“I stayed in 407 on business and the hotel is pretty nice, looks like it might have been renovated. I stayed in a Courtyard in Buckhead a few weeks ago and it had the same room features except the outlets on the wall by the tv and night stands can fit multiple plugs at the same time. The only suggestion I have is having a couple of house umbrellas behind the front desk and the parking lot had poor drainage.”

“My wife and I had our wedding reception (for ~125 guests) in the Somerley room at Fox Hollow and it was absolutely amazing! The entire planning process with James and Hillary was seamless. Our maitre d', Samir, handled everything flawlessly during the reception, and my wife's bridal attendant Sofia was incredible and very attentive. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious! We had high expectations and every single one was exceeded - an incredible day.
The wedding party and almost all of the wedding guests stayed at the Fox Hollow Inn which was very convenient. The rooms were large and very nice, the fireplace was very warm, and the hotel bar was a great place for an informal after party!
We did our rehearsal dinner at the Volpe which was also amazing.
We highly recommend Fox Hollow for a wedding venue/rehearsal dinner/hotel - they made our day so special and were amazing to work with!”

“The best hotel for visiting college student at Hofstra. Conveniently close to shopping and restaurants. Not walking distance to hofstra but easy enough with hofstra/mall shuttle or ride share. Rooms are spacious. Staff are top notch. Always looking to make our visit easier. GM deserves credit for creating an environment where this is valued. If corporate is reading this, please give them credit for making residence inn our primary choice when traveling.”

“Fantastic, family run establishment that stands proudly as an institution in Jones Beach. Great value, friendly and accommodating service. Connected to a lively restaurant that smells great and seems to always be packed. Rooms are clean and modern if only a little small but it's a comfortable clean room. Staff is great, sweetest lady answers during the day. Staff in evening is kind and helpful with good recommendations for local eating and drinking.”

“I checked in on Friday at 3/20 around 3pm and checked out the following Sunday. The front desk worker, I think Maria, at the front desk were incredibly friendly helpful in getting me connected with the wedding I was attending in town and directing me towards important times, like the shuttle to the events. They also offered me a cocktail and kindly checked for better rooms without me having to even ask . The room service was great and was brought hot on real plates with covers. I also texted the front desk asking for a razor and someone brought it to be in 10 minutes. Old fashioned hotel service that is hard to find these days. The bed was so comfortable but I just wish the beds didn’t roll a bit throughout the day. Still I slept like a log.”

“I absolutely love this hotel! This hotel is immaculate. The people that work here are friendly and helpful. The lobby is incredible, the amenities are incredible, and the rooms are incredible. There’s not another hotel on Long Island that I would ever consider staying at. I would like to comment, though on the one thing that I am unhappy about, and that’s the bathrooms. The first thing is that there is no ventilation in the bathrooms. There is a small vent in the ceiling, however, I believe that is for the air conditioning and heating. The water pressure that comes out of the shower is so strong too, but if you want to have nice hot water, that’s the type of pressure that you have to use. With the water pressure being so intense, it is nearly impossible to prevent water from spilling out onto the bathroom floor. Every time I have taken a shower here, when I am getting dried off, there is usually a flood of water outside of the shower, so I right away have to take some towels and throw them on the floor to absorb any water that is on the floor. Also, because of the lack of ventilation, the ceilings always stays dripping wet. Even when nobody is taking a shower, you could see yellow dried water spots on the ceiling, that means that everybody has the same issue that I was experiencing. There should be a way to adjust the water pressure, but after looking at the showerhead, it does not seem like that is possible. I really hope the hotel considers replacing these showerheads with ones that are adjustable, that would help with the water spilling onto the floor. The other issue I have with the bathrooms is that the wash cloths, hand towels, and bath towels, are located on the other side of the bathroom. If you need a towel to get dried off, you have to come out of the shower to take one from the vanity. A suggestion I would make is to remove the painting above the toilet and replace it with a towel rack. That way you could easily reach out of the shower and grab whatever towels you might need. These are minor things that I’m sure can be addressed and I hope that they will be since I plan on spending more time at this hotel whenever I need someplace to stay. I also would like to make one last comment on something that a lot of people also have an issue with, and that’s the actual air conditioner/heater. These units are so noisy. I believe it is because they are not properly maintained. They are very loud when they turn on, and they are very very loud when they are running. They make a lot of noise and again I believe this is something that could be easily fixed if the units are looked into more often. Other than that, this hotel is just amazing. It has close proximity to grocery stores and restaurants and it’s located right off of the main highways. You really can’t pick a better place to stay and I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thanks for your time for reading my review.”

“Don't comment on room service cuz we were there two days and we didn't get room service and they said they didn't do anything to the room on a daily basis. But the room was fine and the staff was very nice. Lynbrook is a very nice place to stay in. The breakfast in the morning was bacon and eggs an assortment of cereals and coffee and some bagels and croissants and juices and I think that was pretty good for Continental breakfast.”

“Not a fan of the rooms BUT they were clean and comfortable. The in house dining is great. Family friendly. The only issue is that the rooms have no exterior windows, just windows out onto the hallway, so you have to leave shades down. A good place for a short stay.”

“I was trying to make it home after work at the beginning of the 2026 blizzard. I got half way home after 2 hours and found myself in whiteout condition. I was in fear for my life and the lives of my two dogs. I pulled into the first hotel I found. This hotel was accommodating, friendly and helpful for m beginning to end! I had a lovely breakfast and was able to head home the next day after a late check out. I am so grateful to the kind people I met that day. They were wonderful!”

“We had an amazing experience working with The Mansion at Glen Cove over the past year leading up to our wedding on July 19th. We loved being the only wedding that day, which made the whole venue and staff focused entirely on us. Having both the bridal and groom suites all day was perfect for getting ready and relaxing.

The cocktail hour and reception flowed beautifully, and the half-hour hospitality for our guests was a lovely touch. Huge thanks to the chef and his team for the delicious food, especially the special spicy salsas we requested!

Jazmin and Meghan did an incredible job coordinating the day and working seamlessly with all our vendors. Our bridal assistant Ashley was a true gem and so helpful throughout the day.

Having our guests stay on-site at the hotel made everything so convenient, and the after-party at the speakeasy pub on the third floor was the perfect ending, open bar, late-night bites, pool tables, and great music kept the fun going!

“I stayed at the HIE Roslyn for almost a week last week. It was a great experience! The rooms were snug yet clean. But, I will take snug and clean over big and dirty any day of the week! It was in a great location for someone like me who was splitting time between Suffolk and Manhattan. Well lit parking and in a safe neighborhood. Karen at the front desk has all the class and professionalism of a concierge at a 5 star resort. She was able to help me extend my stay with ease. It says 2 star but this property could really work for someone who needs just a clean simple room.”

“After a classic Connecticut-to-Long-Island traffic adventure, we finally rolled up to the Hilton Long Island / Huntington, with just enough time for a quick twenty-minute dip in the indoor pool before heading to our dinner reservation. (The outdoor pool looked so good, too, RIP to that missed opportunity.)

The hotel felt like a time capsule, clearly the height of modern design when it first opened. It had a nostalgic charm, especially the indoor waterfall by the pool, which totally inspired me to start planning one for the backyard. TJ was instantly on board, his dad always loved a good fountain or pond, so clearly it's in the genes.

The place was buzzing with weddings and events, and you could smell egg rolls in the air thanks to the on-site Chinese restaurant. The mural over our bed gave big-time SpongeBob Bikini Bottom vibes.

They were out of king and queen beds, so we ended up sharing a double. Very. Cozy. Sleeping. But honestly? We made it work.”

“The room was clean and comfortable, and the location of the motel was in a very nice, clean and quiet suburb, near many businesses, including a nearby grocery store. The free breakfast had limited options, but we loved the fresh New York bagels and coffee machine.”

“When my husband and I booked this room we were very skeptical because of the reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised by our stay. We did not experience any of the negative comments or things that people were saying. The only issue I had was the front desk lady had a little bit of an attitude when I was having trouble with my key, but it was nothing serious enough for me to be angry or hold a grudge. Another thing, they do require a $300 security deposit during your stay to ensure nothing is ruined, I completely understand that, and most places do require a security deposit but $300 did seem to be a lot and took us by surprise. I did not fight them on it, I paid it, and I got it within 2 business days back. However, for other people staying it seemed to be an issue. My husband and I were staying at the very first room by the front desk so we could hear people screaming and yelling about the $300, understandable. Going back to the comments about the housekeeping and location. Our room was very clean, the air conditioning was already on so we walked into a nice cool room. The sheets and and pillow cases were completely clean, our TV and mini fridge worked perfectly fine. Other than that incident with one of the front desk members, everyone else was very nice and welcoming. We did not notice any people standing outside the hotel making us feel unsafe. We even got back around 2am one night, no issues at all. Nobody tried to enter our room without permission, not even housekeeping, and nothing was stolen from us. We also did not smell any drugs or see any drug activity through our stay. We also enjoyed the location, it was very close to a lot. Target is just around the corner and because we were in town for a wedding, Uber rides were very cheap and fast or you could walk.”

“Didn't stay at this hotel originally because of the reviews. It's been completely remodeled. Awesome high end Mexican restaurant on the water next door and half the price of the chains to the north. I was here for a work trip and decided to drive by in case my job ran over a day and it did. Best shower I've probably ever had. Comfortable beds. Could use a bigger fridge/freezer. Still bigger than the chain hotel's eco freezer ??”

“Never stood here but was visiting a longtime high school friend whos now in Florida!
I do remember when this was huntington country inn as a little boy! this place was also recently newly renovated from top to bottom and love how the vending machines restrooms were immaculate and the way they kept the history alive! I never knew this was also a howard johnson back in the 1950s so my guess is that they went private in 2000 then eventually rodeway bought them out! Overall not a bad place to stay too! Its been so long since ive seen this place as well! So worth coming back as a guest.”
