As a 47 year old Teacher, Mom, and Wife I was looking for an exercise program that was engaging, fun, effective and provided a judgement free zone. I have been exercising at Pure Barre since February 2024, and I absolutely LOVE it! I have seen vast improvements in my weight, muscle tone, strength, endurance, overall mood and sense of well being. I greatly enjoy the different class formats offered, and they are easy to learn. I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff at Pure Bare Mount Kisco. They are the friendliest, most helpful, and encouraging group and have made this experience nothing short of amazing. “I walked into her boutique with a tired, grumpy and unhappy attitude and she turned it right around. I ordered two dresses that were completely out of my comfort zone and was panicking because none of my bras were fitting the dress right. I was frustrated!!! I had an hour before the bus came and I ran to Gena store and bought two amazing bras. Immediately tried them on and it was perfect with the bra. She literally made my day!! She really knows her stuff and has a bra for every person.”

“I always hated shopping for clothes, because I couldn't find things that flatter my shape or put together outfits on my own. I even tried a personal shopper at a large retailer and it just didn't work. Shopping was more of a tiring chore than fun activity- until I recently found Marc Cain at The Westchester. I am a convert! They helped style me in outfits that look great and I feel great in. Their collections mix and match and a lot of the clothes don't require dry cleaning. They are comfortable too. I now have work and play gear that fits great, really flatters me, and is comfortable- from clothes, to shoes, to coats. They've made shopping fun and easy. Each time I was there, I noticed the staff did the same for the other customers of different shapes and sizes and all of us left feeling terrific. I've been back a few times and each time has felt like hanging with a bunch of friends who help you look your best. I don't write reviews- but this best kept secret needs to get out!!”
“I am so in love with this store! I’m one of those suckers who grew up in Westchester and has driven by this place a bazillion times, only to one day stumble in asking, “where have you been all my life?!” This shop has been around 22 years with everything, including their stunning dress collection, from off the red carpet and LA film sets and it shows. Everything is funky, special, unique, handcrafted, from pins to classic books to rock t-shirts, signed posters, vinyls and more. The owner is a celebrity stylist who can give one look at you and know what dresses will fit you perfectly. I cannot wait to come back for an event and buy a dress.

“Going to this Altar’d State was a pure example of perfect customer service. I’m not from CT, I’m visiting from out of state, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, I immediately noticed how kind and helpful everyone was. I was greeted at the door, when I went to grab a dress, a worker came and moved all the other hangers to make sure I had room to look for my size. (The rack was packed with stuff) then, I wanted a dress that was hanging high up, the girl dropped everything she was doing and got me the size I wanted, then she took me to the fitting room where the women who worked in the fitting room was so kind and helpful. Everyone working there made sure you had everything you needed, and they were willing to drop everything to help you. I’m from NJ where the closest Altar’d State is American Dream, which is the complete opposite, as some of you may know. Definitely such a nice vibe and experience, loved the staff!
Also, it was so refreshing and nice to walk into a store playing Christian Music, it was so comforting. They definitely made a good decision with that.”
