“I can’t recommend this boutique enough! I was floored with the beautiful and unique options across clothes and accessories! From tailored pieces to items from Trinidad and Tobago, this place is incredible.
The staff - Rosemary and Ariana were so friendly and helpful in helping me with sizing and finding key pieces.
I walked away with beautiful earrings, a custom top, and gorgeous floral barrel jeans that will be summer stables.
It’s in a great location and easy to access via subway.
It’s POC and women owned as an added bonus!

“One of the rarest stores you’ll come across anywhere in the world. Kai D thoughtfully designs each collection and arranges the space with such care—it feels less like a shop and more like a quiet celebration of slow craft.
As a customer turned friend, I’ve been coming here for years, sometimes just to step in and absorb the calm, grounded energy that both the space and Kai naturally offer. Mun, another designer whose work is carried in the store, is often there on weekends, and it’s always a joy to see them both.
What they share is a deep commitment to making—truly living the artist’s way. Everything is created with intention: slow, authentic, and uncompromising. The designs feel timeless, with a sensitivity to materials that makes each piece something you can live in and return to for years.
This past weekend, I stopped by during a spontaneous stroll. Kai and Mun welcomed me so warmly, pulling pieces they could imagine me in—it felt like playing dress-up with old friends. I left with a beautiful Japanese-collar jacket, generously gifted by Kai, and I’ll likely be back soon for a shirt I fell in love with that day.

Additionally, there was a mix-up with my return and they were understanding, gracious and cordial in resolving the issue. “I’ve been a customer of Diana’s for years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. I have bought many thobes and dresses from them but most recently, I was looking for a dress for a wedding. I spent three months looking for a modest dress online but as a hijabi it is quite challenging. I walked into Diana’s but couldn’t find what I was looking for initially. The store owner came up to me and asked what I was looking for. I explained my situation and he immediately pulled up a picture of a dress and said he could order it for me and have it ready the very next day. It was perfect: it was the exact color, material, and modest silhouette I was looking for. I asked him to order it and the next day SubhanAllah I walked in and the store was packed with people buying this dress for Eid. I was so happy for everyone to get their Eid dresses and Alhamdulillah I was able to get my dress in the color and size I needed. The store owner then asked everyone to thank ME for being the one to order this dress initially even though it is thanks to Diana and her team that I have a beautiful dress for a dear friend’s wedding Alhamdulillah. All in all, I write this to say that it is an honor and a gift to support a local business rooted in ethics and Palestinian heritage. It means so much to me as a hijabi to find something I feel beautiful in and most importantly adheres to Islamic principles of modesty. Thank you very much to the wonderful team at Diana’s!”

On the corner is cafe rue dix a wonderful Senegalese restaurant owned by the same couple. This is more than a clothing store , there are jewelry imported from Senegal along with teas , spices, and locally made skincare products, hair and cosmetics. And a high art nail studio that uses non-toxic nail products. A treat from Senegal to right here in the borough of Brooklyn.”

Needless to say, we went back, were greeted with the warmth and styled with the keen eye of Yael — and walked away with a few pieces that are beautifully made, extremely versatile, and fit my “PPW” category (price per wear), i.e., investment pieces that will go the distance. That said, I think the prices are actually quite reasonable in comparison to some of the other boutique shops in the area. AND from what I read online about Meg, she rides for causes that are also close to my heart, so even better to be stimulating the economy in this store. Thanks, Yael, and thanks, Meg!
