I was ashamed to even bring my dog in, but Kara was very kind about it and didnt make me feel bad at all. Even showing up 20 min late for my appointment, I filled in new customer paperwork, got the claws clipped, paid, and left within 10 min. My dog didnt yelp or whine even once, which I've never seen before during. Amazing!

They don't necessarily take walk ins but they were able to squeeze me in same day appointment. Dr.Hansen was extremely knowledgeable and caring to my senior cat and did not suggest any unnecessary or costly options. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a non-corporate,unselfish, loving vet for their pets.

I volunteer with a local cat rescue group and have utilized SANS services many times and they always come through.
A spay and neuter service also included vaccinations and nail trimming. You can't find an all inclusive spay or neuter for less anywhere in Syracuse.

We had an appointment scheduled tomorrow, but we had a problem to where I needed her to be seen ASAP or go to the emergency vet. They told me to come in right away, and they helped us out within the hour and a reasonable price. I have a dog who is paralyzed and now she only has 3 toes on one foot, and they've been so supportive of us the entire journey.

They took the time to lay out all my options and worked with me to figure out the most realistic plan for her. I never felt rushed or judged while I was there.
I really want to mention Dr. Markham, Bridget (the vet tech), and Ann at the front desk. Bridget was incredible with Gamora. Hearing her talk to Gamora while bringing her back and clearly explaining everything to me when the exam/treatment was done meant a lot on such a rough few days. Dr. Markham was a straight shooter who clearly cared about doing what was best for her. And Ann was a lifesaver at the front desk. She spent extra time working things out for me behind the scenes so I didn't have to stress about the logistics and could just focus on my cat. I’m really grateful I brought Gamora here, especially on such a difficult day.

Leah helped us learn to train our pups, and they took to her patient and encouraging guidance right away. Her train and play program was very much worth the price and we felt was the best option for our pups as they had fun while training and learned a lot too. We then transitioned into Leah's dog walking services . Leah has been walking our pups for a little over 9 years! Jesse and Izzy can't WAIT for Leah to get here because she is so good to them and they love their walks with her. Well, Izzy loves the treats, but that's good too! I love the time I have to work while they are being cared for and getting their sniffs in too. Highly recommend for great prices, solid training and a kind and encouraging trainer!

Like most AKC affiliated dog clubs, they are a volunteer organization that offer training classes in dog obedience, agility and a host of other dog activities. They also host agility competitions and other dog events throughout the year both at their own facility as other locations. I have competed at their events for years and always have a great time and experience.

Very happy with the care he's receiving there and will continue to do 1/2 and future full day sessions for socialization and learning dog mannerisms.
Additionally theyve left me with a level of comfort that I'd board him there when necessary in the future and do grooming. The owner/manager (I think that's who I was spesking) has an excellent level of calm, professionalism and expertise that provided me a high level of ease that my dog is in great hands while there.

On my first visit, I ordered an iced latte with peach syrup and cold foam. My boyfriend ordered the iced apple crisp latte (I think that was the name of the seasonal special), which was quite shocking because he tells me he HATES coffee. News flash: He doesn't, or just realllllly liked this specific latte. I can't exactly recall what syrup combination I got in my hot latte the next day. It was also great. I'm sick of coffee shops being lazy and using Torani or Monin syrups. Clerk's makes their own, and they are delicious! I also thought the prices were fair. There was a cute little nook by the window and the space is adorable. Service was efficient and the baristas were helpful, providing great recommendations. Can't wait to make another visit soon!

Every time we've gone it's felt like going over to your aunt and uncles house for a meal (maybe that's because it's nestled in a cool older house in a bustling Syracuse neighborhood). The menu is seasonal and changes regularly depending on what the chef has on hand. You can always expect a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, pasta, salads, and fresh seafood. It's delicious elevated American fare. The servers are very kind and attentive, they're patient every time I inform them of my gluten sensitivity and ask questions. I like this spot because you really can't go wrong with one of their interesting salads! I loved the grilled romaine, zucchini, and fennel salad with chicken. I also really enjoyed the roast chicken from a different dinner. My partner likes their classic burger enough to get it both times we visited. Their chocolate torte is a great gluten free dessert. Rileys is a Syracuse staple worth enjoying with family and friends.

The only thing I wish could be different is the salad portion to be larger. I probably could’ve asked for extra salad but that’s just me nitpicking. Way better to go in person than to DoorDash I’ve realized which I’ve found to be pretty common with most food establishments. Imo seems to be the most “authentic” of the classic nyc bowls from other places in Syracuse.

1200 E Genesee St, SyracuseI bought some Ethiopian Banko Gotiti from the Peaks stand at the market a few weeks ago. I’m an espresso nerd and travel all over the east coast for work. In my travels I try coffee and buy beans to perfect a perfect single origin pull from my Bambino Plus at home. These beans are among the best I’ve found and produced one of if not the best espresso I’ve ever pulled.
I wanted to tell them this at the market yesterday but there was a long line. I think the word is out that Peaks is among the best coffee around.

They make their bagels fresh and you can actually watch them baking in the brick oven as you walk in to order. They have tons of options to choose from and different combinations of egg, cheese, and meats so you can pretty much build whatever you're craving. This place can get really busy, especially on the weekends around 9:30 ish and later, but honestly they are worth the wait every single time. I always get the Hot Honey Egg. It has scallion cream cheese, bacon, eggs, hot honey (ofc), and a slice of cheese. I am pretty sure it is sharp cheddar and the combination is amazing. It is sweet, a little spicy, and the scallion cream cheese balances everything out so well. I especially love coming here in the spring and summer when the weather is nice because they usually open the front window and set up outdoor seating. It just adds to the whole experience.
