“Myself and 5 other people went to The Drunken Labatory Brooklyn to celebrate my cousins birthday. Each table seated 6 people so we had a table to ourselves. It was like $75 per person. When you enter you are asked to select one of the theme drinks, and given a shot. You are asked to come up with a sexy scientist name and put on your lab coat. We had a DJ who played good music. We also had a host/Professor who was very lively. You are able to order additional drinks (card only). Be prepared to do actual science project and answer trivia questions. Your prize is more shots. We definitely enjoyed ourselves”

“Nora made our baby showerVision come true! From the moment we went to see the venue she was kind and inviting. She understood my vision and went immediately to work. She responded to every email and phone call promptly and was always there to help along the way with any questions to ease the process. My guests loved the decor, the venue was clean and comfortable which is exactly what we wanted for our small number of guests. I cannot thankNora enough for her attention to each detail.Definitely recommend! Just bring your food and drinks!”

“The NYC Transit Museum is a must-visit for any New Yorker or visitor interested in the city's rich history. I'm impressed that this underground gem offers a fascinating look into the evolution of the subway system, from its early days to the modern-day marvels we rely on today.

If you're looking for a unique and educational experience, the NYC Transit Museum is definitely worth a visit. (Please don't let go of the metro card).”

“I had my daughter’s 5th birthday here in March and it was amazing! The staff were so polite, professional from start to finish, and helpful! They set everything up for you and clean up, they even helped me get everything back to my car. They even sanitized everything before our party which I appreciated being that my little one gets sick easily. The games were so much fun for both parents and kids! I work in operations so I know all the work and level of detail it takes to run things as efficiently as they did. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because a couple of the gaming systems downstairs were not working. Everything else was perfect!”

“Bric is awesome to its community. These people are aware, present, and capable. Providing programs, exhibits, markets, education, tools, space, community. I was honored to pop up with MFTA for BRIC, then I got hooked up on their classes and I can’t get enough. Thank you for providing such dynamic in a city that really needs it.”

“We arrived right at 5 pm when they opened and were seated straight away. It's sad that they're closing their N9 location, but the new place looks stunning. It's great that they have event space in the back so it doesn't shut down for weddings. The service was really attentive, although you could tell they're still getting used to things. We tried the Chef's whim, which they made vegetarian for us. The portions are good for sharing between 2-4 people. The blue cheese was tasty, but the veggies didn't impress much. The pear was a nice surprise for dessert. It was disappointing they don't serve Brussels sprouts anymore, but I'll try more of their dishes next time. The wine selection is good. I had the bubbly and the Riesling. The bubbly wasn't my favorite, but the Riesling was decent, not too sweet. I also tried the Pinot noir and enjoyed it the most.Overall, it's a great place for meeting friends or a date night. It's best to make a reservation unless you want to try your luck early on.”

“I had so much fun! It was so amazing to see the two chefs dishes as they went head to head.

Hudson table did such a good job of providing a fun and entertaining atmosphere as we saw chefs present new dishes with ingredients given to challenge them.

Totally would recommend to anyone who loves trying new foods!”

“The Live Loft is a multi use space. I went there for a surprise birthday, and the space was clean and ready to be decorated. The area is an industrial business area so parking is available but can be difficult. When going to the loft space, keep in mind you have to walk up a flight of stairs and then to the specific room/loft. The bathroom is a walk down the hall that can seem far to some. The bathroom was clean. The loft itself is clean and in good condition, it can definitely fit 20-30 ppl but keep in mind if you add tables or other things it will shrink the space. Overall, I'm giving this space a 7 and would return.”

“My students loved the art experience provided by Art Fun Studio in Bay Ridge! The instructor, Alla, came to our school and taught three first-grade classes through unique step-by-step methods that were engaging, informative and fun! Alla’s assistant, Eugene was extremely helpful as well. Our children were so excited to display their art work. I would highly recommend the Art Fun Studio to any school who’d like to host such a wonderful art experience for their students.”

“Businesses like this are what make Greenpoint so special. Archestratus is a rare gem that brings community together and creates an authentic place to shop, eat and hang in the neighborhood. I always pop in when I need a special gift for a friend or some fresh groceries for home. Paige is so sweet and creative and puts a lot of love into the space.”

“Cute place and my son had fun which is the most important part. I was going to comment on the lack of padding on the ball pit floor, but then read that they have padded vinyl. I do think that for parents who don’t know this, padding in the ball pit would allow for peace of mind. Additionally, having staff organize the toys in between the time slots would allow for an optimal play experience (maybe they usually do this-but didn’t seem to happen the day I visited). For example, the themed areas (supermarket, hospital, etc) were empty because, as children do, the items were taken to other parts of the play space and not returned back. While parents hold some responsibility for this, periodic organization by the staff would have made this a 5-star experience.”

“When I saw that this place only had 13 reviews, I had to speak up. My son and I have been to Eleanore’s Saturday morning class for toddlers several times. Eleanore is a gem—warm, engaging, and so creative. Every time we go, all the art stations are new and my kiddo is psyched! Well worth the price. The space feels a little small at first, but for little kids that can actually be a plus. It keeps them focused on what they’re doing and easier to wrangle. Thank you so much, Eleanore!”

“Truly a special place. Each and every member of their team is kind, caring, and passionate. After my first visit, I immediately felt a sense of belonging and I've been coming back with my friends ever since. FirstLive books a range of performers, but their mission to elevate those artists who are on their way up invites real community. You'll likely get a chance to personally thank the musicians and mix with others artists if that's your thing. If that isn't, just a good vibe all around regardless. Easy to talk to strangers at a place like this and make a meaningful connection. If you're going into the soundroom to watch the performances up close, don't forget your earplugs!

FirstLive is a gem in Bushwick! Will always be grateful I ventured out that very first time. ??”

“"Best trip ever!!!" That is all I heard from both students and parents as we sadly exited Ferox Ninja Park.

As a NYC teacher for 19 years, Ferox was right up there with one of the most well-rounded field trip experiences I provided for my students. Starting with Zack and trickling down to the entire coaching staff (comprising of ACTUAL ninja warriors), everyone was so knowledgeable and accommodating to our class. The coaches we were blessed with on our field trip were Kevin Carbone and Ramcis Valdez. My students and eye watched YouTube videos of them in action prior to our excursion so you can imagine their delight when meeting these heroes in person. They guided the students through every obstacle course by modeling and providing professional tips.

If you are a NYC teacher and are looking to provide a unique field trip experience for your students that breaks from the norm, I could not recommend Ferox Ninja Park any higher.”

“I took my 10 year old. The place was very clean & staff members were kind and responsive. The initial price was within reasonable range for Brooklyn, but can quickly add up if you go with a few kids. I like that there is no entry fee for adults, but keep in mind that toddlers as young as 18 months need to pay full price. At the time I went, it was $17 for non-school days, and that only includes entry; access to the ball pit, climbing wall, foam pit, and slide. You need to buy a game card separately. The cheapest option is $10 for 88 play credits. The Maxperience 7D ride costs an additional $6. They have a special running where you get entry, 100 play credits & 1 Maxperience ride for $27. Bear in mind that you can't split those play credits over 2 cards, so it's for a single child to use.
The place is not so big, but the layout is smart and maximizes the space without feeling cluttered. There are about 20 different arcade games, with multiples of some of them, so there are more than 20 in total. The arcade games cost between 10 and 50 play credits to play, which comes out to $1.14 - $5.68 per play if you buy the cheapest game card. There are very few games that cost 10 or 12 credits; most cost in the 20ish credit range, some in the 30s & only 3 or 4 go as high as 50 credits. If you want to go crazy with the arcades, it adds up quickly.
My daughter had a great time! She really enjoyed the ball pit when she met friends there, but expressed that she wished it was deeper. She also liked the rings that are suspended over the foam pit. The foam pit is on the small side, so once 4 kids are in there, it gets cluttered. (For a foam pit that size, it would be smart if they'd put a balance beam across the length and have 2 vinyl/foam joust sticks so it becomes a fun activity for 2 where kids can wrestle each other on the balance beam to try to get their opponent to fall in. That would turn it into a fun activity as opposed to a small foam pit that gets boring after 5 minutes.)
My daughter especially loved the Maxperience ride. She said it was so scary and felt real. There's a big screen that the riders view through 3d glasses, the seats move, fans blow air, & water gets misted at the riders at specific times during the ride. The ride lasts for 5 minutes. It's worth the $6 price.
The climbing wall is very small, & though it has a rotating function so you can continuously keep climbing, they keep it shut off for child safety purposes. So my daughter, who loves to climb, was done with that in about 30 secs.
When my daughter played the arcade games, some of them malfunctioned in the middle; one didn't award her tickets, another one with a ball got stuck, etc. The staff was super helpful and immediately fixed the issue and swiped their game card to give her another play. With the machine that had a ticket error, they manually added those tickets to her card.
My daughter was also really happy with the selection of prizes she was able to get with the points she earned from playing the arcades. Make sure your child knows what they want before making their selection bec they won't allow you to switch the prize once they begin helping the next customer.
When my daughter found a game card in the ball pit, she remembered that earlier, a girl had said she lost her card in the balls, but she didn't remember who it was. So we asked the staff if there's any way to find the owner by matching the barcode to the credit card used to purchase it. They said they can't really trace it, so if you find a card, it's your lucky day. We said that if the person that lost it is still there, we want to give it to them. They helped us find the person that lost it. But then the employee remembered that they replaced that person's card for them, so they said that now we need to give it to them. I felt that it was a bit unfair & hypocritical - if it causes a loss only to the customer that lost it, you can keep it, but if i”

“Maison May was the perfect wedding venue for us. The planning and event was seamless and stress free from beginning to end from the responsive, warm and professional owner and coordinator interactions, the staff, the food, the ambiance, the intimacy. This venue was absolutely what my husband and I were envisioning. We planned our wedding in less than a month and felt completely taken care of and worry free. Our garden ceremony was perfect as well. Thank you Catherine and Claudia. Jet and I are looking forward to having more celebrations there in the future!”
