Truck Rental in Huntington Station, NY

“Rented a 6x12 trailer in Huntington Station, NY. Before I left I made note about the fender damage in the photos. What I didn't know before I left on my 400 mile trip to Virginia was how bad it was (held together with bungie cord) and had 2 balding tires. I wanted to return it to a local dealer but Uhaul insisted I call roadside service after numerous long wait times with CS and hang ups with regional pricing offices. Although I didn't like the arrangement Jeffrey Williams the roadside assistance fella was great and the tire bill came to $257. But nothing was offered as an alternative or compensation for my troubles. I reached out to the President, Ed Shoen, no response. Public relations was no better. I have rented many a time a trailer from them. I was going to rent another next month. This may be my last.

Update 7/20: Umika Austin the GM called me and apologized. Almost gave me a full refund for my troubles. I did put in another reservation for a 5x8 trailer for August. She did the right thing. Thank you!”

“We reserved a Van for the weekend. "Jeannette" took our information.. she was very helpful and informative . We picked up the rental early(7am)The van was impeccable. Drove smooth.. (only draw back , the back up camera located on the rear view mirror is not accurate at all..DONOT rely on it when backing up..), the van Fit all the things we needed. The return of the vehicle was flawless.. our move was stress free, and no hidden costs as is the case with moving companies!Thank you U-Haul”
