“I recently visited to get a USDA health certificate for air travel for my puppy, and I couldn't be happier with the care that we got. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Raquel and Dr. Nicholas treated Koda like he was their own baby to the point that he was given them kisses despite him usually being a little scared of the vet. Even though I live a little far away from this clinic, the trip is definitely worth it. Great service for a very reasonable price for NYC standards.”
“Dr. Pernice is awesome. He saw Remmie on a rush basis, and even though he squeezed him in, he took the time to be as thorough and professional as always. The entire staff is always helpful and courteous.

“I have taken 2 cats' there. When my 1st was sick and eventually had to be put down, Dr. Max and the staff were wonderful. Helping me figure out what was wrong and explaining things to me as far as maybe putting her down. They took my second cat no problem and were just as great with treating her. She has anxiety and a heart murmur and again Dr. Max was wonderful with her. When I was getting ready to move out of the state I asked a lot of questions about how to travel with her, medication, etc... They are a wonderful place and I recommend anyone take their pets there.

“They took in my new adopted cat last minute after noticing he kept vomiting every day. Checking in was very easy with simple paperwork. The didn’t take long to see my cat and the vet took her time figuring out the issue by asking many questions. After the examination, she gave me affordable options before doing expensive treatments. After choosing the affordable option, it didn’t take very long to receive the prescribed food. Now it’s been a couple of months since the visit. My cat is now in a much healthier weight and no longer vomits every day. I am very pleased with my experience.
Other things to be aware of: it is a very busy clinic. The front desk lady is handling calls, check ins, and payments at the same time.”

“Lola has gone twice to Bond Vet-Cobble Hill. There are no words to describe how the doctors make my husband and I feel. Dr. Jones, and Dr. Mackey, are extremely kind and compassionate doctors. They listen to your concerns and provide options for your fur baby. We take a 45 minute car ride just to continue to visit to this establishment. I sincerely love them.”

“My cat had injured her hind leg on a jump and could barely walk. I called Dr Appel as his location is 24 hours and he had me bring her right in. He knew immediately what the problem was and scheduled her operation for next day. He also ran her bloodwork to ensure nothing else was wrong which I appreciated. This is one of the only vets that I've been to that I can confidently say knows what he's talking about, is kind, and genuinely loves animals. You may wait a little longer because he does get busy but you'll have peace of mind that he'll let you know what's going on and give you your honest options. He was also straight forward about cost and considerate. I would highly recommend him if you're in need of pet care or emergency pet care.”

“I cannot say enough about how great this whole office is. For the first time in 16 years we needed to take our cat to a vet and we were so lucky to find this office. Everyone was superb. They handled a very difficult situation with tremendous sensitivity right up to the end. A week later we received a beautiful card of condolence from everyone there. “My little girl Siona has been treated by them for the past 6 years she was near death when we took her back for a visit the staff was so concerned and was very consoling they did an emergency surgery on my baby she lived another 4 years now at he age of 16 today February 14th 2026 at 7:52 Am she crossed the rainbow bridge and she will be making her last visit to the vet for her final arrangements. “I first brought my pet here in August 2019 for an emergency (CCL) when our regular vet was closed. I was so impressed with the quality of care, Vinegar Hill became our primary vet and we haven't looked back. I was initially impressed by the cleanliness and the relative spaciousness of the Dumbo location compared to our former Williamsburg based vet clinic when we walked/hobbled in. I was next struck by the kindness, patience and good humor of the entire staff. Then, when we met the doctor, I felt we were in very good hands. Then and since, I feel like all the veterinarians genuinely care about my pet. I feel secure in all of the doctor's knowledge, especially because they are frank about what they do know, and are ready and willing look further into matters, do some research, communicate what they find, and we further discuss options based on both their findings and their experience. I appreciate this *so* much. I feel like we are in a collaborative conversation regarding what is best for my pet's health and well-being. I have often felt comforted by the frank, kind, and honest candor of the veterinarians while my pet and I have faced the trials and tribulations of a very sweet, but apparently high-maintenance Brooklyn dog! Case in point: recently, my pet insurance company refused to cover two quite expensive invoices of a batch of tests, procedures, and medications that the pet insurance company had covered in the past, citing a pre-existing condition this time around (?!). I was quite dismayed. I reached out to the attending veterinarian, and she really went to bat for me. She wrote to the pet insurance company on my behalf. I also later learned she spent a considerable amount of time on the phone dealing with the pet insurance company. I was sorry to hear that it was time consuming for the doctor & staff, yet I was truly touched by the commitment and genuinely grateful the doctor took the time to attend to the issue on my behalf. Long story short, the pet insurance company eventually honored the claims! Hallelujah!
Over the years my pet and I have pretty much met and been attended to by all the doctors on staff (have I mentioned high maintenance ? ;) The level of commitment, care, knowledge, and dedication of all of the doctors and staff is top notch, in my book. Both my pet and I enjoy our visits to Vinegar Hill. Well, my pet enjoys it more once it's over. I feel quite supported by Vinegar Hill as the steward of my pet, trying my best to give my pet the pampered princess life she deserves, and she pretty much has that. Thanks in no small part to the amazing staff at Vinegar Hill. Thank you, Vinegar Hill!”

“Dr. Coletti, Taylor, and the entire team are amazing. Recently switched to PAWSitive from a franchise vet and it’s been the best thing for our two pups. The team is so patient and caring. We were beyond worried when our oldest, a rugged, noisy, mostly invincible terrier mix came down with a nasty stomach thing. Dr. Coletti was able to diagnose him as having some intestinal irritation and just needing some meds and probiotics and sn injection of fluids. By the evening following the appointment he was mostly back to being his troublemaker self. PAWSitive also went out of their way to fit us in first thing in the AM the day after I called.
