“Heard about this store from the LI Teachers group on FB. Greatest little find. Store has teacher supplies throughout but most of it is concentrated in the back. The woman at the register is extremely helpful. If you can’t find something, just ask her, she will let you know if they have any more in the back or if the are ordering more supplies. They also laminate anything you buy for free. Plus teachers get a 15% discount. Great store and customer service.”
“By far the best hobby shop around NYC, has been for ages, not many left. Amazing selection of rc cars, planes, boats, model trains and loads of diecast cars of all makes, models and sizes.
Worth the trip, staff are also super friendly and helpful.”
“Came in here on a whim with my 3 year old looking for cars and from the moment we walked in the staff was so friendly, helpful and kind. We spent a lot of time there browsing before my son finally decided on his cars and never felt rushed or unwelcome. Truly a gem to find and they had so many collectibles, figurines and other toys.”
“Kidz toys has a delicious Swedish candy bar. The candy was so fresh and delicous. I brought some home to my family and they all loved it. Also the toy selection is amazing. They carry things you don’t find anywhere else.”
“First time in today! They had the cutest things. I was upset I was in a rush to get to the airport. I wanted to look around, I wanted one of everything! The whole store is very inviting, clean organized! I was shocked to see that in a card and gift store. the woman at checkout who helped me sign up for the rewards program was super sweet can't wait to go back!”
“After visiting this book store in the past, I was impressed by the combination of the coffee house and the variety of books that were on the shelves for sale. It was a very relaxing experience.”
“We stopped in at TrainLand, and it didn't disappoint. We bought a NYC Subway Holiday Train set. It's so refreshing to speak to polite, knowledgeable sales people. Wonderful store, fun guys and GREAT stories!!”
“Fun stuff toys is our go to toy store. Our physical go to toy store I should say. There aren't many toy stores around anymore… I remember growing up we had Toys "R" Us we had KB toys. We had a bunch of different toy options but then again, that was before Amazon… It's nice to bring my son to an actual physical toy store and see him experience the way I used to at Toys "R" Us even my two older kids had Toys "R" Us but now Everybody orders everything off of Amazon or online… But if you want to bring your child to an actual physical toy store, just like what we used to have growing up this would be the place to go! Sure it is a quite a bit smaller than the toy stores we used to have, but again at least there is one physical place you can bring them to strictly designated to toys. The prices obviously are a little bit higher than what you would pay on Amazon for a specific toy, I know because I've done it while in the store and saw a significant difference in pricing… But I feel like you're paying for the experience also, if that even makes sense. It's nice to be able to bring your child and see him or her. Enjoy the toys before you actually purchase them. I would highly recommend fun stuff toys not because of the pricing, because it's significantly higher, but just to watch your children enjoy their shopping experience in an actual toy store. They have a great selection, the store itself is always very clean, and we can spend an hour or two just walking around the store even though it's smaller because of the experience, they will receive while shopping. I love seeing that continuous smile on his face, moving from toy to toy and actually trying them out before the actual purchase. To me, the smile, and the laughter of my child is worth every single penny!”
“KJ’s corner is truly what gives small businesses their good rep. not only is it a nice clean one-stop-shop, but also super local and friendly too. Their variety of options on balloons is what really caught my eye. Karli has the talent of bringing a vision to life (which can be hard to come across these days). Also a huge plus is seeing the cutest dogs while you shop! 10/10 would recommend coming here, and I will most definetely be coming back for all my gift and balloon needs !!!”

“Great toy store, helpful friendly staff!! Yes it's a bit cluttered but theres tons to choose from in such a small space, and I thought it was cozy and cute. My only suggestion is to put prices on the items. But even with that, the staff was available and helpful with telling the prices. Great free wrapping too. A little Expensive but worth it! I found things you don't see in big box stores.”
“This was my first time going to build a bear and creating one. Ethan upon entering greeted us and walked us through the whole process and created an experience that’ll I will forever treasure and replay every time I see my build a bear. Five starts isn’t enough for this place the rest of the staff were awesome as we walked throughout the store. I would come back again to go through the whole experience with Ethan.”
“On one of the worst days of my life where my son was just out of control - two women who work at this store - Vickie and Stephanie showed me kindness and compassion when most people just judge and ridicule . I will never forget them and what they did for me yesterday . This company , this store , and the people working there deserve nothing but the best . These women were two angels and Lego is a good company with people that care about the special needs community in a real and meaningful way”
“Bought two canvas and some other things from here. They had a larger selection than the one I went to previously. Really enjoyed painting these and their perfume/beauty selection. They have a very small array of vegan skincare which I was happy they had at all.”
“It’s a great store, they have great toys and good sports equipment. Michelle who works there really helped and she’s very nice and they wrap toys on the house what’s definitely recommend!”

“No weekend is complete without a run to 5 Below. It's always for something that's needed like a phone charger cord and then I wind up seeing so many other things that I feel like I must have. This location is usually pretty well stocked and the staff is friendly. Every once in a while they're short handed up front but they seem to make it work. On this trip I got pillows and a throw for my guest bedroom because they were super cute and affordable. I also bought another bookcase/organizer because I used one of theirs for my pop up shop set up and it works really great. Even though some things are more than $5 most of my items were actually $5. If you have a very small child, I'm warning you they have lots of cute toys and a lot of candy especially near the checkout so either prep them before you go in or don't bring them.”
“i have never seen an organization like this . Everyone works day and night and no one gets paid. they take care of homeless children and families and Pets. please donate to Toys of Hope so that they can help your unfortunate neighbors.”
“I recently visited E-magine Toys and it was a total blast! ? The store had an incredible selection of toys for kids of all ages. From action figures to board games, they had it all. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, and they helped me find the perfect gift for my niece. The store was well-organized and had a fun and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend checking out E-magine Toys for all your toy shopping needs!”
“My brother in law gave my grandchildren gift certificates to this store last Christmas. We waited until Easter to spend the money. One of my granddaughters left her gift card home however the ladies were so accommodating and looked her up in the computer. They helped the children and were so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful store lovely toys and amazing staff thank you”

“Stopped in during Easter weekend and was amazed at the inventory this store has. If there’s a line of toys / collectibles you want it’s inside these walls. Owner was very kind and helpful while shopping. Even if you’re not interested in buying something this is an amazing experience just to walk through. A truly museum grade collection and worth checking out. Will definitely be back thanks!”

“Keep in mind that the merchandise really doesn't make the store. They are all cookie-cutter stores. For me, it's the salespeople. The Freeport store has a nice young man who is quite helpful making my shopping easier.”
“Fabulous local toy store! The owner happened to be there that day and he personally helped me carry toys to my car because I couldn’t carry everything, so kind! Love to support local businesses and would highly recommend”
“Don't be fooled by the seemingly small storefront - this toy store has so much selection inside and so neatly organized. My kids and I were warmly greeted upon entering and offered help. Staff were all so friendly and kind. Great place to buy gifts for kids' birthday parties. I especially loved that they carry Usborne activity books!”
“This is my favorite comic store. Peter, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and ready to recommend new reads as well as classic comics of all genres.
If you’re looking to start a weekly subscription, or add that special book you’ve always wanted, Phoenix Comics should be your first stop!
Thank you for a continually wonderful experience, Peter!”
