“Many qipao stores have closed since the pandemic, thank goodness Sylvia's is still around. I came up from DC to find a wedding qipao after a frustrating day of not being allowed to try on garments in Manhattan Chinatown. Despite only making an appointment 2 hours prior, Sylvia allowed me to try on as many as I wanted and was super helpful in helping me decide among options. I found brocade styles that I've never seen at other stores or online. I came back several months later (timed with a work trip) to try on what I had ordered -- it had to be shipped from China. I thought I would have to return for a third trip to pick up my tailoring but no, Sylvia made adjustments while I got lunch in Flushing and I took it home that afternoon! I could not recommend making the trek out here more.”

“Very quiet store. Shirts and dresses are organized by color, which makes browsing easy. Selection of men’s and women’s vintage clothes at very reasonable prices; got a leather jacket for $90 and a sleeveless shirt for $22. Do remember to check the condition of the items though; the store is not well lit, and I didn’t notice the items I got were each missing one button until I got home. Overall pleasant shopping experience, definitely recommend.”

The clearance rack is rough because the sizes are everywhere and it includes all sizes from infact to adult. Other old navy's have it separated in their department (kids, male, female).It is packed though so there is opportunity to get a deal if you have time to look.They have a line most of the time but I think it moves quickly. I come to this one for convenience of location. However if I am looking for a specific product I go to Flushing, where they usually have an item.Sales are always visible and easy to see, and there has not been one employee who didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I've been coming to this location the last 2 years.”

“Interesting experience. Went two days before Christmas in hopes of finding some designer sale items. Did find a few and Burberry Bruce who is an employee smiled and answered questions. Came back later to purchase and didn’t see him however I saw Gabriel. He helped me with the purchase of a Burberry t shirt and a weekender bag. He was pleasant enough though seemed bored and as though maybe I was disturbing him when I came up to counter. I couldn’t decide for sure on the bag as it was $851 on sale. He sort of gave me look and reminded me this was an awesome price. He was right and I purchased it. He was never rude just seemed sort of put out. Love the shoe department since I have big feet and I tried on four sample shoes and not once was offered help. It was awkward. Has three floors and it is dedicated to men. Different vibe from the woman’s store across the street for sure! Got the t shirt below for my dad with extra 25 percent off so good deal though too expensive.”

I love how this location is super diverse and inclusive (gender, race, demographic, body type, outfits, styles, etc), the teachers and staff are kind, calm, knowledgeable and hands-on helpful, the studio is spacious, plenty of class/time availability, and there's never any aggressive sales tactics.I was a little skeptical after subpar experiences at Flatiron (lack of diversity, aggressive sales tactics at every visit and texting me multiple times a day at all hours, and rude treatment from the owner when I didn't succumb to sales pressures). I'm relieved I made the switch and highly recommend this location!”
