“Recently the new owners have added an all you can eat Indian food buffet. I was there today and the buffet was small but the food was excellent I was there in the afternoon about an hour before the buffet was over and the food was still fresh, warm and tasty. Much better than the frozen meals i have been getting at the supermarket. You can also do take out. The dining area was neat and clean and quiet. It's not a five star restaurant but the food is good and the price is reasonable. No more frozen Indian cuisine for me.”

“This Save-A-Lot is unusual to say the least. Sometimes it has the feel of a market place in Mexico, the on-site meat cutters have a good selection of meats, including some you might not find in other grocery stores, both in animal and cut. This is a good place for pig's feet, beef tongue, I get pork butts there when they have good deals. Mexican and Caribbean produce is also right up front just as you walk through the door, I like that walking into a produce market feel. The rest of the place is just a clean, well-stocked, grocery store. It's small and the staff have always been nothing but nice to me. Bring your own bags or boxes.”

“Stopped here while on vacation, a lovely little farm, and the gentleman was super friendly and funny. My husband and him talked for a long time. We got maple syrup and some honey, which are incredibly delicious. Best maple syrup we have ever had. Highly recommend stopping here even if passing through. I love visiting local people when we are vacationing. Rather, give my money to small businesses than large corporations.”

“Excellant customer service. They greet you as soon as you enter. Very willing to help and assist you. Nice helpful employees. Easy checkout. Outstanding service and enjoy shopping there. My pick definitely in Fredonia. Stay away from Casey's in Fredonia. Huge disappointment. Spoiled milk and they don't want to exchange only to get another spoiled milk. Coffee is never available at 7:30am after stopping 3 separate times to purchase.*** Dollar General gets my VOTE! Thank you Dollar General for being in our Community.”
“Love the grocery pickup. They need to put benches back in the store! The electric carts are never charged unless you get there at the crack of dawn. If they would put the benches back handicapped people could rest for a bit and might not need the electric carts. The store is too big to not have benches!”
“The employees at the Dollar general on 4th Street in dunkirk are awesome people. Today (12/27/21) approximately around 3pm I went to get groceries and my gift card wouldn't work. I got discouraged and was going to leave when the manager Doreen told me she would take care of it along with a customer. I'm beyond thankful for these people. They don't even have to but they make sure we leave with everything we need regardless. For them to spend their own money on people they don't even know is beyond a blessing. I'll continue to give them my service because you don't find that ANYWHERE these days. I hope they are recognized for what they did for me today. I know I'll never forget them as long as I live.”

“No plastic bags at this location, only old school paper bags at the self checkout registers. Big rig/RV parking possible in the northeast end - enter through the left side of the store and go around the back passing the auto center bays. Overnight parking not allowed as per posted signs, just stopped in for food and a computer keyboard.”
