“We went here for the New Years eve gala party 2024. It was just the right size, not massive like a catering hall and not too small either. There was always room to dance on the dance floor. The DJ they had was AMAZING!!! The cocktail hour food in my opinion could have been better if I compare to a large catering hall we went to a few years ago. But the main meal was great. People were very friendly and our waitress was excellent. She worked really hard. There was no valet which surprised me a little but I prefer to park my car anyway. The venue was beautiful, you feel like your approaching the Great Gatsby house when you drive up to the mansion and the interior was nicely appointed. Overall it was a great experience and I would do it again!”

The owner, John, and his staff (specifically James and Lisa) made this day so amazing for us. They were so good that I planned a wedding without a planner or a day-of coordinator and I was not worried in the slightest! “I had a great time on Friday night at our friend's birthday celebration at Marbella. The staff is wonderful, so friendly ! Marcello was very attentive and made sure we had a great time AND we always had a drink. A++ The room is very spacious and festive. The cocktail hour was great! Had a lot of my favorite bites, like seafood croquettes and tortilla espanola! Dinner was lovely, buffet with items such as pork loin, arroz con pollo and stuffed filet of sole which I really enjoyed. (if u know me, you know i dont eat fish, my hubby couldnt believe i ate this piece of sole! so good!) Lastly...Sangria, my drink of choice always...was a constant on the table and I couldnt be happier! I will definately be visiting the restaurant very soon!”

Of note, the maître d's, Raul and Anthony, continuously checked up on us throughout the evening and our bridal attendants, Alison and Kayla, were so caring and stayed proactive before we even knew what we needed. “Whitby Castle in Rye, NY is the absolute best & most perfect place for a wedding & we very highly recommend it as your wedding venue! We got married in March 2024 on a Saturday afternoon at Whitby & it was better than we ever could have imagined thanks to the breathtaking venue & all the amazing managers & staff. We looked at 10 wedding venues in Tri-state area before finding Whitby, & we knew we had to get married there the minute we saw it. First was the gorgeous castle & grounds (flawlessly manicured lawns on Rye Golf club & striking views of LI Sound), & how the venue provided accommodations for all weather types. Next was the wedding package, which included everything needed & was the best price for all options; we couldn’t find a better price anywhere.From our first meeting w/ Niki, the Catering Sales Manager at Whitby, we knew we made the right choice. Niki handled everything w/ the venue throughout the process, including catering, vendors, amenities & all options available through Whitby. Niki took the time to get to know us & thoroughly explained the numerous elements to consider when planning our wedding. She made us feel as if she genuinely cared about us & our wedding (because she did). We later met w/ the Ops Manager, Ralph, about 3 weeks before the wedding & he was just as awesome. Ralph had all the particulars laid out for every aspect of our wedding & provided a comprehensive timeline & wedding plan. Niki & Ralph were incredibly professional & knowledgeable, & also exceedingly responsive & accommodating.Weather was no concern on our wedding day because of how Whitby operates. They have complete & functional outdoor heating throughout the wraparound patio that hosted much of cocktail hour, despite it being high 50°. We had wonderful sun on morning of our wedding, but it was windy & our ceremony would be on colder side in afternoon. We did not want our guests to sit in the cold, so we had an indoor wedding, & it was beyond stunning. The magnificent arch windows in the reception hall gave us astonishing light & scenic views for the ceremony. Regardless of weather, they set up for both options, to have our wedding inside or outside. We thought this was amazing considering how unpredictable weather can be. Some venues tend to have multiple weddings to maximize space, but we appreciated that Whitby treated us as the main event.In addition to astounding views & spectacular customer service, the entrées & various food courses were outstanding. I am not sure which our guests raved about more, the delectable food or marvelous views. We also have nothing but phenomenal things to say about Rosa, the bridal attendant at Whitby. Rosa was exceptionally attentive & helpful throughout the day. Niki, Ralph, Rosa, & our maître d', Gabriel, were all extremely organized & prepared for every scenario. There were so many moving parts & minute details involved in our wedding, but Gabriel was so on top of everything & made it a day to remember. The service was impeccable & all Whitby staff were tremendously kind & helpful. Nearly all our guests told us how it was not only the most beautiful & fun wedding they have ever been to, but the best party. Whitby gave us a wedding beyond our dreams. “Just had my daughter's Sweet 16 at Vienna and I cannot say enough good things about this venue. They were professional from beginning to end. The communication leading up to the event made me feel like I had nothing to worry about. Julie was great to deal with and didn't miss a detail and connected me with any company that I could need to make this party a success. The night of the party, Chris was right there to make sure we had everything we needed and it ran seamlessly. The entire team worked hard and you can tell they enjoy their job and have a great environment. The food was great and the DJ was top notch! The dance floor was never empty. The energy was infectious and the guests had an amazing time. My daughter felt like a princess all night! Do not even think twice about booking here. You will not be disappointed!”

“Great time here at the Rock Club.Purchased a Groupon and decided to visit on a Friday morning. Called ahead and the front desk staff were very quick in getting back to me to confirm that a belayer was available at that time. They also confirmed the Groupon over the phone. I went ahead and completed the required waiver forms online prior to our visit.Adequate parking was available at that time. The Rock Club (downstairs) shares its space with a with a tennis club, so make sure you follow the ramp down toward the Rock Club entrance and NOT the stairs whih leads to the tennis club.We arrived at around 10am and it was fairly empty. The Rock Club staff explained the process and set us up with climbing shoes.We were then introduced to our belayer who was awesome. Over the next hour, we tried climbs ranging in difficulty. The wall heights range from about 35-40 feet and the peg placement and wall angles vary throughout the climbs, making some more difficult than others. We even had some time to try some bouldering. Our belayer was great at explaining techniques and technical terms. She was very patient and very encouraging...though not "pushy" at all.After we finished, the staff was nice enough to show us around to see what else was available at the facility: childrens area, common areas, training rooms and weight rooms.May go without saying...wear comfy clothes. As a regular gym-goer, but someone who has NOT climbed before, this was a welcomed challenge. Certain muscles, particularly the forearms and core, may not be part of the typical gym regimen...but are very important in climbing...that being said, I was definitely feeling it the next day.Overall we had a great experience at the Rock Club. We will deinifitely look into other classes.Kudos to all the staff members there.”

“We had a great time visiting with our 5 year old son. There were plenty of interactive exhibits to keep him entertained and engaged the entire time we were there. Every single room had buttons to press that controlled different things that related to aviation and space. I also was able to chat with a docent for 10 minutes to learn more about the history of aviation on Long Island. Such a neat history and what an awe inspiring collection of planes and historical relics this place has!! They also have two actual moon rocks in this place as well as memorabilia from Apollo 13 and other space ships!!”

My girls love their classes and their teachers. We love Glen Dance and plan to be part of their family for years to come.”

“Today I visited the Planting Fields Arboretum for the Long Island Orchid Society show! I've been to this beautiful space several times in the past, but not in the past decade. So I was very excited to see all my favorite flowers in one place, so many unbelievably gorgeous varieties and representations of orchids!!Once the show was over, we walked the grounds to the greenhouse, undoubtably one of my favorite places on Long Island. One step inside and you're in the middle of a warm, comfortable natural smelling wonderland. There are rooms of cactus, orchids, bromeliads, and the main attraction: the central greenhouse. I spotted banana and my "come-back" plant, and so many beautiful living things. Honestly I didn't want to leave, but I foolishly forgot to bring a water bottle.The orchid show ends tomorrow, but the Arboretum is open every day. When (not if) you go, please say hello to the plants for me--they'll enjoy your carbon dioxide!”

“Truly a magical experience here for our son's first birthday. I would say I'm an intense planner but wanted something chill and hands off for this first party and Nana's Wonderland hit it out of the park! They took our theme and created something beautiful and happy and better than anything we could have imagined. The facilities are clean and updated and all the kids had a blast. They helped us with every aspect of the party, from setting up the decor and food, to hosting a bubble party and keeping the flow of the party. Our party attendants were so lovely and kind, it really made the entire experience so wonderful to have genuine people helping with your little ones.”

This place is a great for hosting events such as Bar & Bat Mitzvahs and golf outings. The course is so beautiful and perfect to play on a beautiful day.For food options, they serve lunch and dinners in main clubhouse. They offer both ala carte and buffet. Their half way house is great and offers both breakfast and lunch. Ben makes amazing burgers. 10/10 for food and service. “AMAZING! My daughter wanted an all girls spa type birthday party. This party went WAY beyond all my expectations. I wasn’t sure if the party would work for my soon to be 9 year old. Wow! From the mani/pedis to the hair styling , to the fashion show and dance party. Everything was a massive hit with the girls. They handled absolutely everything. My husband and I stayed here the night before our wedding, got ready in 2 separate suites the day of our wedding, and stayed the night of our wedding. They made sure that my husband and I were on 2 different floors so that we would not run into each other. We gave the front desk staff welcome bags to give to each guest upon arrival. They fulfilled all of our requests with ease and professionalism. They even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne the night of our wedding. How thoughtful!! We also booked a Post Nuptial Brunch the following day after our wedding. The food was delicious and the service was perfect! The front desk staff was outstanding and the manager, Matt, was so attentive and easy to communicate with. He always answered my emails promptly and with all the information I needed, if not more!! This made me so confident that our stay here would be nothing less than excellent. “I am a native Nyer who moved and back visiting from NC. Stayed here as the reviews were better than others around. While this was a tad pricer I decided why not. We arrived around 8pm. At first look the property looks really good. There were valets who we asked where to park and they showed us the other side of the building. On entry in the lobby, it's clean, uncluttered and well lit. No musty odors. We got to our room and we were impressed. I had no expectations but was nicely surprised. I am always on the look out for a room not well cleaned. Hair on the pillow or bathroom floor...NOPE. there was none of that. We ordered room service and the bread basket with the olive oil was really good. The fries..were crispy and done well. The room was modern enough, clean. Not a dust in sight. Even in the morning. Bravo.We actually decided we would stay here again.No complaints.Rooms: The rooms are spacious. Had the king room.Food & drinks: Food was good. A bit pricey but worth it.”

“The New Dawn Foundation is a phenomenal organization that provided our spiritual group a space to host a retreat on Kabbalah. We rented the venue for just the weekend, and the volunteers (particularly Nnacy) who run this organization were very prompt to reply to any and all questions I had about the space leading up to our event. We comfortably hosted 14 people in the space, although this worked well because we knew each other going in and had a few couples sharing beds.Thank you New Dawn for all the work you all do in order to create affordable opportunities for young adults like us to engage in spiritual retreats! At the end of our time together participants went around in a Circle and shared gratitude, and so many people included the venue as something they were grateful to experience over the weekend.Can't recommend this venue enough.
