Karin's dye workshop at Better Than Jam Studio was so informative and fun. This is a great space to work in, the classes are kept small, and the one that I took offered excellent exposure to different fabric dying techniques. I highly recommend and will be doing more workshops here in the future.

Karin is an incredibly passionate educator and it was a pleasure to take the itajime class. It was appropriate for anyone, regardless of prior experience or level of expertise. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back for more classes!
"Better Than Jam" is the textile printing and fashion line of owner Karin Persan, since 2007. The newest space, post Covid, of the same name is now at 10 Grattan Street. There is a small showroom with remnants of the boutique that ran 10+ years that hosted handmade creations of local designers. However the space now is mainly the large private studio of the creator, where screenprinting and textile dyeing occurs. You will be welcomed into the artist's creation space! A little different for returning students but still great and lucky to have.
