“This is my go to lunch place when I can't think of anything else.The price is good and the portions are big.Even though it is in equinox (gym) you can just tell the people at the front desk that you are there to eat and they will let you in.I recommend $8 plate, where you can pick 3 differnet side dishes. I like the quinoa, turkey chilli, and the grilled vegetables.The smoothies are also amazing, but a bit pricey.”

“I had such a great experience here today. The gentleman who helped me was extremely kind and took his time explaining everything without ever making me feel rushed. I came in with pretty basic questions about how I could improve my dad’s old bike, and he gave me genuinely helpful advice about what was actually worth upgrading. I ended up getting new tires, and the entire process was incredibly easy and fast. The price was also very reasonable. What stood out the most was the customer service. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel comfortable, especially for someone who does not know a ton about bikes. I honestly could not recommend this place more. I left really happy with the experience and will absolutely be coming back whenever I need anything for my bike”

My favorite repair spot in the neighborhood. “I meant to post this review about a month ago, shortly after I bought my bike, but I’m not someone who leaves reviews all the time. As for the reviewer who complained about brake noise, just ride the bike. Some brakes just need to be broken in. The guys here were friendly and helpful. I told them what style of bike I wanted, and they showed me three similar options in my price range that fit me properly. They installed pedals and let me test ride all of them. Once I chose one, they made a few final adjustments, tightened everything up, and had me ready to go. A great bonus is that bikes purchased here come with free lifetime adjustments, which is definitely a nice perk.”

“[see edit on the development of the story below] Very good selection of high-end, high quality e-bikes and cargo bikes. People seem to know what they do and only carry good stuff. Of course comes with a price but that's pretty normal. If you buy from them, beware their inventory might be inaccurate. I bought a $4k bike there, I pulled the trigger on that because I was told the bike was in stock locally and I could get it assembled promptly, and, as a very demanded brand, the bike might not stay in stock long. 10 days after, looking forward to pick-up my bike who was supposed to only have to be assembled, I discover it's not there and still need to ship from the maker. Bottom line: wait three more weeks. I would have never pulled the trigger on that purchase that fast honestly... Who to blame? Officially, the inventory system isat fault. Doesn't matter much honestly, that's just not reliable regardless of where the mistake - be aware of that if you buy on stock info. What next? Well, I'd hope a commercial gesture as this is really a poor customer experience but mostly, I wait for my bike. [edit:] couple days after the bad news, someone from Propel called me to try to find solutions to solve my issue. Offering a discount or a loaner bike (which nobody initially thought about, even not me). I took them on the proposal of a loaner bike of course, as it's really what mattered to me: to be able to replace 1h of public transportation with my kid in 15' bike ride to go to school and then to work. Thanks guys! Updated my ranking, picking my loaner bike tomorrow.”

“I visited this bike shop on a Saturday morning. Their hours 10a-3p. The owner is a very nice man who helped with providing me with a stem cover for my bike wheel. I also bought a bottle of oil for my bike chain at reasonable price of $10. And mentioned I had a new bike pump I could not figure out how work it, so he had me bring it to him and he demonstrated how to properly attach it to my presta stem. So happy to have visited this shop. And he has quite a bit of inventory and accessories as well.”

“Just a FYI place opens slightly after 8 AM, like 8:20 or so but this is one of the only bike shops open in the area at that time — started the day off with a flat, really quick and efficient service once it opened, they had me back on the road in less than 10 minutes, super clutch, great value too, got an inner tube and tire changed for $45 — you can't get a deal like that in most of the city. Another FYI this place is cash/Zelle only!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give this place 15 stars, I would. I absolutely love Tony’s Bicycles and the owner. I’ve taken my bike here multiple times for everything — tune-ups, repairs, small fixes — and the experience is consistently excellent. Compared to the shops I used in Manhattan and Brooklyn (even the UES spots I thought would be “top tier”), Tony’s is faster, more reliable, and they use OEM parts when possible without needing to be asked. They’ll often fix little things for free, like straightening bent handlebars or replacing end caps, just because they care. What’s even better is you don’t always have to explain what’s wrong — they’ll often spot issues before they become problems. Last summer, Tony warned me that part of my chain was warped. Fast forward a year, my derailleur snapped — exactly what he warned could happen. They replaced it all and had me back on the road in no time. If you’re ever unhappy with something, just ask to speak to Tony directly. He genuinely wants to make things right. Also, keep in mind that not everyone there speaks English as a first language. What might sound blunt or rushed is a PROFESSIONAL trying to assure you they have everything under control in their best English. I’m honestly shocked to see any poor reviews. This is a local gem. I’ll keep coming back again and again.”

“The team at Spokesmen is TOP NOTCH, they helped me over almost a 2 month time frame trying to find parts for my build and were constantly working around the clock to find parts that simply didn’t even exist anymore and to the point where we were theorizing to get the parts CNC’d. In the end I Have a bike that I love dearly and will ride for years to come, I don’t care if spokesmen is Hours away from me, I would still make the journey to go to them than anybody else because of the amount of effort they put in for me. This is true love. Get your bike fixed or built at spokesmen.”
