“Nice location. Clean. Staff was customer service friendly and very helpful. Walking distance to shopping food and the Brooklyn bridge! I’ll be back!Update: Yes a year later I came back. Hotel was on point again, the only thing was the cardio equipment wasn’t working well it the fitness center other than that, still a great stay.”

“Crisp & clean contemporary style with active night life. As You Are restaurant has great breakfasts (cinnamon rolls, banana bread, carrot cake, and traditional breakfast). Great location for visiting anywhere in Brooklyn and jumping off to Manhattan, too.”

“This hotel was a perfect location for a 6 night getaway to visit our son and celebrate my wife’s birthday. Just a few blocks from the L train which takes you straight to Manhattan staying at the Wythe gives you easy access to the city and a great property and neighborhood that relax in.Our room at the Wythe was a “Brooklyn View” and I t was warm and comfy when it was freezing outside. Well appointed and stocked the room had above average soundproofing which made it a great place for me to chill as I needed some down time to help me recover from a long illness. Both the bar and restaurant were great and staff were excellent, always ready to make your stay memorable. It made for a fun, nice homey vibe that made for a memorable trip.Of course it’s easy to get top marks when everything goes right, in our case there was a hiccup related to some maintenance (repair happens) and this time a where the manager Grace stepped up and stopped the work and did everything possible to make things right. After 40 years in business I can tell you it’s how organizations handle hiccups that shows true professionalism and Grace is a true Pro”

“rooms are nice enough but they blast music at the bar downstairs until very late despite the fact that very few people are actually in the bar enjoying it. just a nuisance to hotel guests. would not recommend staying here unless you are looking for a hotel that is trying so pathetically hard to also be a club in the lobby. it’s giving identity crisis”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here a couple of months ago and it really changed my perception about how much it matters where you stay on vacation.Every morning we had breakfast with other couples and people who all come from various walks of life. Each conversation was stellar and insightful. Not to mention our wonderfully spirited and kind host Randy who not only made sure we had a great stay, but gave us great life advice and has wisdom worth millions. We will never forget our experience! Hope to be back soon. :)”

“I would give more than 5 stars if I could. This hotel is very nice, clean and modern. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The restaurant has a nice bar and the service and food was delicious. The entire staff were all very nice. I especially want to thank Martin.Food & drinks: The food and drinks were amazing!”

“Eureka is a valuable employee at Ft Hamilton Lodging. She was the face of Ft Hamilton during our weekend getaway. We appreciated how friendly she was every time we stopped at the front desk. She not only smiled but also highly professional and helpful. You rock, Eureka! You’re doing a great job. Hope to see you again!Nearby activities: Fort Hamilton is our go-to for lodging when visiting NYC”

“Everything is good, except for the rumble of the railway outside the window... (IMHO, the noise level is outside environmental standards)+ From the windows of the 5th floor you can see the skyscrapers of Manhattan. The hotel is currently closed.”

“This hotel is at very convenient location. You can walk to everything. The staff are friendly as well. Only downside is the parking they have partnership with. The hotel has a partnership with them which charges the guests $30 per night which I think it’s very reasonable but what I wasn’t told is that I must leave the parking lot before 12 PM. We went out to get some food after checkout and when we returned to pick up our car we were told we need to pay $30 some dollars for 2 hrs. That’s like we need to pay for 3 nights. No one ever mentioned this. NOT THE FRONT DESK OR THE PARKING STAFF. There were like 9 other poster on their cashier window and they expect you to read all of them to find out. I don’t mind paying 45 per night but you gotta tell me upfront. This makes me feel like being scammed so badly!!!Walkability: You can walk to everything. restaurants, supermarkets, banks, you name it”

“Minus one star because of the insane bar prices... $25 margs? Lol. Perfect view. Beautiful space. Exactly what you'd expect from 1. Still come here frequently to impress people from out of town. Worth it for a drink, but just one.”

“The location was nice, rooms were nice, but when I came down to switch rooms as they said was necessary Areanna was extremely short and rude at the front desk. She immediately shut me down when asking questions and was very hard to deal with. ”

“Room was a bit outdated as far as interior design but extremely comfortable and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and accomdating, was allowed to check in an hour earlier than normal. Location is prime as you are around a bunch of restaurants, stores, laundromats, etc. also, you have the subway right outside that connects you to Manhattan and other parts of NYC!”

“My fiance & I spent our anniversary (thanksgiving) here & at first checking in was annoying because they only take card -no cash -unless you already have the full amount in your card... Which makes no sense... In the room there was no refrigerator... We had to call the front desk to ask for one.... But the room was nice and cozy.... If you get the Queen Deluxe room. We will return again in the future. It was nice.”

“I stayed at Brooklyn Way for the first time Aug 2018 along with my brother who had 2 rooms when we were having the funeral for our Dad. I'll definitely stay here again in the future. The staff was professional and accommodating and the Manager Shack went out of his way to be helpful. The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean and modern, the warm breakfast hit the spot (even for my athletic nephews), the location is convenient with the train and stores nearby. The only problem I had was extending my stay. The hotel was booked up!! “Perfect location in the Downtown Brooklyn area. Near all the trains, walkable, so many stores and restaurants. Although the hotel restaurant, Black Walnut is terrific! Great food menu and cocktails. The bartenders are friendly and know what they’re doing! From management (Paul & Maura), front desk (Esteffanie & George) and restaurant staff, everyone is friendly and professional. You won’t regret staying here. I travel a lot for work and this is my go-to.Food & drinks: Black Walnut restaurant has great food and drinks. Staff are friendly and professional.”

“We only spent one night in the hotel due to its proximity to the airport before moving on. The hotel is a bit outside if you want to go straight into the city. Parking spaces were available, although a bit tight. The room was perfectly okay, a bit dark. Hotel is definitely a bit old.The breakfast was typically American, but there was plenty of choice and it was tasty. Coffee was always available at reception. There were a few restaurants nearby and there was also a small harbor in front of the door.So we recommend it as a stopover at any time.”

“Room was super clean, only thing strange was the 2 hookers in front both offered me a great price, one was latina from Venezuela and the other a dark skinned one. I ended up with the latina as she seemed the cleanest of the 2 and the most affordable. Regardless the rooms and front desk were up to par and super affordable, will stay here again”

“I stayed here 4 years ago and rated the NU Hotel one star at that time. I returned last week due to the location and was pleasantly surprised by all the improvements they have made to the experience. The bathrobes and bath amenities as well as all day coffee and tea enhance the stay. The breakfast was a bit better as well. The staff were much mire friendly and accommodating than during my last stay. Yes, the construction going on in the vicinity is annoying to listen to, but it doesn't interrupt normal sleeping hours. My only sleep disturbance was having to listen to other guests slamming their bedroom doors. Perhaps the hotel could install soft close mechanisms or post a sign asking guests to close doors softly. The very low beds and very weak shower pressure are my only other critiques.”

“Just spent 7 days attending a funeral. I love the place. New facility with comfortable bed, great shower. The staff is fantastic! They are always ready to assist. Delicious FREE breakfast with eggs, bacon, variety of breads/muffins/croissant, oatmeal, and waffle maker; coffee, tea, and and juice 24 hours. Thank you Jeannie for keeping me fed!I had a great view of the water. A very nice small shopping center within walking distance, and many more variety of stores all around. Very secure with police substation across (no siren). I recommend highly.”

“Had a 10hr layover in JFK Airport so needed a place to lay my head.Just 10mins away from the airport.Hotel offers airport shuttle, once an hour only, on the half an hour.Breakfast served between 5 and 9 - pastries, omelette, oat, fruits, teas and juices. Does what it says on the can.I like itThanks a lot .”

“Nice place but the neighborhood is much different than what we’re used to. Parking can be very difficult although we lucked out and grabbed a spot literally three feet from the front door. That was super lucky. It’s about a ten minute walk to the subway. The room was the smallest we’ve ever been in with only a couple feet of space around the big soft king bed. Staff were very friendly and easy check-in/ checkout. There is a nice little bar area in the lobby.”

“Traveled here on business. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve been to in my life. Crusty yellow stains on the blankets. Blood and semen stains behind the headboards. Hair on the towels. Black water damage coming from pipe on the ceiling. The lobby had to have been 90-100 degrees. Absolutely disgusting hotel. Made the staff switch my room after 15 mins of begging (they didn’t believe me). The second room was slightly better, but not by much.”

“It’s a perfect boutique hotel. Great location. I caught the LIRR to the Atlantic station which lets you off by the Barclays Center then caught a UBER to the hotel. But next time i will take the LIRR from the airport and walk to the hotel next time. The area is up and coming currently being gentrified. Lots of people jogging and walking their dogs. The front desk was PHENOMENAL! He helped me with directions to walk to an event I was going to and his customer service overall was GREAT!The room that I stayed in gave a minimalist loft type vibe. High ceiling, and wooden platform bed with concrete floors. Everything was clean and gave a home sweet home feeling.Another thing is they WELCOME fur babies which is good to know for the future if I decide to bring my mini schnauzer. Although I didn’t see any dogs in the building.I look forward to staying again and it was perfect for me and my stay in NYC”

“Hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the staff was great. I stayed here for one night and it was exactly what I needed. I visit the city often, but rarely stay at hotels. I needed one that was close enough to Rockefeller, but not crazy on the price and this was the perfect one.”
