“It's a clean & bright store, veggies & fruits fresh and we'll displayed. Meat or are up all over, but 10 for Oscar Mayer bacon was a bit much. They have Boar's head colds ,so we'll be back at some point. There's also lots people to ask where thing are.”

“I just tried Charlie's Butchers for the first time and had their home made chicken meatballs and Chipotle chicken burgers and I have to say they we're the best I've had in a long time. I highly recommend stopping in and trying there homemade chicken burgers and meatballs along with there fresh A1 meats. The owner Denise is a pleasure dealing with and you can tell everything is made with love. I will definitely be going back to purchase and try other items when I'm in the oceanside area. Thanks so much and you are definitely my new go to meat market for some delicious food. ?”

“I've been going to Kollner's for a few years now. I tried them out on a whim when my old butcher let me down a few times. Super glad I did. I've been consistently impressed with the quality of the meats. The meat is always fresh, and you can have it cut to order.
When I need steaks for my family, we each have different tastes in steak. I can get a thicker steak for myself and my son, and then order a thinner cut steak for my wife. Everybody is happy. The steaks are fresh, juicy, well-marbled and delicious. The guys helping me are always happy to cut the meat exactly as I ask for it.
On occasion, we'll get some St. Louis ribs, they are meaty, and the end results is super tender—fall off the bone good. All-around great quality.
When, i've needed chicken, they'll fabricate a whole chicken right there in front of me. Or if I've needed thin cut breast, again, they slice it up right there in front of me.
Beef, pork, chicken, lamb—I've never gone wrong with any product at Kollner's.
The guys behind the counter have always been helpful with suggestions for how much to order or answering questions about the meat.
The prices are really fair, especially considering the quality of the products. I am happy to support this local, family-owned business and highly recommend them.”

“I had an outstanding experience with Meat Maven in Roslyn. We needed to transport meat for over 20 hours by air and wanted it to remain frozen upon arrival. Yoel, the store manager, and Nate, one of the employees, went above and beyond to make this possible. They helped us choose the right cuts of meat, vacuum-sealed each package, deep-froze everything in their freezer for several days before pickup, carefully packed our cooler, and even sealed it with plastic wrap to maximize insulation. Thanks to their care and expertise, our meat arrived at our destination still rock solid and ready for the freezer. I am so grateful for their exceptional service, professionalism, and kindness. Highly recommend!”

“My 1st time at the store & restaurant. Both are clean & tidy & Halal. Halal meat is always fresh, they cannot sell meat from a sick animal as they carry the burden of sins. Great customer service. The food is delicious, not spicy hot. I had ginger chicken & okra.The butcher cut the meat as I asked. This will be my go to butcher & takeout once I'm at the butcher. Give it a try.”

“Great assortment of meats and cheese. They also have a dry aged steak selection that's cut to your specifications, however, the butcher leaves at 5pm. I asked the deli department and they said that I could call it in and have the steaks cut and waiting for me before closing.”
“This past Fri., I went to get some staples for a Memorial Day bbq. Lots of choices of various cuts of meats as well as different kabobs. All of the food looked fresh, and delicious. The store was clean and empty at 11:30am so you were able to get a full view of all of their offerings. Grilled our items and they all were delicious. They were tender and seasoned perfectly. However, the guy that helped us looked beyond miserable. We had a small quick order so maybe a smile, thank you or an appreciation for our business would have been nice. 5 stars for the food, and a generous 3 for the customer service.”

“I came here for fresh meats based off a recommendation from a friend and now I can't live without this place! I ordered a pork shoulder (pernil) and asked them to season it. They season it soooo well that my Latino friends think I made it. The fresh scent of seasonings permeated through my car on the ride home, and that's when I knew I would be a returning customer! Thus, all you have to do it pop it in the oven! Ive also had their marinated chicken (raw) and I just cooked it in the air fryer. If you are looking for a quality butcher and are "street savy" enough to go to Hempstead, this is the place. They also sell oxtails, ribs, pig feet (if that's what you are into) and fresh thick bacon.”

“What a wonderful store ?
The food is phenomenal! They even have a very specific style of sausage, Chevalatta, that my 94y.o. dad used to get all the time from Corona. It's a specialty and they had it! We got sausage filled with broccoli rabe, regular ring sausage, multiple types of taralli, and ravioli.
But what makes it completely worth driving across the county for me was the customer service! Kind, big smiles all around, just an absolutely delight to go there. I found them on a whim driving somewhere else.
I'll definitely be going back and bringing my Dad so he can reminisce as well as get more amazing food!

As an example Boar's Head cold cuts are $1.50 to $2.00 a pound more than supermarkets and it shouldn't be. I purchased their pop corn and the kernels were big and tasty, but too much salt. I would like to buy it again and hope it's made with less salt.”
“Live poultry dressed to your preference, with a fairly wide choice of pulley variety, right here on the island! Was not crowded when I went on a Saturday afternoon, was in and out in 15 minutes. Came here to buy chicken, left with duck and chicken eggs around with dressed poultry.We have been coming to Safety Swim around the block for many years without being aware of this hidden gem.They do mind taking photographs / videos, but are otherwise polite, professional, efficient.”
