“Great staff, decent mid level regional bank. Honestly it would be better if their Tech was more like the bigger banks. My current balance vs available balance rarely match. It’s a slow system… pending transactions are also finicky… otherwise they hold my money and if there ever is a problem its resolved fast and satisfactorily.”

“On April 29th my account was simultaneously hit with ten pre-authorization holds as a result of a company-wide glitch at GameStop. This led to an over draft fee and a lot of stress. I went to the nearest branch and was able to sit down with Breanna. She looked at what happened to my account and refunded the fee. All of this in under 10 minutes. Breanna was incredibly helpful, and this kind of service is why I have been a member of this Credit Union for over 12 years, and why I have encouraged multiple people to open accounts here. “For the most part they are good for your personal banking. Always have helped me in the past with issues. A couple tellers are a little moody but will see that anywhere. The mobile app is kind of bad, you have to learn some tricks to get it working to do certain actions. They recently updated the app and user interface (Oct 2024) which I was excited about, but while it does look more modern, it’s generally the same app with the same issues.”

“Seems like a great bank to me. All of the customers and the bank employees seem very friendly; almost too friendly. Anyway, compared other banks around the area, this one is a home run. When I asked to cancel overdraft charges, they actually cancelled overdraft charges (crazy right!?), and when I make a withdrawal, the bank tellers don't give me an attitude (wow, also insane!). These are huge wins compared to my other experiences in the area. The only problem I have is that the Bank ATM seldomly works, which should only ever be an issue on the weekends for most people.”

“Google is an excellent source for any and all information. And it even takes you above and beyond what your looking for. Couldn't live without it. NBT BANK is a number 1 bank. My husband and I have a business savings account, a business checking account, and a personal checking and savings account. We did have a mortgage but that is paid off and had car loans and they are paid off.”

“I opened an account here this week online. I had to go in to do a first time withdrawal as the debit card hasn't come in yet. I had the most nicest and professional bank teller. I normally don't ever go inside the banks, but this was a nice benefit at the Johnstown branch for needing to go in on this occurrence.”
