“By far the best hobby shop around NYC, has been for ages, not many left. Amazing selection of rc cars, planes, boats, model trains and loads of diecast cars of all makes, models and sizes.
Worth the trip, staff are also super friendly and helpful.”

“My favorite bookstore! They had a great selection and everything is organized is very well. It doesn't feel overwhelming when you step inside like some other places. Even if I'm not purchasing book, I love to just go in and walk around! If they don't have the book you're looking for, they'll order it for you and they typically come in by the following week. Huge fan of this place, I always recommend it when people are looking for a bookstore!”

“No weekend is complete without a run to 5 Below. It's always for something that's needed like a phone charger cord and then I wind up seeing so many other things that I feel like I must have. This location is usually pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. Every once in a while they're short handed up front but they seem to make it work. On this trip I got pillows and a throw for my guest bedroom because they were super cute and affordable. I also bought another bookcase/organizer because I used one of theirs for my pop up shop set up and it works really great. Even though some things are more than $5 most of my items were actually $5. If you have a very small child, I'm warning you they have lots of cute toys and a lot of candy especially near the checkout so either prep them before you go in or don't bring them.”
“I’ve been looking for a magical toy store in westchester / Greenwich area and I’ve finally found it! The store has not only an impecable selection of European toys, I also has cool fun activity toys and play sets. I can tell the owner has her heart and soul in her store. It’s also super easy to park just around the corner and the street it’s on (I think Larchmont ave) is so whimsical. I’m so happy I’ve found this place”

I'm describing him so he gets credit.) was such a kind, nice, courteous. guy. Just one of those people with good energy about them. I wish stores knew more how important it is for people at check out to be friendly to customers...and what a difference it makes. They don't have to be over friendly, but some people that check out, don't even acknowledge you. It's just as important as the product and price point. It's your experience at the store.”

“As a new mom, and someone who has 1 million nieces and nephews and a different friend having a baby what seems like every month I would be completely lost without KJ’s. The store is organized by age grouping and the people working there are so knowledgeable on all the newest fads. There’s truly something for every age group and occasion there. They’ve revolutionized one stop shopping: birthday party? Check. Dance recital? CHECK! Stocking stuffers? Check. Easter baskets? Check!!! I feel blessed to have this in my backyard, and to see my money going somewhere local.”
