“I had a fantastic stay! The hotel was clean, the rooms were lovely, and the breakfast was excellent, thanks to Assitan, the breakfast specialist. She was incredibly helpful, greeting everyone with a warm 'good morning' and assisting with the machines. Her dedication to keeping everything spotless was impressive. The hotel's location is also ideal for exploring New York, with plenty of affordable dining options nearby. Five stars to Assitan - she truly shines! A sister from another mother ❤️”

“I just stayed at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina in Port Washington for the second time and Cindie and Steve welcomed me like a member of their family. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warmth and sincerity that makes you feel at home. That’s not something you find in most hotels!
The location is nothing short of breathtaking. The hotel overlooks historic Sands Point and the Long Island Sound. It’s so peaceful! You can sit on the end of the dock and watch boats drift by or seaplanes takeoff, both relaxing and inspiring.
Every detail in the hotel feels thoughtfully considered, from the cozy, beautiful-decorated rooms with the lobster (Mort Washington) stuffy to the inviting shared spaces to snack and grab a drink. You can tell this is a passion for Cindie and Steve, not just a business.
If you’re visiting Long Island, give yourself a treat and stay at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina. It’s a place to feel cared for, connected, and restored. It’s my favorite place to stay!”
“I had a wonderful 4-night stay earlier this month. The staff was very friendly and offered a delicious welcome cookie upon my arrival. I stayed in the “cozy” room with a queen size bed. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a nice shower with good water pressure. I felt very safe in this quiet, lovely hotel. I would definitely recommend this place and loved the location for its easy walking proximity to the museums I wanted to see.”

“This part of Flushing feels like Taipei, Hong Kong and Shanghai all wrapped up on one, but right here in New York! I stayed in this hotel for the second time because it’s a fairly easy 20 minute walk to city Field to go see my beloved Mets play… That’s solid option good price for New York. Breakfast is better than almost all American hotels.”

“We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott New York The Bronx at Metro Center Atrium after being displaced by a fire, and honestly, the staff made such a hard situation feel a little less awful.
Everyone was incredibly accommodating and kind to us. They remembered what we were going through, checked in where they could, and did little things that meant a lot — like turning on the fireplace on the patio when we asked and just generally making sure we were as comfortable as possible.
Naomi and Winzell deserve a huge thank you. Naomi was the real VIP of our stay because she made sure my ESAs were taken care of, which took so much stress off my shoulders. Winzell was also amazing and helped us when we needed to extend our reservation for an extra night.
Thank you to Joseph too, for fixing the computer station and printer when we needed it. That might sound small, but when you’re dealing with displacement paperwork and trying to keep your life together, working printers matter.
I also want to shout out the bartender. I’m so sorry I forgot her name, but she was amazing. Her music was always good, she always took care of my drinks, and she listened to me complain when I was clearly going through it. She even made me a vodka Red Bull after I bought my own Red Bull because they didn’t have any, and honestly, that was iconic of her.
The breakfast staff was also great. The food was really good, and the service was always attentive. The two gentlemen who run breakfast on the weekends were so sweet and helped us get breakfast together to bring upstairs for my mother.
And thank you to the cleaning crew for dealing with the mess of our pet-friendly rooms. We had a lot going on, and I really appreciate the patience and understanding.
This stay happened during one of the worst weeks of our lives, but the staff made us feel cared for instead of like we were just another reservation. I’m really grateful for everyone there.”

“Didn’t have an issue with this place. Pretty good price for the duration that I stayed. Stayed in the guest king room and honestly not so much space to work with if you have a lot of luggage but it worked for me as a solo traveller. Bed super comfy and shower pressure was so good!! Had to go all the way downstairs for boiling water though but other than that located in Long Island which is one subway stop from manhattan. Great for a first time traveller to NYC. Didn’t get the great view everyone else was talking about.”
“Hotel is simple equiped and easy to reach. Rooms are quiet and the area seems to be very safe. The breakfast is OK in Relation to the price. Employees we're friendly and helpful. WE had a Problem with the hairdryer and it was solved immediately. Airport Transfer not necessary, good Connection by Subway.”
“had the most pleasant and amazing stay at Holiday Inn Express Long Island City E! This hotel really exceeded our expectations!
Service was excellent and it really made a huge difference to our stay! Especially John and Jonathan who were so helpful and friendly. John gave us great tips on travelling like a local! His tips and tricks really made a positive difference to our exploration around NYC! He also constantly checked in with us to make sure our stay was ok! 5 stars! Jonathan was also really nice - so ready and helpful to our every query.
The breakfast was great - pancakes, bagels, sausage, eggs, even biscuits! very filling and satisfying.
Especially great was also the shuttle service - just give a call to the front desk and they will advise on the timing and arrangement of the pick up, so convenient!
Location is super good! Shuttle goes to Vernon-Jackson which is only 1-3 stops away from Grand Central and Times Square! We came back from a broadway show at 10pm with no problem at all :)
THE VIEW is crazy great! made travelling back to queens sooo worth it.
All in all this hotel is truly impressive honestly, worth the price and has so many pleasant surprises all round!”

“I would rate this hotel as a 3.5 out of 5 overall. But let me say some nuance first.
If you need a solid hotel in flushing and you have a bunch of places you want to go to in Manhattan. John hotel is great for a few days.
Pros: absolute phenomenal LOCATION,
Solid room, clean enough except maybe corner spots on on the tub. Good security. 2 blocks away is main street and theres private guards and NYPD at every bank. This place has police 5 minutes away from the hotel.
Location: 7 train subway is 2 blocks away, tangrem mall and movie theater next door, target is 2 to 3 blocks away. The la guardia Q90 bus is across the street pass the avenue and between target and another restaurant.
Theres a laundromat 15 minutes away and a bus to go there. Theres literally several malls(skyview where target is, tangrem, etc) in walking distance and the food choices are ao dense I had trouble deciding which café, restaurant, diner to go to. Near the train subway theres a 24 hour chinese diner for food and a halal cart that services up til 5 am.
And several spas that offer foot ,head, amd back massages. Usually rate is 45 to 60 for an hour.
Cheap halal dinner is 10 bucks for a large portion or 15 to 20 bucks for a sit down diner. Theres Hotpot and korean BBQ for 50 bucks to higher end sushi places for 100 nearby.
Cons: noise at times. I could hear traffic eben from the 7th floor at 11am.
Big one for me: during winter there is only heating. So if you are visiting there during colder weather, the hotel has central heating and even if you put the ac to cool, it will just blow hot. Suggestion is to put it to heat at a temp and when you need to cool down then shut it off. It naturally went to 65 when I was there in December.
Note:By train, its 40 minutes to Manhattan, 50 minutes or so to empire state and about an hour to battery park if youre trying to see the statue of liberty.
Rush hour morning is 7am to 930am.
Afternoon is like 330 to 630pm.
Car: its a one road lane and way to get there. Theres an underground parking lot and the skyview mall parking lot nearby where target is.”

“We stayed at the Opera House Hotel on 4/25/24 with our 2 boys for their first trip to NYC! The staff was welcoming, helpful, and engaging. The hotel was trendy and a delight! Our room was large, very clean, and the beds were comfy. We walked to and from Yankee stadium for a 7pm game with no problem! For those afraid of the community it’s a city and you just need to be mindful of your surroundings. We were lucky to get a parking spot in the back…just make sure to ask for the address of the parking entrance when attempting to use it!!The breakfast the next day was just what we needed before heading to the Bronx Zoo! The 24 hour coffee machine with so many selections was a great perk!Thank you Opera House Hotel for a wonderful experience…we will definitely be back!! To everyone readying this review…just book a room and enjoy the experience!!! It will not disappoint!”

“I stay near LGA and JFK fairly often, and this Aloft location is easily my favorite. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, and the airport shuttle is reliable and prompt—something I truly appreciate when traveling.
The hotel is always nicely decorated for the season, which gives it a welcoming feel, and the rooms are super clean and very comfortable. Breakfast also offers a solid variety of options, making it an easy place to start the day.
Overall, a consistently comfortable and dependable stay.”

“Hotel staff exceptional...hard-working, friendly, helpful. Hotel was immaculate. Breakfast bar was also immaculately maintained..food was fresh and excellent. Good coffee!”
“The staff is very kind, the room is comfortable, and the location is right in the middle of several stores and restaurants in Flushing. Train station is within walking distance, too! I saw someone complain about the complimentary breakfast, but I found it to be pretty decent as far as hotel breakfasts go.”
“Grace Aerial Technologies recently stayed at Hyatt Place Flushing/LaGuardia Airport during a transit-focused visit through Queens. The property stands out for its cleanliness, thoughtful layout, and strong awareness of the surrounding community. For travelers moving through LaGuardia Airport or navigating New York City via public transportation, the hotel provides a practical balance between operational efficiency and guest comfort.
The overall environment is modern, clean, and well maintained. Staff interactions throughout the stay were consistently friendly, professional, and attentive, and communication regarding hotel operations was clear and helpful.
Guest rooms are spacious, quiet, and organized in a way that supports both rest and productivity. Lighting throughout the room is evenly distributed, making the space easy to visually assess upon arrival, while furniture placement allows for comfortable movement of luggage and clear walking paths.
Food service is available on site, though breakfast is not complimentary, which may be important for budget-conscious travelers. The dining options include several Asian-inspired selections that reflect the surrounding Flushing neighborhood, creating a more locally authentic experience compared to typical airport-adjacent hotels.
Safety and operational awareness appear to be a priority throughout the property. Emergency signage, accessibility indicators, and assistance areas are clearly marked, and hallways, elevators, and public spaces are well lit and easy to navigate.
The hotel’s location in Flushing provides strong connectivity to LaGuardia Airport, nearby transit routes, and a dense network of restaurants and neighborhood businesses. This makes the property particularly practical for aviation professionals, international travelers, and guests who want reliable transportation access without staying directly at the airport.
Overall, Hyatt Place Flushing / LaGuardia Airport provides a clean, culturally aware, and transit-friendly stay that balances neighborhood authenticity with professional hospitality standards.

“First time.
Can’t say it’s the best in the city.
But it’s unbeatable.
Can’t believe I used to hundreds for other hotels .
For 60ish bucks a night , can’t say no. Highly recommended.”

“Nobody likes missing a connecting flight, but TWA made it more bearable with their hospitality and convenience to JFK. Our next flight was 24 hours later and upon entering TWA we were greeted with professional service. I paid for the noon check-in seeing as it was only 9 am and normal check-in wasn't until 4. Within a half hour a manager came up to us in the waiting area and had us brought to a room for no extra charge. It was very appreciated. Also, we would have much rather been to our destination, but this was a very unique and interested pitstop. The history and architecture were intriguing. There are food options downstairs as well as a giftshop, so we did not have to leave the hotel once. It was also convenient that the hotel connects directly with terminal 5 so we did not have to go outside in the February weather with our suitcases.”
“Brooklyn area here is safe. The ladies are all super sweet and easy going. Sherri made a wonderful breakfast. The rooms are very nice. The furniture in the common areas are extremely ornate and beautiful to just sit and look at. The tub was a pleasant surprise! And most surprising is how quiet it all is. You'd think all you hear is city noise at night but this place offers a very quiet and peaceful setting!”
“While I didn't stay at this hotel I went by to pay a visit to a long time friend (family) who works at the bar there. I was accompanied by another long time family friend (family) member who surprised her who hadn't seen her in several years and we hung out in this fabulous hotel for a couple of hours just reminiscing about our old stomping grounds and catching up. The ambiance there is so relaxing. Everyone is friendly. My girl who's the bartender will definitely take care of you so feel free to stop in for drinks!!!”

“Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Long Island recently and overall it was… an experience with a few plot twists.
First, the good stuff: the room itself was a decent size, which in hotel terms means I could open my suitcase and still walk around without performing Olympic-level gymnastics. The bed was comfortable, the space was clean, and everything generally looked well kept.
Now for the adventure portion of the stay.
It rained while we were there, so naturally we asked the front desk about umbrellas. Apparently umbrellas at this hotel are a limited-edition collectible item because they had already run out by 8am. So instead of borrowing one like a normal traveler, we ended up buying our own in the rain, which felt less like hospitality and more like a side quest.
Housekeeping also decided to take one of the days off from visiting our room one day, and they only came at 5pm to ask if we wanted our room made up.
As for amenities… well, let’s just say the room believed in minimalism. Very minimalism. If hotel rooms could do yoga, this one would be a minimalist guru.
One surprisingly nice perk: there’s a water station on the gym level where you can refill bottles. Honestly, that little hydration oasis became the MVP of the stay.
Overall: a solid room size, decent comfort, and a nice water refill station — but bring your own umbrella, keep expectations modest on amenities, and maybe give housekeeping a friendly reminder you exist.”

“Clean and organized hotel. The rooms and shared places were all very nice. Even though it’s expensive there is NOT complimentary WiFi. You either have to become a member or pay a fee.”
“Bed was comfortable, room service was impeccable, only downside is they knock while you’re sleeping, despite the door tag stating you don’t need room service. Had to get front desk to get our room card working several times as it would stop working every time we left the building with it. The parking lot is tiny, and almost everyone double parks, so you chance your car being out on the street.
Other than that, I would actually suggest you choose this place if you’re on a budget, rooms are cute and affordable. Only people allowed in the room are people staying. Max people per room is 2.”
