Kathleen Congel, DVM
5092 Velasko Rd, SyracuseSimply put, Stack Vet hospital is the most efficient, knowledgeable and caring veterinary hospital we have ever experienced. I only wish we lived closer and didn’t have to use them for only surgical reasons as we are an hour and a half away. Dr. Snackard was exceptional in her care of our Libby. Couldn’t have asked for more! We give our highest recommendation!

Mattydale Animal Hospital
2703 Brewerton Rd, SyracuseMy dog has been with this practice for a while. We had an appointment scheduled tomorrow, but we had a problem to where I needed her to be seen ASAP or go to the emergency vet. They told me to come in right away, and they helped us out within the hour and a reasonable price. I have a dog who is paralyzed and now she only has 3 toes on one foot, and they've been so supportive of us the entire journey.

Shop City Animal Hospital
105 Shop City Plaza, SyracuseDr. Danboise is such a kind, caring veterinarian and really takes the time to make sure my pets are healthy. She answers all of my questions during visits and her bedside manner is amazing. One of my cats can be aggressive during vet visits and Dr. Danboise and the vet techs always handle her with kindness and gentleness. They make a stressful situation just a little calmer for me and my pet. The whole team at this office is amazing, including the hospital manager, front desk staff, and the vet techs. Whenever I call, I am never rushed on the phone and the person that answers makes sure I get the help I called for. Overall I would highly recommend this practice!

VCA Fairmount Animal Hospital
4101 W Genesee St, SyracuseI've trusted VCA Fairmount Animal Hospital with my pups for over 15 years. Dr. Guest has been their primary and has cared for them from puppyhood throughout all stages of their lives. She has earned my utmost trust and respect. She's devoted, honest, thorough, and realistic when giving advice. She's helped guide us through difficult situations, including Odin's laryngeal paralysis and surgery as well as managing Ben's EPI.
I truly appreciate the care Dr. Guest and the team at VCA Fairmount have provided over the years, and I highly recommend them.

Syracuse Obedience Training Club
6392 Deere Rd, SyracuseThe Club is a great group of folks with an excellent and well-run facility. Like most AKC affiliated dog clubs, they are a volunteer organization that offer training classes in dog obedience, agility and a host of other dog activities. They also host agility competitions and other dog events throughout the year both at their own facility as other locations. I have competed at their events for years and always have a great time and experience.

Shear Magic Dog Spa & Resort
519 Horan Rd, SyracuseIve taken my 5 month old puppy here 2x for half day daycare sessions. He has come away exhausted and generally better behaved. Very happy with the care he's receiving there and will continue to do 1/2 and future full day sessions for socialization and learning dog mannerisms.
Additionally theyve left me with a level of comfort that I'd board him there when necessary in the future and do grooming. The owner/manager (I think that's who I was spesking) has an excellent level of calm, professionalism and expertise that provided me a high level of ease that my dog is in great hands while there.

Across The Hall Café
258 E Water St, SyracuseVery very solid spot. I got the Hell’s Kitchen (buffalo chicken) wrap w/ tots and it was delicious. The buffalo sauce on the chicken was objectively above average-tasting, and the banana peppers were a really nice touch. The tots were all crispy and consistent.
Service was awesome and the atmosphere is really cool- you’re in an old train car!

Riley's
312 Park St, SyracuseRiley's embodiments the cozy dining experience. Every time we've gone it's felt like going over to your aunt and uncles house for a meal (maybe that's because it's nestled in a cool older house in a bustling Syracuse neighborhood). The menu is seasonal and changes regularly depending on what the chef has on hand. You can always expect a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, pasta, salads, and fresh seafood. It's delicious elevated American fare. The servers are very kind and attentive, they're patient every time I inform them of my gluten sensitivity and ask questions. I like this spot because you really can't go wrong with one of their interesting salads! I loved the grilled romaine, zucchini, and fennel salad with chicken. I also really enjoyed the roast chicken from a different dinner. My partner likes their classic burger enough to get it both times we visited. Their chocolate torte is a great gluten free dessert. Rileys is a Syracuse staple worth enjoying with family and friends.

Apizza Regionale
260 Genesee St, SyracuseRecommended by hubby's co-worker who has been working here for the past year (Syracuse job). Pizza is hubby's weakness ?, but we love Italian food, therefore, we gave it a try.
The decorations and the atmosphere is wonderful as an Italian restaurant. The brick oven stood out right as you enter the place and we did not have to wait long before we got a table.
Hubby and I shared the Antipasti Salad and the Garlic & Broccolini whole wheat pizza for this meal. The food got here very quickly and the quality is amazing!
The seasoning for both the salad and pizza are light yet full of flavor! We really enjoyed it!
We traveled to many cities including NYC & Jersey City, as well as our hometown Atlanta eating at various famous Italian establishments. This one is definitely on the top of the ranking in our book for the taste! ?
We highly recommend this place and will return again when we visit Syracuse, NY, either for work or possibly for leisure.... ?

CRACKED BEAN ROASTERY & CAFE
2384 James St, SyracuseCozy coffee shop in a nice location, good coffee and GREAT pastries.
The only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars is that I am frequently charged different amounts for the same coffee order, depending on the day. Sometimes it's a $6-7 latte, and sometimes it's $10+ for the same exact drink.

'Cuse Scoops Ice Cream
800 Nottingham Rd, SyracuseI had no idea there was an ice cream place here until today and it was such a pleasure to eat here! The ice cream tastes phenomenal and they have fun sundaes and shakes to try (s'more, unicorn etc). The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice, tables were clean. I will definitely be coming back!
I had 3 scoops of ice cream with the flavors of sugar cookie ice cream (it contained streaks of pink icing), strawberry, which I loved as it didn't have that fake strawberry flavor but had real chunks of strawberries in it which is my favorite, and cookie dough. All three flavors delivered. My friend ordered the s'mores sundae and it looked tasty. Give this place a try!

Peaks Coffee Co
1200 E Genesee St, SyracuseI bought some Ethiopian Banko Gotiti from the Peaks stand at the market a few weeks ago. I’m an espresso nerd and travel all over the east coast for work. In my travels I try coffee and buy beans to perfect a perfect single origin pull from my Bambino Plus at home. These beans are among the best I’ve found and produced one of if not the best espresso I’ve ever pulled.
I wanted to tell them this at the market yesterday but there was a long line. I think the word is out that Peaks is among the best coffee around.
