Animal Dental Specialists of Upstate New York
6867 E Genesee St, FayettevilleI am so happy my local vet recommended ADSUNY. My little chihuahua mix had a bad dental infection and needed extractions - one in particular (the big lower snaggle tooth) very difficult. The care and concern for comfort for Bailee (and mom) was beyond. She did so well after surgery. A full day plus when she wouldn’t eat, but once she did she perked right up and has not even needed any pain meds. During and post surgery the medical staff were in constant contact by text. Very convenient. Of course it’s a bit pricey, but not more than expected. We had a 5 hour round trip (twice - once for consultation and then surgery) and an overnight for us (coming from Albany area) but I’d do it again. Thank yous all around to Dr. Tetlow and staff.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Freedom of Espresso
128 W Genesee St, FayettevilleI came super early on a Sunday morning. There was plenty of parking, though the lot is slightly slopey and a little wonky. Nice enough ambiance inside, and the staff was very sweet. Pretty roomy, and a good gathering place. I was eyeing the PBJ latte special that was on the board, but I went with a classic iced americano with a bit of oat milk. The shot was pulled well and the coffee was good. The shop is a few doors down from the Towne Center shopping plaza, and there is a quite lovely waterfront trail you can amble along with your coffee if you fancy a stroll.

Salt City Coffee
511 E Genesee St, FayettevilleWhen they first switched ownership from Soleil cafe (where I was a regular), I was SO disappointed in the quality of the lattes. I ordered 2 that were undrinkable. Because of that experience I did not visit for a couple years. At my work, there were draft oat milk lattes from salt city coffee for staff appreciation which were phenomenal. I even ordered a gallon for my daughter's birthday party(for the parents). Recently, I have ordered 2 lattes that were good. There is a discount if you bring a reusable mug. There are several tables, which are close together. As long as there aren't many other customers it's comfortable. The bathroom could use a new floor and I would appreciate a changing table - I ended up taking my baby to the car to change him.
