Scribner's Catskill Lodge offers a mix of experiences for guests looking to enjoy the beauty of the Catskills. The lodge features spacious and comfortable rooms, some with terraces that provide stunning views of Hunter Mountain, though overgrown bushes can obstruct these vistas. The staff is generally friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests noted issues such as sparse room decor, thin walls, and limited dining options. The restaurant has received mixed reviews; while the presentation of food is praised, the menu is described as limited, and service can be slow. Guests appreciated the lodge's pet-friendly policies, allowing them to travel with their dogs and enjoy the area's outdoor activities. Amenities include a library area for relaxation, a swimming pool, and a sauna, although some found the pool deck less inviting. Overall, while Scribner's Catskill Lodge has its shortcomings, including a few service hiccups and decor concerns, many guests enjoyed their stay and appreciated the lodge's charm and setting. With some areas for improvement, it remains a lovely place to unwind and connect with nature in the Catskills.
Lovely views, friendly and professional service. Dinner was excellent, came back for breakfast. Dog friendly. Top spot for a quiet weekend getaway. If not married already, would say it is also a great option for a wedding with mountain views.

The hotel is nice and cozy. But the rooms are a bit outdated, the water pressure is very weak. No major issues, I just expected better for >$600 per night. It’s a lot to pay for a relatively standard hotel.
