“Brooklyn Tails is one of my favorite stops as a dog walker. I bring my pack by and Johnny, the owner, is always there with treats and a smile. The dogs love him—it’s honestly one of the highlights of our route.
The store has a great selection for both cats and dogs (I’ve got two cats at home), and Johnny’s always happy to help if I need something specific. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, and just a great neighborhood spot. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals and his customers.
Support small businesses like this—they’re the heart of the community.”
“Best neighborhood pet shop! Felix is knowledgeable and has just about everything stocked in his store- if you don’t see it- just ask (for example- crickets) Don’t hesitate to stop in - a gem in this neighborhood!”
“Mo and his dad make this spot a true neighborhood gem! I'm in here a few times a week, sometimes even when I don't need anything, simply because my dogs absolutely refuse to walk down Manhattan Ave without stopping in to say hello and get a treat from Mo. they literally sit down on the sidewalk and won't budge until I give in and cross the street. Both Mo and his dad are super helpful, especially for people like me who have never had a puppy before and need all the tips on important ingredients for puppy food, how to manage his insane shedding (furminator!), and most importantly, the apple cider vinegar anti-chew spray they recommended when I told them about Leo's love of chewing my work heels--their guidance saved my sanity and my shoes. Also when the vet told me to get a product for Leo's ear infection and they didn't have it, Mo ordered it for me and it was there in two days.”
“Booking was very easy once you submit a questionnaire about your dog's up to date vaccines. I expressed my hesitation to my natural pet because my dog is very often very timid with strangers and afraid of loud noises (the dryer) . To my surprise she was hyper and looked happy when they were done with her grooming. She even tried to go back down the stairs where they groomed her. It came out to $120-130, which included wash and dry, anal gland expression and cut nails. ( she is 70 lbs). In my opinion this was more than I thought it would be but we also never professional groomed her before, so not sure this is standard. However, I would Definitely take her back bc she looked very shiny, not stressed and they took their time with her because she is a shy dog. Thanks again!”
“I’ve ordered two birthday cakes in the past 7 months and both were big hits with our dogs. The cakes are beautifully decorated and the service at Little L’s is refreshingly courteous and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back for more baked treats!”
“This store is a bit out of my way, but I'm happy to support the owner as often as I can after many years of lovely encounters at the pet store where he used to work. Bonus points that the aisles are wide enough for my stroller to go down! I've never used their delivery service, but it is helpfully offered as an option every time I buy a huge bag of cat litter (which fits nicely in the bottom of my huge stroller).”
“I cannot recommend this place enough to all pet owners who love their pups. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to both owners and they are a WEALTH of knowledge. They’re so thoughtful and that is reflected in the products they sell.”
“We got our cava shih tzu from nyc breeders and we couldn’t be more happier. linda was so kind and answered all of our questions whenever we needed great place to meet your pup for life”
“Who's Your Doggy has friendly and knowledgeable staff, wide variety of brands, and a grooming facility. The staff at the Halsey Street has answered my questions successfully and offering great advice on how to care for Pepsi. It is Pepsi's "Macy's".
They are attentive, compassionate, skilled and thoroughly dependable.
I left my phone at the store and they immediately located my address and return it to me, with a smile. They are family.”
“Such a super inviting atmosphere. This is definitely gunna be my pet shop from now on. The vibe is everything. Not a lot of New York employees are that kind and funny really so it’s really a Gem.”

“My dog had a cracked nail that was bothering her and they were so great with her. They cleaned it and were able to manage the crack so it wasn’t so bothersome to her. They saw her right away too on short notice. Would recommend this pet salon to anyone.”
“Employees are very friendly , knowledgeable and nice ! They always have what you’re looking for and if they are ever out of something they are always replaced quickly . Their Dubia roaches are a little expensive at $1.00 a roach but it saves the headache of running around to the chain pet shops that are usually out of stock most of the time. Highly recommend this place !”
“Absolutely amazing store with everything you could possibly need for your pet's needs!! The owner is friendly and so informative!!! A must for all pet owners to go there-shop small businesses-shop local!!”

“Very friendly employees, they were very helpful, I just purchased a chinchilla from them and they even let me interact with him before being able to take him home. I can’t wait to get my little guy, and I appreciate the help I got from the women there!!”
“I visited Bushwick Bark because the were hosting a cat adoption event, which means I went in with a very positive feeling about the business even before I entered. So, trying my best to be objective, I can report they have a great selection of toys, displayed such that it's easy to find something if you know what you want and also fun to browse if you haven't yet decided what you want for your pet. The store is small, but they have been smart with using space so you don't feel cramped even though there is a lot of inventory on display Add to all that a friendly and attentive staff, and Bushwick Bark does deserve a five-star review.”

“This is my go to spot for all my pet needs. My lil guy tries to go in every time and it makes sense. They treat him well. They treat all the pets well. Solid selection and stellar service.”
“So I went to this place to shop for my new kitten, they have a lot of great products for good prices, and very helpful. ALSO the guy who was working there realized I forgot something and ran like three blocks to bring it to me. Very nice shoutout to him ????”
“Homemade Natural pet treats made fresh and with love! My fur-baby love the different flavors and so do we because we know that they are made with healthy ingredients. The owner is very professional and kind. Orders are processed in a timely manner. We live in another state. Using the website to order is awesome! We use the company’s online service to order our products and ALWAYS receive our items promptly.Thank you Potbelly Pete for making sure our furbaby is eating healthy.”
“Always friendly and well stocked! Our dog gets a bit fidgety while getting his nails trimmed, but they handle him so well here and do a great job. Grateful they’re around the block!”
“I've been a regular customer for about four years. The store footprint is tiny, almost a hole in the wall. Yet their selection of wet and dry cat food for my 20 year old cat is vast and far larger than the typical Petco selection. Service is friendly and attentive. Pet owners should keep this store on their list. I have bought the higher end Weruba brand cat food for my cat.”

“Great selection of food. I normally have to go to 2 or 3 different stores to get all the food my cats like but this store has all the brands and flavors. Prices are on par with other stores. Employees are very friendly and helpful.”
“They have a great range of quality raw, frozen and organic dog foods and chews. We came here to use the self service wash as our new apartment doesn’t have a bath big enough for our greyhound. The staff are incredibly warm and we will definitely be back!”
“I really enjoy buying my puppy pads from them. I can order them in a few days they are at my home. Great value for the money. Glad I found y’all makes my life easy just hit buy again. Thank you”

“i can't say anything bad about the puppy boutique. i got a morkie almost 11 years ago and have been loving my furbaby up until she passed away resently. the people from the puppy boutique have been wonderful from begining until now the end. they will help me get a new puppy when it is time. i have sent a number of friends through the years to get puppies and they like me are happy with the service we had recieved. my dog was the most loved by all in our family. she was a great companion, watch dog, service dog, and most of all, family member. i'd like to thank the puppy boute for keeping intouch with me and we will be coming back soon for a new furbaby.”
“My favorite pet store in the city! The owner is so kind and helpful. I always enjoy stopping by! Prices are very fair and he has a great selection of cat toys, food, and other necessities.”

“Pricing was $85 plus tip, cash only, pricing is according to weight and difficulty. I just needed my dog to have a trim and a bath so he can have a longer coat for the winter. They had a long waitlist of dogs this day but took care of my dog relatively well despite the pressure. His main trouble areas are around his ears and paws where his hair gets matted and they took care of that pretty well. This place doesn’t brush your dog’s teeth which makes sense, but would be nice.Looking forward to going back!”

“Gone to the Dogs is RAD. We were able to bring in our cat Bincho (who perhaps identifies as a dog) to get custom fitted for a jacked by Roxana. The whole process was very smooth and everyone made sure that Bincho was ultimately very happy with his new jacket. Cheers to long walks in the yard in cold weather with Bincho!”
“Great selection of pet food, reasonable prices. The guy who is usually cashiering is really nice and sometimes gives me free dog treats. Never heard the owner have a conservative rant near me but that's neither here nor there atp because they are the closest and most reasonably priced place to get my dogs food. For the people who say they got expired pet food--do you not check the label when you buy something at the store? I guarantee petco et al are slow at shelf rotation sometimes. That's on you.”
