Minnewaska Lodge in Gardiner, NY is an absolutely beautiful, cozy, and peaceful lodge nestled at the foot of the Gunks. The setting is stunning with incredible views and immediate access to a hiking trail right on-site. The lodge itself features charming rustic elegance, wonderful communal spaces like outdoor seating and fire pits, and practical amenities including plenty of parking. Guests consistently praise the exceptional hospitality and warm, genuine, welcoming people. The staff are friendly, respectful, extremely accommodating, and go above and beyond to make stays special, often noted for thoughtful gestures. The rooms are described as great, awesome, beautiful, charming, spotlessly clean, and spacious. However, some guests note an acoustic problem where noise from surrounding rooms can be heard, suggesting earplugs for light sleepers. A tremendous highlight is the awesome, delicious breakfast, which goes above and beyond with a generous spread including fresh fruit, cereals, hot options, and freshly made pastries, offering plenty of options for various dietary restrictions. The lodge is also extremely pet friendly. Place is a hidden gem. Place is beautiful and at the base of the Shawangunk. It'staff is special, so nice, friendly and informative. Matt and Maggie especially. Come and enjoy nature and walk across the road to exceptional German cuisine

If you are looking for a relaxing home away from home, Minnewaska Lodge is the place. Close to hiking and restaurants. The common space with a fireplace just adds to the charm. And Maggie makes you feel like a long lost family. Dogs are welcome!
