welcomed me like a member of their family. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warmth and sincerity that makes you feel at home. That’s not something you find in most hotels!
The location is nothing short of breathtaking. The hotel overlooks historic Sands Point and the Long Island Sound. It’s so peaceful! You can sit on the end of the dock and watch boats drift by or seaplanes takeoff, both relaxing and inspiring.
Every detail in the hotel feels thoughtfully considered, from the cozy, beautiful-decorated rooms with the lobster (Mort Washington) stuffy to the inviting shared spaces to snack and grab a drink. You can tell this is a passion for Cindie and Steve, not just a business.
If you’re visiting Long Island, give yourself a treat and stay at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina. It’s a place to feel cared for, connected, and restored. It’s my favorite place to stay!”

“We have stayed here numerous times when visiting family. Prices have gone up but the suites are just perfect for our stays. The free Buffett has gotten so much better, better quality food, better display of the food, all due to Donisha Jordan. She is organized, professional yet very personable. So nice to have met and talk to here. We also would like to shout out the young lady who made our reservation ( sorry cannot remember her name). She worked with us to secure a room in a timely manner. Marisol Umanzor was also wonderful at the front desk. We would have given this hotel 5 stars but they no longer serve bar bites which is really needed, especially if you are drinking at the bar. Overall excellent stay and excellent staff. We miss Zoe Parker the former manager there.Rooms: SpaciousNearby activities: Neighborhood not that great! Potholes everywhere leading to hotel.Food & drinks: Bar service good but bar bites needed..BRING THIS BACK!Noteworthy details: Staff is wonderful!”

“I would rate this hotel as a 3.5 out of 5 overall. But let me say some nuance first.
If you need a solid hotel in flushing and you have a bunch of places you want to go to in Manhattan. John hotel is great for a few days.
Pros: absolute phenomenal LOCATION,
Solid room, clean enough except maybe corner spots on on the tub. Good security. 2 blocks away is main street and theres private guards and NYPD at every bank. This place has police 5 minutes away from the hotel.
Location: 7 train subway is 2 blocks away, tangrem mall and movie theater next door, target is 2 to 3 blocks away. The la guardia Q90 bus is across the street pass the avenue and between target and another restaurant.
Theres a laundromat 15 minutes away and a bus to go there. Theres literally several malls(skyview where target is, tangrem, etc) in walking distance and the food choices are ao dense I had trouble deciding which café, restaurant, diner to go to. Near the train subway theres a 24 hour chinese diner for food and a halal cart that services up til 5 am.
And several spas that offer foot ,head, amd back massages. Usually rate is 45 to 60 for an hour.
Cheap halal dinner is 10 bucks for a large portion or 15 to 20 bucks for a sit down diner. Theres Hotpot and korean BBQ for 50 bucks to higher end sushi places for 100 nearby.
Cons: noise at times. I could hear traffic eben from the 7th floor at 11am.
Big one for me: during winter there is only heating. So if you are visiting there during colder weather, the hotel has central heating and even if you put the ac to cool, it will just blow hot. Suggestion is to put it to heat at a temp and when you need to cool down then shut it off. It naturally went to 65 when I was there in December.
Note:By train, its 40 minutes to Manhattan, 50 minutes or so to empire state and about an hour to battery park if youre trying to see the statue of liberty.
Rush hour morning is 7am to 930am.
Afternoon is like 330 to 630pm.
Car: its a one road lane and way to get there. Theres an underground parking lot and the skyview mall parking lot nearby where target is.”

“I stay near LGA and JFK fairly often, and this Aloft location is easily my favorite. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, and the airport shuttle is reliable and prompt—something I truly appreciate when traveling.
The hotel is always nicely decorated for the season, which gives it a welcoming feel, and the rooms are super clean and very comfortable. Breakfast also offers a solid variety of options, making it an easy place to start the day.
Overall, a consistently comfortable and dependable stay.”
“The staff is very kind, the room is comfortable, and the location is right in the middle of several stores and restaurants in Flushing. Train station is within walking distance, too! I saw someone complain about the complimentary breakfast, but I found it to be pretty decent as far as hotel breakfasts go.”
“Nice rooms in a great location close to downtown Flushing and a lot of great food places. Friendly, responsive staff. Rooms were clean and roomy. Nice large lobby for breakfast but also resting after a long day out. Convenient Airport Shuttle to LaGuardia. Ice on every other floor and a nice hot water machine in the lobby for Tea.
The complimentary breakfast is fantastic - they had typical American breakfast (eggs bacon French toast) but also congee. All of the food was cooked well and the fruit was fresh.
Gym has everything you need to get a quick workout in. Surprisingly had a Peleton which wasnt connected to the Internet but still usable. Even had fresh towels, a water machine, and a scale.
I had an issue with the HVAC in our room that kept us up the first night and left us with 4 hours of sleep. (This review is my post nap update). The night staff was responsive but there was a minor mixup with me being asked to move all of my belongings in the middle of the night. I was eventually able to switch rooms in the morning and their management did also reach out separately to apologize afterwards, which was nice and appreciated.
Regardless, this is a great option for a short or longer stay. Excellent value for the price, quality, and the area.”

“The stay was great, the rooms are toooo overpriced for the size but the amenities the hotel have and location is very good and made sense. Went to the restaurant and Candace was a WONDERFUL server. Ended up having her for dinner then breakfast and her service never wavered. My sister and I went out the night before to somewhere near by and the hotel had a 24 hr food area! Was great for late night snacks before bed and the guy that helped us then was just as great. I wish I saved the photos I took of the food. Overall it’s a very expensive stay and if I had the money I’d stay there multiple times a year other than that great experience.”
“While I didn't stay at this hotel I went by to pay a visit to a long time friend (family) who works at the bar there. I was accompanied by another long time family friend (family) member who surprised her who hadn't seen her in several years and we hung out in this fabulous hotel for a couple of hours just reminiscing about our old stomping grounds and catching up. The ambiance there is so relaxing. Everyone is friendly. My girl who's the bartender will definitely take care of you so feel free to stop in for drinks!!!”

“We stayed at this hotel for my son's wedding weekend - had 35 rooms of friends and family. The Roslyn assisted with a dinner, for 70 people, the night before the wedding and did a phenomenal job. They also assisted with a breakfast, the day after the wedding, for 80 people, also did a phenomenal job. Food was excellent for both events and service was exceptional. They couldn't do enough for us and everything ran smoothly. We highly recommend this hotel and their staff.”

“This hotel is right next to the airport and is very convenient. The rooms are very nice and the comfortable. Pricing is reasonable for the stay. The downstairs restaurant is fantastic and staff is super friendly.”
“Great cheap spot. Really good for raunchy photos and videos and making memories. Have a few memories here with friends. The jacuzzi rooms are nice but always booker for some reason as of lately…
Location is stellar, right by the grand central, easy access to different parts of queens and easy to get to the other boroughs and Long Island.”
“They have parking!! Rooms are clean, no funky smell, employees are helpful and nice, they have ice & vending machines. Every morning they have free continental breakfast. Pillows are so fluffy. Rooms have both a microwave & mini fridge. Walk in/ accessible showers are decent size. I have stayed here multiple times already & will continue to choose them once I’m in the area. Price is decent too.”

“Stayed during Spring Break with the family. We had a horrible experience at a hotel in Midtown Manhattan and I’m very grateful to have stayed here for the duration of our trip. The front desk & management were fantastic. They helped us with an array of needs from holding our bags until check in time, transportation & food suggestions, to arranging for a shuttle to the LIRR station (our situation was complex so I can’t be sure it’ll happen for you). Our room was clean and had plenty of the amenities expected at these hotels. Rooms were on the thinner side but we honestly didn’t care as we were beat from our daytimes and eventually slept like babies.A very important note: This location is half a block away from a discount store & grocery store/market with surprisingly nice selection of things you’d need during longer stays. Nice to save some $$. Great food within a reasonable distance as well. The continental breakfast is what you would expect but on the higher spectrum because the staff kept everything fully stocked and the coffee had a nice kick!!I’m staying here the next time I visit NYC and not looking to spend on fancy hotels.Noteworthy details: Public transportation worked like a charm to and from Manhattan and the rest of the tourist attractions. The bus line across the street and the connecting train lines were on time 95% of the time.”

“Don't comment on room service cuz we were there two days and we didn't get room service and they said they didn't do anything to the room on a daily basis. But the room was fine and the staff was very nice. Lynbrook is a very nice place to stay in. The breakfast in the morning was bacon and eggs an assortment of cereals and coffee and some bagels and croissants and juices and I think that was pretty good for Continental breakfast.”

“I never write reviews but was compelled to do so after Kevin, our Airport shuttle driver, saved our day by taking the time, unprompted to wait for us as we struggled to get our two small children out of the hotel. We thought for sure that we had missed the shuttle and were preparing to order an uber when the front desk called to follow up. Kevin then came up with a trolley and helped us get to the airport on time and was super pleasant about it.The rooms were clean and comfortable and very appropriate for the price.”

Also they had 4 hour rooms & over night stays. It is no longer a hotel it’s now a shelter. I will miss coming here so much !!!!Walkability: Walkable to the avenue, and near buses to travel. “I just parked there for airport ride.
Coming back shuttle is a hustle.
You have to take the train. To fed circle then call and wait 40 min for their shuttle.
So it’s not worth it.”
“A lot more pleasant staff than you would expect in a JFK airport hotel. Rooms are up to standard, the restaurant was pretty good with one friendly and extremely overworked guy (and maybe someone in the back, but for all I know he cooked the meals too), and the neighborhood is actually pretty nice to walk around. Parking is $40 a day but that's NYC for you.”
“This place was both less and more. Less in the fact that you'd call down to the desk and they say they didn't get a call. As a result, I had to lie there with a beeping fire alarm all night and still get up and go to work the next day. Less in that you'd go in to the desk at say, 230am because you have a long drive ahead of you and no amount of hellos or knocking can wake whoever is taking a nap in the office. I had to ask the security guard to get the night person.
It was More in the fact that the staff even tho they didn't have much English, were very nice and helpful ppl. When I returned from work the day after the beeping fire alarm, I saw one of the you ladies and explained to her what I need and within 5 mins, a man was there to fix it for me. I had stopped by the reception desk and told the guy who was working there but when I opened the door after work, the beeping greeted me which means he forgot to do his job and have it fixed when I was gone all day.
It was More in the sense that when I had an issue with the washing machine the same young man rushed to my assistance and took it apart and got it fixed for me so I could wash my clothing. Real nice staff, those people.
Food & drinks: About 40 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel I was told when I enquired.”
“This was a really good stay. The airline put me up here, idk what it cost. I was scared at first because of the unknown and it’s old and small. The room was very clean, comfortable bed. The whole place was very clean. Good breakfast. Safe. Easily accessible. I wouldn’t ordinarily book at a hotel like this, but it was MUCH better than anticipated. The staff was GREAT. Laid back, very nice people. Especially liked the night audit guy and breakfast lady. I suspect this is a budget friendly choice, but it’s actually a great place, surprisingly. Food near by. Easy to get around. Clean. Safe. Friendly staff. THANK YOU FOR NOT BEING NASTY OR SCARY. lol”
