“Last Thursday I walked into Akins - no line and I was immediately and warmed greeted. I asked about transferring my prescription (from the Warwick CVS which is an actual circle of hell) and they said my doctor only had to send through the order and they'd take care of the rest.Sure enough, I received a notification that my prescription was filled (under 24 hours) and when I went to pick up, they even had my current insurance details on file!Warm, knowledgeable staff and a clear focus on the customer -- Akins will get all my business going forward! A true small town gem!”

Mohamed the owner is always so helpful and is always there to answer any questions I may have and they will go out of there way to make your visit there stress free,no waiting in long lines and I would rather do business in my own Town. “This is my new favorite pharmacy! I've been going to CVS for years but they have had a hard time filling my scripts lately and their text message system is barely accurate, so my doc recommended Haas. So thankful she did! I had no idea how much I was missing that personalized experience. The pharmacist is funny and helpful and just really down to earth. He called my docs directly to make changes or clarifications and they had some items in stock that have been on backorder at other pharmacies for months. They have a great system that sends texts for updates and when scripts are ready, and allows you to pay right through the link before picking up. The drive thru and convenience store aspects are also pluses. So happy to finally have a great local pharmacy!”

“They have so many different options to customize your photos. Many different print sizes, posters and magnet options. Very helpful staff and an easy to use Walgreens cell phone we app. Very fast pick ups available. You can even drop off the old cameras that you found in your nightstand and get them developed. It takes a few days but it's worth it. Many Walgreens have the photo department and I recommend them highly.”

“Side note: I personally don't use Walgreens but figured Id write this review. Went here on Tuesday September 16th 2024 with my dad to check on his prescription because he had received a phone call about something related to his prescription. It was more test strips and a machine, but the machine wasn't ready yet. But the pharmacist was very nice and friendly and answered his questions. Friendliness is what matters I think! Putting it this way, not sure if my insurance can accept Walgreens but I would go there myself for the friendly service, especially if one has questions!”
“Great service. Huge selection of supplements that no other pharmacy has. Prices are also very reasonable. Open late hours which is very convenient. I won’t use any other pharmacy but this one. I highly recommend it.”

“former new yorker here. i haven’t been back to new york in a long time after having moved away. totally forgot to transfer my medications before coming back to my old home state for a quick vacation. cvs monroe’s staff, especially one of their new technicians, kayla felix, is absolutely amazing. her customer service is impeccable and she’s amazing at her job. her future is bright and she was super super helpful in helping me with my medications in the quick interaction we had. will definitely be back and asking for kayla’s help.”

When passing through Orange County, this location is right off the Chester exit and I can go in get what I need and get back on the highway. This store has a lot of inventory when it comes to food and snacks. I like to use the self check out because I can get my item and get out fast.”

“If this were last year, my rating wouldn't be as high — I agree with many other reviewers that the pharmacy used to be an absolute nightmare, and many of the store's staff behaved like they'd rather be anywhere else. Now, however, things seem to have improved. I've used the pharmacy a few times over the past few months because other pharmacies in town weren't able to get certain meds, but Walgreens could — and the pharmacy's customer service both over the phone and in person was excellent each time. I know how hard the medical industry has been hit since the pandemic and the lack of professionals makes everything stack up and back up, but it's how staff treats customers that makes the difference, and the pharmacy has indeed stepped it up a big notch. I really hope that continues. For the rest of the store's staff, many have also improved their service and attitudes, although there are still a few who apparently didn't get the memo. But overall it's now a much more enjoyable and much less frustrating experience, and I hope that continues, too.”
