“This is a people centric bank Although the tellers change frequently the middle management and above is focused on the credit union members. That's what the customers of the bank are called. It seems people matter to this bank. Some things that I need they can't do, like foreign money transfers but they do 90% of what I need.”

“So I went into Fishkill branch on Tuesday afternoon to investigate why my landlord had me down for not paying my July rent. I was assisted by Nikko who has been my personal banker since I moved back to NY. It was a little busy and Nikko was multi tasking helping his teammates while also helping me. With each interruption he apologized to me. I told him it was fine. I provided the information that I knew to be accurate and he did his magic. After about 20 minutes he produced the document that showed my check was deposited on July 3. I couldn't be more satisfied. I love the vibe in that branch. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Within half an hour after I left Nikko sent me a Thank you e-mail like he always does. Fishkill should be the role model for good customer service. They do it every single day. Thank you”

“I don't have a single negative thing to say. After shopping around for a home mortgage, Trustco gave both the best rate and closing costs. I literally had another bank tell me over the phone they were not even going to waste there time competing with that rate. What I really like was that if I called, it was a local area code number (not an 800 number) that rang the phone on Lynn's desk. When you emailed, you email Lynn directly and she usually responded within the hour. She even came out of her office to say hi when we opened our checking account for the auto draft. It feels different/better when your emailing the person you meet at the bank the other day. They were all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and the online application interface is easy to use. Save yourself some time and effort, and just call Trustco for you mortgage.”
