“By far one of the best DG stores I’ve been to! All of the employees are very nice and helpful, I’ve never had an issue. I travel 40 minutes to come to this store and have been a little over 10 times now and it’s always well worth my trip! My most recent trip I bought quite a bit of items and had to wait a while for the register to catch up to finish the transaction, I’m 9 months pregnant and one of the employees got me a chair to sit in which was so nice of him! I can’t for the life of me remember his name or the other workers names but once I do I’ll try to edit my review because they all deserve recognition! Highly recommend, they also just remodeled their store so even better! I will be coming back in the next couple of days to shop again ?”
“Wow! What a great stumble-upon coming down to Caledonia. We stopped here spontaneously from a Hilton to Caledonia RV drop off errand. We thought it was just ice cream and discovered this place is so much more! It has such aa great old general store appeal. I love the antique inside, yet still modern and full of fun and necessities that all ages can enjoy. Owners are very polite and genuine. We will come back!”
“I like Aldi's. I think their products are very good. They need a variety of fish instead of salmon. Not a fan. Prices are high where ever u go, but Aldi's does provide good food and they are lower priced than any other store

“Love the selection of cheese and meats. The premium ice-cream is a special treat, best ice-cream ever.
Update: June 2025. The floor /shelving plan has changed for the better. It is so much easier to see the merchandise , I love Aldi where you can make a meal out of reasonably priced groceries”

“Shawn at deli was very helpful and knowledgeable about the meats in his department to make I got the right meats for friends and family.The deli crew is a great help each time I’m there and always have a good personality to them as well.”
“I give five stars because I love this store. But very often there is no coffee available. Is that really acceptable for a store of this class? Can’t you find someone to keep an eye on the coffee station? Please fix this problem. Next time, my rating will be lower.”
“I came to this location a year ago and had a creeper customer follow me around so I really had not felt safe coming back until recently. I attempted to go to the Hilton location but somehow I missed they closed. So I opted for this location since it's the closest near by. I am glad I did.The employees were very welcoming from the moment I walked in to the time I walked out. It's a clean dollar general with a little bit of everything inside. It is very on par for the locations down in tennesee where the company is headquartered. This time there wasn't any creeper customers so I will definitely be back”
“Was out this way for one of my kids games. Needed to pick up some quick items and found this little store.
It was well stocked and clean but Barely anybody in there. Unfortunately I would never be able to shop there again with how high the prices are. I wish I could support local businesses but it is just unaffordable to do so. Prices for things were double that of WalMart with smaller sizes. Which probably explains why I was pretty much the only one in the store. $6 for a bag of shredded cheese that was a smaller size than one that cost $2.98 at walmart.
It is worth stopping in if you can afford to. Their produce was really nice and fresh as well and meat was definitely a better quality then that of a chain store.. Older lady at checkout was not so friendly though, lol.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt a normal family on a normal income would be able to grocery shop here on a regular basis. However, it doesn't look like these people have too many other options in this area, which is probably why they are still in business. There was nothing for miles when I did a Google search to find a grocery store aside from a dollar general.”
“Store is Ok, seen one DG you have seen them all, some are Better kept that outhers,. Caledonia always clean. Only thing on the Down side is the Parking lot , who ever designed the stripes must think everyone had a smart car. or a mini car. In the country the pickup rules,. The spots are way to Small”
“I absolutely love this store. It's got a small hometown feel to it. They have the best store made roast beef at their deli!! You can get some awesome bargains here. I stock up when they have items marked down. The cashier's are always friendly!”

“Everything is neat and for the most par well stocked. The employees are nice and helpful. Recently I went there and became ill while checking out. I ask Alex for a scooter and he got me one, then Emily came in with one. They not only finished my check out, Emily followed me to my car, loaded my groceries and made certain I was ok. This is the best Walmart ever!”

“I wanted to take a min to thank all the lovely ladies at DG and give this store the recognition it deserves. They always go out of their way to help. The manager and assistant manager work so hard and it can be a tough thing to do, it is a very high traffic store that is smaller and services a few areas. The cashiers are kind and particularly lovely they care about their customers and community. Awesome crew!!!”

“Convenient small-town grocery. I come here regularly and this store became a favorite of mine specifically due to their craft beer selection. Fantastic craft beer choices that rival a much larger store and used to always be able to find great sales on craft beer, although I have been disappointed in the beer sales the last couple of visits. I hope the change in ownership does not affect the craft beer selection and the discount beer options. Still a great little grocery store, love popping in here when I need a handful of items and don't want to deal with the chaos of Walmart or any other large store. Also love a locally owned business.”
