“Nichols Supermarket feels like stepping into a grocery store from another era — in the best possible way. It’s the kind of place that makes you wonder if this is what grocery shopping felt like before everyone became allergic to eye contact and self-checkout machines. The cashiers are ridiculously friendly. Not fake corporate “have a nice day” friendly either — genuinely helpful people who ask if you need anything and will still carry your groceries to your car like it’s 1972 and customer service actually existed. Their bread selection is legendary, but you better get there early because the fresh stuff disappears fast for good reason. Easily some of the best bread around. The seafood and meat are always fresh too. Nichols somehow manages to feel old school without feeling outdated, and I absolutely love it.”
