“We went here for the New Years eve gala party 2024. It was just the right size, not massive like a catering hall and not too small either. There was always room to dance on the dance floor. The DJ they had was AMAZING!!! The cocktail hour food in my opinion could have been better if I compare to a large catering hall we went to a few years ago. But the main meal was great. People were very friendly and our waitress was excellent. She worked really hard. There was no valet which surprised me a little but I prefer to park my car anyway. The venue was beautiful, you feel like your approaching the Great Gatsby house when you drive up to the mansion and the interior was nicely appointed. Overall it was a great experience and I would do it again!”

“Very comfortable and luxurious. Snack bar on offer 24/7, lovely continental breakfast (try the almond croissant!) and friendly, caring hosts. We visited when it was raining, but plan to return in nicer weather. The water views are fabulous! Highly recommend!”

“If I could give a 20 out of 10 I would! All the staff at the hotel were amazing. My husband and I stayed here the night before our wedding, got ready in 2 separate suites the day of our wedding, and stayed the night of our wedding. They made sure that my husband and I were on 2 different floors so that we would not run into each other. We gave the front desk staff welcome bags to give to each guest upon arrival. They fulfilled all of our requests with ease and professionalism. They even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne the night of our wedding. How thoughtful!! We also booked a Post Nuptial Brunch the following day after our wedding. The food was delicious and the service was perfect! The front desk staff was outstanding and the manager, Matt, was so attentive and easy to communicate with. He always answered my emails promptly and with all the information I needed, if not more!! This made me so confident that our stay here would be nothing less than excellent. If you are looking for a no stress stay with staff who will make your special day easier, please book now with Courtyard by Marriott in Westbury!!!”

“I am a native Nyer who moved and back visiting from NC. Stayed here as the reviews were better than others around. While this was a tad pricer I decided why not. We arrived around 8pm. At first look the property looks really good. There were valets who we asked where to park and they showed us the other side of the building. On entry in the lobby, it's clean, uncluttered and well lit. No musty odors. We got to our room and we were impressed. I had no expectations but was nicely surprised. I am always on the look out for a room not well cleaned. Hair on the pillow or bathroom floor...NOPE. there was none of that. We ordered room service and the bread basket with the olive oil was really good. The fries..were crispy and done well. The room was modern enough, clean. Not a dust in sight. Even in the morning. Bravo. We actually decided we would stay here again. No complaints.Rooms: The rooms are spacious. Had the king room.Food & drinks: Food was good. A bit pricey but worth it.”

“We stayed just one night on the way to MA. They gave us a tiny room with really bad situation. WE were with a baby, so very uncofortable. Price same as the rest though! On our way back home we looked for another hotel..”

“This was our second stay at The Roslyn and it was even better than our first. This hotel is beautiful and charming - it looks like someone took an older building and shaped it with a lot of care and love. It feels cozy without being pretentious, a comfy classy vibe.Raj also made our visit extra special, informing us about what to expect at our stay and also surprising us with a slice of cheesecake for my partner's birthday! It was unexpected and made the night feel more special.Lastly, their restaurant (Atlas New World Bistro) is an unexpected presence. The food there is really good, like someone in there definitely knows how to cook! From the Eggs Benedict to the Croque Madame, it's hard to go wrong when you're craving breakfast or a weekend brunch. And special mention to their breakfast potatoes - I don't really like home fries, but these are so good. Like, crispy little cubes that still feels light, seasoned well and it's really unlike most generic home fries. Definitely worth a try!”

“I spent one night at The Vanderbilt and the staff was amazing. The room was impeccable. Everything was spotless, spacious, and felt like a home away from home. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site and it was delicious. We were even able to get in a morning work out because there’s a gym full of equipment! I can’t wait to stay visit again.”

“Western charged double what we were quoted at time of check out. The room was filthy and the building as a whole is in disrepair. When communicating with the front desk they were rude when we asked for towels/blankets. The pictures are not an accurate reflection of the rooms. I would avoid if you want Best Westerns quality.”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here for the Stevie Nicks concert, and it was phenomenal! The room was clean (especially the bathroom), and the front desk employee, I believe his name started with a T was very friendly and even called us 30 minutes into our check in to make sure everything was okay!”

“The first time we were in this hotel , we're happy with the price and the room. It was very clean , looks great and smells good. The room has everything and the AC was really cold , we had to turned it off.The second time though wasn't as good as the first time ?, bathroom sink was a little clogged and the room was on a smaller side. The bed was comfortable but was sliding down a bit and because of that , it made a noise.Food & drinks: Plenty of stores around , you can easily find a gas station and banks.”

“DO NOT STAY HERE -What a terrible place to stay at. The rooms are okay at best. But it’s really nothing compared to how they conduct business here. For one, this place is sleazy. There are many hookers and married men whom they let flaunt all over the lobby. Besides this fact, front desk staff is ok. But the manager here named Clara Alvarez is the most RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever met in my entire life! Not once have I seen anyone conduct themselves like this before. I merely came here with my husband and child and wanted to be check in a couple hours early (as a holiday inn platinum member) as we were traveling from across the country. My child was not feeling well and my husband and was tired from driving for 22 hours straight. We weren’t offered any snacks or water by the male manager. I even called in advanced and spoke to Fabian who told me they had baby beds which of course they did NOT! The front desk couldn’t help me and I needed to speak with management. Boy this lady was a bat out of hell. The level of disrespect and indecency was incredulous. She not only told us not to stay or come back here but she said if we didn’t leave she would charge our card and told us “good luck getting your money back”. She acts like she owns this place and has never conducted business before. Who hired such a woman??? Please someone fire this lady. Not a single family member or friend of mine will ever be going to another Holiday Inn until this lady is out of a job. DO NOT STAY HERE!”

“I’m most impressed with Bob at the front desk - he is so accommodating and friendly. This place is being updated on exterior nicely so I know it will be even better but I’m very satisfied with the rooms as every one is updated and has all you need. Staff is great. This hotel is a favorite.”

“False advertising on multiple accounts. Should be sued/fined. Difficult to get an answer. Booked through some nonsense directly with them, they botched my name, can't find reservation because it says I don't have an account. Bad bad bad. Too many issues to list them all. Will not be back. Also, the chicken Tikka masala was pretty bad. Sauce was good, but I only wanted it on the rice because the chicken was so bad.”

“It's mostly a place for temporary housing, there is no dish ware, utensils, and the bathroom faucet is leaking near the top of the sink. I visited Trader Joe's, and the Hicksville Memorial Library, and there were a long distance from the motel. I walked to both places.Rooms: On the whole it's a decent room, however there's a leaking faucet.Nearby activities: There are no nearby activities.Safety: I'm safe here, and they have a very secure system.Food & drinks: There are no meals served except, hot/cold cereal, coffee, and tea are provided by self service machines.”

“The newly renovated specialty room was nicer than I expected, the lobby was decorated to fit the holiday season and front desk was simple to deal with. I would recommend The Pines to anyone looking for a better experience for an affordable price.”

“Pros: cheapest option. good LI location. responsive front desk. good cleaning service.Cons: stingy smell of cigarettes in the lobby, hallway, and in the room. outdated rooms. I immediately took off the old blankets on the bed. no microwave/fridge in the room.”

“I give this place high marks for price and it is a relatively nice place to stay in the market it is in. You can’t beat that it is a nice hotel and moderately priced. I hope their employees make a decent living. The staff is good — Syed is a dedicated consummate professional and manager Monique is an hard worker. They are well trained to be nice to their guests. It is sad that they advertise amenities that they are short on; however, I assume some guests have stolen kitchen utensils and they can’t afford to give pots and pans away. Some allegedly-thieving guest’s probably ruined the pots and pans lending program. The only problem is they advertise that they supply kitchen utensils but, it took me asking to use a toaster in their employee break room before they lent me a toaster. I appreciate the gesture Syed made because he cannot pull pots and pans out of thin air or retrieve past stolen merchandise. Hehehe. I read reviews and I see other people received pots and pans but, they had no pots and pans for me. As soon as I complained about no pots and pans to Jeremy on their customer relations line in Florida my tv went offline. Is this their way of retaliating against me because I called them out by complaining about not getting the utensils they dole out arbitrarily. Maybe they should stop advertising that they supply kitchen utensils. A loud fridge doesn’t bother me because the price point trumps everything. As a result, a loud fridge compressor is nothing. If they change their ads to say kitchen utensils supplied unless we have too much demand—that type of gesture would go a long way. I still give the overall place two thumbs up. And they recently changed the carpet in all of the common areas. The laundry room is a great perk and reasonably priced, to boot!”

“We were looking for a budget friendly hotel in the garden city area and found the Coliseum Inn and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised, the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was in order and they had clean and comfy rooms. The WiFi was awesome and we had no issues at all. Don’t know why there are so many bad reviews. We had a great time and will definitely come back again.”
