“If you’re looking for a place you can sit down and peruse books, set up and get some work done, people watch, have a coffee and small bites, open seven days, then this is the spot. I’ve “gotten lost” for hours here. Helpful staff. Love any bookstore that has seating and a cafe and vice versa. The two just go together.”

“We needed to order a large quantity of books on fairly short notice for a workshop we were putting together in Albany. Everyone at the Book House was friendly, responsive, and personable! They were also efficient and were able to get our last minute requests fulfilled with no problems. They are lovely and we highly recommend getting your books here!”
“Overall this seemed like a very cool hobby/game shop with a very active local community. I walked in and the place was buzzing with players engaging in what I think was a Magic: The Gathering tournament. I originally walked in to see if I could find some terrain for Warhammer 40k. They had a couple items but not what I was looking for. However, I was surprised by the amount of cool items they had in the back area like paperback science fiction novels, old comics and magazines, as well as collectibles and action figures. Will definitely visit again.”
“Great book store location inside a corner brick factory in Troy. This book purveyor was packed with every book, magazine, seats, pens & paper, journals, flyers, post cards and note pads you can imagine. The sections are organized by nature, poetry, marriage, history etc. This place is very bright and there are soft seats to sit in by the front windows. Needs a few more staff on site. Review: 5”

“I really love this place. They have gifts of all kinds. Stuff you wouldn't find anywhere else. Of course books are there too. I recommend you check it out. I found a few Christmas gifts and am going back to pick up some more”
