“I went specifically here due to reviews after being told my save the dates for my wedding were too thick with a wax seal to mail by other post offices. I was so close to having to open every single envelope and do it all over again. Until I went here! The clerk Danielle was so helpful! She made sure I had the right stamp that way it will be hand cancelled and won’t be an issue when mailing. She was so polite and even ran to make sure my postage made it on the truck for the day! I can’t thank her enough! She saved me HOURS of my time and HOURS of my hard work! I will definitely be coming back to Oakdale post office to send out my wedding invites! :)”
“This is my hometown. This is the eagle as we call it. Flaps its wings on the hour. It hasn't worked and I don't even know how long like 40 years? I can't remember the last time it flapped I think it was in the '80s sometimes and it wouldn't even flap on the right time at all or even consistently during the day night or whatever.
So they just fixed it. It's all beautiful and I wanted to go down and take some pictures of it and just be in that space again.
It's such a beautiful post office. Probably one of the nicest ones on the island for sure. Especially with its unique eagle.
You did such a good job restoring it It is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't even see it in the best of light but it is magnificent.

“Every time I go in there they workers are having a party, swinging from the lamps, dancing, blaring the music, drinking cocktails. I think I smell weed sometimes too. I usually hang out for a couple of songs and then leave buzzed, I usually forget to mail my letters LOL. Did anyone ever play that game with with the postage scale they are always playing? SO FUN!”

“So although I couldn't put my passport in the mail today here is why I gave 5 stars. The phone system said the bellport post office has a walk in from 8 to 9 for passport applications. This is no longer true. However when I spoke to Ana she was so kind and so helpful. She tried to help me anyway she could, gave me all the necessary info and envelope I need to get it done but they were out of money orders so I have to mail from a different post office. Ana's effort, kindness and helpfulness is what earned the 5 stars. I'm still bummed I couldn't complete my task but thanks to Ana I know I can get it done right later today. Grateful for people like Ana! ❤️”
“This is the best post office in my area. Any time I use this post office to send a pkg or letter it gets sent out very quickly and tracks immediately. The people who work there are very polite and helpful. I will not use any other post office for my mail needs.”
“Postal workers here have always been polite and helpful; however, Jesse deserves special mention:
We were expecting a shipment of live chicks. Tracking the shipment, we discovered that it had been delayed at Jamaica and was scheduled to be delivered the following day instead -- Obviously not great for live baby birds.
Jesse helped investigate -- and when they arrived later in the day, he drove them over to our house personally to deliver them!
(FYI, for those who don't raise chickens and wonder how they can survive the trip: Before they hatch, chickens absorb the remains of the yolk inside the egg and use it for nutrition/hydration over the first two or three days. A heat pack is added to the box to help them stay warm, and obviously there is special care in handling and delivery.)”

I don't know English very well and despite this, they solve all my needs and problems. I don't write that sharing names is prohibited, but I thank the entire team individually. I got help translating. I hope everything I wrote is understood.”

“My first visit here was a good one, and when I have a good experience I like to let others know. Especially when most visits to USPS locations are usually not the most pleasant. Not this day at this location though! So let's celebrate, I was in and out in a couple minutes. The lonely gentlemen behind the counter just received a huge order from the customer before but it didn't take long at all(a minute most) and he was helping me with my few pieces of mail and off I went. Very nice...I hope you have a similar experience!”

“Came here to mail out a package on a Saturday right before closing when all other post offices were already closed. Within minutes from closing, Jake was super friendly and helpful and did not appear rushed or agitated. He greeted everyone with a nice smile and even made some lighthearted jokes. Thank you Jake for brightening my day as I’m sure the same went for the other customers you had ahead of me.”
“I don’t think it’s fair that no one has ever taken the time to review the counter service at our local Post Office. I am there on a regular basis, as I run on online yarn business. I am always met with polite, professional, service! Even during the stressful holiday period. We live in a time when everyone is quick to complain. I want the Post Master to know that I never see sending my packages as a chore, and that’s because of the staff working there. Kudos??!”

“They helped me even when it was technically closing time. The lady behind the counter was great and quick. I will say they lock the door behind you if it's the actual time they close but as long as you make inside they will help you before they close.”
