“We couldn't be more grateful to peace4paws for first saving our puppy (and the rest of his litter) from being euthanized and for also allowing us to make him a part of our home. The care and attention they give to all the animals in their care is exceptional. Our hearts are filled with such love as our family is now complete.”
“My husband passed away last year. A friend who had just joined The Ridgewood Woman’s Club encouraged me to go to a RWC lunch/ meeting to see if I might like to join also… which I did. This group of special, intelligent and caring women were so welcoming to me. I then joined and have not regretted it!
The Ridgewood Woman's Club is an exceptional woman’s club with a fabulous President, Pamela Swords , who gives this club her heart and soul! She is truly a gift for this club and its members! Lastly, but most importantly, The Ridgewood Woman’s Club does so many wonderful and charitable things but also leaving time for the members to do some fun activities together also!”
“Went on two Friday walks this year. Had Mary as a guide both times. Her knowledge of the birds, bird calls and plant life was extensive. It’s a beautiful natural area and the building has just been renovated. They were planning a special Saturday on monarch butterflies when I visited. Especially enjoyed seeing northern flickers, crows and chipping sparrows and learning more about the plants and trees.”
“The salvation and the workers kept me from starving from non nutritious food at the place I’m staying….. social services doesn’t help people with disabilities and the need for proper housing! I’m looking forward to being a part of this wonderful team to help people who need it and not be abused. What an incredible contribution and community help where nobody else will ever help you”
“I have been wanting to visit this thrift store.....and WOW! It's a small train depot...very quaint and the prices are extremely reasonable for name brands. Proceeds go to the local schools. Let's assist them in their humble goal! Cannot wait to go back!!!”

“Beautiful Sisters who dedicate their lives for young people. They are always welcoming and kind. They have Mass at their house each day but it's best to call ahead for the time.”
“The Closter Nature Center is a nice little escape from the busyness of town. It’s quiet and peaceful, and I love that it gives you a chance to slow down and just be outside.
That said, the trails could use a bit more care. Some areas felt uneven and overgrown, so be ready for that if you’re bringing kids or anyone who isn’t super steady on their feet. Nothing unsafe, just not as well maintained as I expected.
The center itself feels welcoming and low-key, and the staff were friendly. It’s not a big place, more of a quick nature walk than a day-long outing but it’s still worth a visit if you’re nearby and want some fresh air.”
“Ever Everfund was a very trustworthy and helpful plan for my mom who needed financial assistance. They were consistent and very good at responding to all of my inquiries. I felt safe with them. I would definitely recommend them.”
“This afternoon we had a nice walk in the neighborhood and found this lovely shop!!! I bought some accessories and a cute cup. Ladies there are also very lovely and helpful! Will definitely visit it again if I have the chance :)”

“As a medical transportation driver, I’m constantly going in and out of healthcare facilities across North Jersey. I see how front desks operate every single day, and I can honestly say that Amelia Maffei, Susan Bazoqa, and Jacalyn O’Brien are exceptional.
They are professional, organized, and incredibly welcoming. No matter how busy it gets, they stay calm, respectful, and attentive. They treat patients, families, and transportation staff with kindness and dignity. That kind of consistency is rare.
What stands out most is their attitude. They don’t just “do their job” — they create a warm and positive atmosphere from the moment you walk in. For patients who may already be stressed or not feeling well, that first interaction truly matters.
Christian Health is fortunate to have Amelia, Susan, and Jacalyn representing the front desk. They make a real difference every single day.
Thank you very much for everything you do to help lady's!”
“Almost each day there are new & interesting items to choose from. There is much to look at, take your time walking through the store, you may miss a gem. Friendly & helpful staff. Worth the trip.”

“I moved from Brazil in August and looked for places where I could be welcomed and make some connections. Through the Church I found Carenet, a very welcoming place with empathetic and loving professionals. I was attended by Mary Beth, we created a great relationship, she was my companion during the pregnancy, I always left our meetings very connected to God and with my faith strengthened. In addition, they helped me with the items I needed for my baby.
I am grateful to God for having guided me to this place that was essential for my well-being during my pregnancy.”
“The care provided by the DSPs at Hamaspik of Rockland is truly exceptional. Every gesture, every word, and every moment reflects deep compassion and genuine dedication. They don’t just assist — they care, in the truest sense of the word.
Their patience and gentle understanding bring comfort and dignity to those they support. It’s beautiful to see how much heart they put into every detail, making sure each person feels valued and cared for. Hamaspik of Rockland’s DSPs are a shining example of what real, loving care should look like.”
“My new go to gym it's just over the Cuomo Bridge and Nyack it is a full facility even though it has stairs it works my cardiovascular system climbing up for sets of stairs to get to the top where the treadmills are in a private room overlooking the gym there is also a rather large private room off the bicycle room on the top floor where there are dancer bars a large window and mats that you can stretch out on or do your exercises they also have a full size pool sauna a hot tub with a good schedule when you can use it a lady's locker room a room filled with equipment and weights and I'm just thrilled they accepted my health care insurance! “The last time I visited this store, about 2 years ago it was a mess, and I promise myself I'd never come back. But today i noticed a sign that said New management, so I decided to give it another try. and WOW... what a transformation! Clean, full, organized.... I wasn't planning to spend money, and I did... I see what you did Goodwill...”

“I am grateful to live at The Fellowship Community. I knew that Fellowship members were encouraged to provide service to one another, and the idea appealed to me. One afternoon per week, I happily provide companionship care to our most fragile members who reside on our Care Unit.
As an independent member, I live in a lovely, two bedroom apartment in a lodge that has 10 apartments, and a spacious Common Room where we gather, for example: potlucks, films on our large screen T.V. and a meditation group.
A few things that I particularly enjoy are the pottery workshop, my raised garden bed in a community garden, and easy access to the Duryea Farm. We’ve recently acquired 3 dwarf goats, and I delight in visiting them to watch their antics.
I’ve observed that the people who are drawn to either work or live here appear to be highly conscious, intelligent and kind individuals. We recently celebrated Thanksgiving, and there was no separation between members, the staff we consider “co-workers” (many of whom choose to also live on our 80+ acre campus), and administration. Fellowship is truly a community.”
