“These are some of the kindest people I have ever met and they have restored my faith in the importance of the human aspect of choosing a mom and pop business. I had my mother ship something from Florida to New York so the baby could have some nice Christmas gifts and the shipment ended up lost, to me, signed for by someone whose address did not match mine. This kind person, realizing it is Christmas time, brought the package to this store where he had been a long time loyal customer to see if they could work it out and get it to the right people. South shore mailroom then tracked down my mom and held it for us to pick up. It was kind and selfless for everyone involved and i am going to find an excuse to use their services. One very important tip to know: when you drop off a package here, you may be told to use the self-service checkout to scan your FedEx tracking number, or a staff member may scan it for you using the same system. While you will receive a receipt, this scan does NOT immediately upload to the FedEx system. From my experience—both scanning it myself and having staff do it this way—the tracking information did not appear in the FedEx system until the driver arrived for pickup and scanned it, sometimes showing as shipped the next day.

If you need your package to be officially marked as shipped the same day, make sure to hand it directly to the cashier and have them scan the tracking number on their computer. That way, it shows up in the FedEx system immediately.

Aside from that, this location is excellent. There is a small parking lot outside, but it’s rarely crowded, so parking is usually easy and convenient.

The hours are also longer than many FedEx shipping centers, which makes it very flexible:

* Monday–Friday: 8 AM – 7 PM
* Saturday: 9 AM – 7 PM
* Sunday: 12 PM – 6 PM

The staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. There’s typically little to no line, so the whole process is quick and saves a lot of time.

Overall, this is a very convenient and reliable FedEx location. As long as you know the difference between self-service scanning and cashier scanning, you’ll have a smooth experience every time. Highly recommended!”

Found This "Ups Authorized Shipper" today On Waze. Their name is Boxes and Bytes .
Thought I'd give it a try on the way home to do my Amazon return!
Right off the bat Lou was already trying to help me the moment i walked in . He told me it was free to ship and referred me to smithtown UPS store.
Now I'm posting this because not only was he super nice and super patient cause I can be real slow sometimes . .
He told me they will just scan the QR code and take me return. He was being 100% honest and didn't wanna charge a fee for the email. However. I was like Hold Up wait a minute... I've been to both smithtown and brentwood.. and Both times they couldn't scan the QR Code. They also required "email label to a friend" and charged fee for printing.. Now the difference is, which Lou explained to me.. cause I thought this was normal.. they are offical UPS owned storefronts.. they have a contract with UPS and are credited by Amazon Hence the FREE return part.
So this was a revelation for both of us haha.
So long story Short.. If your gonna be paying for Amazon returns even if it's just a few bucks.. Support your local businesses. And save the extra drive cause B&B is right around the corner.
I FOUND MY designated place for returns and I'm super glad about it cause Amazon been screwing up orders left and right.

“Always use them when I'm in NY! They make it very convenient to return or drop off packages through UPS. The only downfall is that it's inside Staples so if you don't know UPS is there you won't know to go there.”

“I recently visited Staples and had a mixed but overall decent experience.

I went in looking for a few specific items and initially received some help from a staff member. She pointed me in the right direction, though I ended up having to search quite a bit on my own to find what I needed. I was specifically looking for parchment-style paper for an award, and it took a while to locate. Unfortunately, no one checked in while I was searching, which made the process a bit frustrating.

When I finally found the paper, it was quite expensive (around $30), but I needed it, so I purchased it anyway. I understand prices are higher these days, but it still felt a bit steep.

At the front of the store, I had a better experience. A young man was very helpful and polite when I asked a question. However, he had to assist another customer while helping me, and I ended up waiting and eventually leaving before finishing everything I needed.

The store itself seemed a bit low on inventory, but that could just be temporary restocking.

Overall, I’d give this location 4 stars mainly because of its convenience—it’s very close to my home—and the helpful attitude of the staff when they were available. With a bit more support on the floor and better stock, the experience could easily be improved.”

“I sent 4 boxes, I was afraid because of the negative comments. But I have to tell you that everything arrived as well as I sent it. The only thing is that two of my boxes were dirty with oil on the outside. I didn't send oil, but apparently some oil was spilled near my boxes and dirty two. Everything arrived very quickly. It only took 17 days.”

“The lady at the desk I forgot to look at her name but she was very polite, professional and kind. My family and I went to apply for passports for my kids and we had gone to the one in Centereach and they were not helpful at all. I booked an appointment the first time and they didn't help me bc they said the appoitment was supposed to be earlier but I got there on time but didn't know I had to fill-out applications first made another appointment and got there on time there was a line and then they said that they couldn't help me bc the pictures were not supposed to look like that that the hair had to be down, they found any excuse to not help and that they were busy that day to book another appointment for another day even tho it was only 9:30am so I went to this one in CI and they were the best of the best.”

“This post office is great . James was super helpful and took his time to help me with my questions and prices . Going to the post office can sometimes be an anxiety inducing process. But this location is very cozy and usually isn’t packed with a line . I’d recommend going to this location if you are in the area for your postal needs.
