Barney's Hardware is a great neighborhood place and a relic of a past era. It is the complete opposite of big warehouse stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s, and is much more convenient. They usually have what you're looking for, including solutions and parts for older homes. The staff is consistently amazing, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. They are a good source of advice. Prices are great. It is always great to avoid the big stores and come here instead. Looking around in the front of the store is fun, with unusual items like cast iron pans and canning supplies. It is a real hardware store.
Came in for a repair on my impact gun, the gentlemen helping me looked at it for two seconds, showed me what I was doing wrong, and gave it back to me without any charge whatsoever. Very honest, pleasant service!

Helpful young man greeted me listening to my dilemma. Spoke to another employee about whether it was in stock. It was not he thanked me for coming in and hoped to see me again. Pleasant atmosphere.

Too bad there aren't more great places like Barney's Hardware where they offer everything you need for the home with GREAT service/repairs/maintenance and a smile.
