“Go to the neighborhood Marshalls. They are generally well-stocked in all departments except men's. It's not uncommon for the chain but it is certainly a pain point.”

“If I need retail therapy, this store usually satisfies my craving. I like the mix of quality clothing, toiletries/makeup, and handbags plus homegoods which makes it more interesting than the Homegoods store nearby. However, if you want sheets or comforters, Homegoods has a much better selection. Four stars are given instead of five because the shoe department is not nearly as good as it used to be. Also, the jewelry department is not what it was 20 years ago. There is much more low quality costume/trendy jewelry available and less sterling silver and gold. In addition, they used to have quality wrist watches and pearls. The vast amount of Halloween items struck me as odd today. I did not realize that there was this much interest. Do many people have Halloween themed parties and need stem glassware embellished with skeletons and black spiders? I appreciate decorating for Fall but Halloween? In my opinion as a senior, all one really needs is candy to hand out and maybe a costume. I like the mix of clothing for children, men, and women. The racks were organized well and neat. There was also a nice selection of children's books and toys I picked up a few bags of natural snacks for my dog as well as a new dog bed perfect for her 11 pound body. Other bonuses: Attentive staff Efficient check out Excellent return policy Opportunity to return items purchased online Ample parking Carts that work well Clean rest room Love me some retail therapy at TJ Max.”

“What an amazing experience, especially with their Christmas decor. I was briefly whisked back to childhood. What an amazing feeling. The array of items and the quality makes for a great combination. Enjoy the experience seeing how it comes, but once a year!”
“One of the last large stores still found in malls in my area. A good place to go for clothes as they carry a lot. They also have departments for jewelry, home goods, etc. Even if you are not out to buy anything, it is an interesting place to just walk around a bit. I would enjoy these types of stores while you can, since the various chains are closing everywhere along with our malls.”

Picked up a couple if pants in the boys section.Marshall's is a good place to buy kids clothing, comforters, kitchen stuff and furniture. I use to find great deals on banded comforter sets (specifically Tommy or Ralph Lauren). Most of my comforters I have bought are from Marshalls.Over the last 2 to 3 years I have ventured out of marshalls but haven't been able to match the high quality and the price at Marshall's.”

“We have a lot of fun shopping at Marshalls. Last week, we bought about 10 tops for our 17 year old niece who picked them out herself. The price of each was less than 10 dollars. I got a faux leather jacket for 34 dollars. We also love the pet section. We found a good-looking, comfy bed for our puppy, bully sticks and a few games that keep her occupied. Marshalls often has deals on shoes and household products. Sometimes, we have found a special piece of furniture for our home. The good news is that surprises and real finds abound at Marshalls.”
“This is a nice, well stocked target store. Some of them never have full shelves but I'm my experience this one usually has what I'm looking for. Hopefully this continues despite current supply chain issues.”
“Fun, clean, good flow, many products are $5 and $4 dollars. Really have to watch the prices. Products never stick around long. When they're in the front seasonal section on the right and only a few are left, they either get moved to the back or on a table in the front, on the left at a discount price. They also have separate standing racks that are separate vendors. Not affiliated as a five below product. They are a vendor product. Will vary per store. Be careful on the purchase.”
“Our daughter and fiancé ordered their save the date and wedding invitations at Pearl Grant Richmans. They were beautiful and the staff, especially Margaret, was so helpful and accommodating. Thank you for the lovely addition to their wedding!”
“I always find good deals when i come here. I miss shopping at the one in NYC since moved a few yrs ago. I got some items for the Summer for me and my teenage daughter. She was very happy. She got a hoodie in July lol. Kids nowadays are hilarious. (No she's not wearing it, she just wanted a new one).”

“I can’t understand some of the bad reviews regarding the cleanliness of the store. I found the store very organized. They could put up Christmas decorations, but the customer service was amazing so many people helped me pick out perfume as a Christmas present for my wife. One particular associate in the moisturizer section deserves praise. Mary K was fantastic in helping me and very knowledgeable. She was super friendly, it’s was a pleasure shopping at the Colonie center location. Christmas wish is that Macy’s recognize excellence in Mary K who goes above and beyond. It is the employees that really make the shopping experience a positive one.”

“We have both purchased in store and had purchases delivered via online shopping over the years and, today for the first time, picked up groceries in store after placing ordered online. It was free and they sent an email notification that the order was ready for pickup, and the pickup was pain free, so would do it again for sure. The lessened enthusiasm over the last few years has to do with Target stopping carrying Mossimo clothing and replacing with what we feel are of lesser quality, which is why we haven't bought any clothing from Target in years and is the reason for a star deduction. Besides the above, for me Target is still one of the top considerations for shopping in terms of value, overall customer service, selection, and store layout. I hope they continue to improve.”
“I don't know what happened to the review I posted in 2018 of this place, but when I came in yesterday (after several Lyft trips with one of my trips ending here), I went looking for several items - one of which was a certain Mad Libs book (which I couldn't find) - and a single bottle of Poland Spring spring water (I found a brand that only Stewarts Shops sells up near the self-checkouts on the upper level, but never thought about checking for it downstairs with my car on the upper level.) I found the down escalator to not work, and while it not working was slowing others down ahead of me (a person who seemed to be having trouble walking the stairs ahead of me), I liked that I found the escalators going up to be working much later. But in this trip, I also found several elevators in an elevator bank also nearby the escalator if you walk a little further and are able to wait for only one cart in the elevator at the time (not as funny as watching the cart come down as you, but it's worthwhile if necessary. It's like a maze in here. Signs galore leading every which way; you just about need a map to get from one end to the other - something I couldn't say about most other Walmarts I've been to nationwide (including one I stopped into in Florida many years ago in Kissimmee) One good thing comes with this place: it's the only one of its kind within the United States. I still can't say that very many folks are actually serious about following the one-way aisle rules, but I at least made the attempt (not being a common shopper at this store) to follow the rules. (When I got back home later, the one thing I missed I should have looked for here, and something I'll later feel sorry about not making the attempt to look for. (weeps)) One of the things I said in my last review was that parking was overly zealous. But not this time. Most spots were full, but I was able to park down an aisle straight out from the door on the upper level (there's a manmade legal hill that leads to the lower level parking lot) - although it was like a maze to get back out onto Washington Ave later from the Upper level. I do remember in the lost review of how I mentioned the small family restroom near customer service on the upper level. I did like that - if only it was stocked with paper towels, and without a blow dryer, it's desperately needed. There was no one to speak to about this need on this newest trip, and I was able to grab a toilet seat cover instead (although this idea was just as bad as not having a paper towel anyway)), but there were other restrooms I found on this trip I would never have expected.”
“Crossgates JC Penny staff member Grace was pleasant, helpful and professional. The store looked better than I have seen it look in a while. She didn't just stand at the counter, she actually would walk the store and arrange merchandise, all while keeping an eye on the register. Great employee!”
