“I went into this Dollar General last night 3/18/23 and I was so pleasantly surprised! In the past when we’ve gone in there you can barely get down any of the isles because there is so much merchandise that needed to be put away, clearly they were shorthanded and the manager didn’t care. The gentleman who was the manager was usually either just hiding in the back or outside having a cigarette. Last night there was a woman there working racing around putting things away and straightening up the shelves. I knew this newly organized store was all thanks to her. The gentleman manager was still at the front checking people out but I hope that she is the new manager because she has clearly turned the store around! Thank you for working hard to make our shopping experience better!”

“Trader Joe's has wonderful frozen Indian food! It has frozen food from other countries, but I don't eat out, so the convenience of eating Indian food at home was a super find.”

“One of my passions is supporting local mom and pop businesses. They get 5 stars for supplying a large variety of gourmet specialty foods, seasonings, sauces, vinegars, pastas, and store made breads, etc. They also carry pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, utensils, dishes, pizza making hardware, to name a few. The staff were friendly and attentive. They get an overall rating of 4, due to having a high price point. I also unfortunately saw some expired expiration dates on some of the foods they were selling. I purchased grated Parmesan cheese and fresh ricotta, but the containers didn’t have a packaged date on them. I asked the young lady at the checkout and she said they are good for about a week.”
“Jay is an amazing cook. His halal food is special and I urge everyone to at least give him a try. I get the barbecue chicken spicy, with rice, white sauce, and salad. Every time I think I’m going to save some, I can’t. Also, the portions are hearty. Give Jay a try at Henry’s. Thank you, Jay! Your food is delicious!”

“Hired Lipman's to cater a few Kosher meals for my otherwise not kosher wedding and they were great! My guests loved it, and they were also able to accommodate my guest's other dietary needs in addition to kosher. They coordinated with the venue and made sure everything was where it needed to be. So thankful to have a great kosher option in town!”

“We live in the country, outside of Canandaigua, so going into the inner city was a little intimidating. This attitude was silly. Just silly. This place is GREAT. We loved our experience and will gladly go again, the next time we need really high quality cuts of meat. The staff was so helpful, and the available choices are better than anything we can get in Ontario county.”

“I am pretty much a straight up ALDI shopper.. the staff will know if they have an item again if it’s not there today, comeback later or if it’s a once in while item they will tell you. Prices are much, much easier on our grocery bill so sometimes we can splurge here and there! The ‘Aisle of Shame’ yielded solid deals on items we needed to take back to Rochester!All in if you have ever shopped TJ’s you can spot gourmet products in the aisles at ALDI but I don’t feel like someone is charging me an arm AND a leg like I used to at the family W—man’s stores.. Shopping is much more of a pleasure than a chore at ALDI ?”
“There's a huge Christmas village & train set running in December that's fun to watch, folks are typically helpful, you can get firewood, produce, beer, and local made items year round. The firewood is not always properly cured, though as good as wegmans & probably better priced.”

“I've been going to Olindo's since I was a kid and have continued to shop there as an adult. It is a treasure trove of Italian goodies. They carry all sorts of shapes of pasta, and a great selection of meats & cheeses. Going to Olindo's is a must go stop before heading out of town to visit family that has lived in Rochester to stock up on things they can't find where they are, and a destination when they come to visit.”
“Stopped by this past weekend with my wife. Take the owner's word on the salmon! It was a very pleasant experience and I do plan on visiting again in the future. I also enjoyed the pickles that they offered as well.”

“I'm glad to have this store in my neighborhood! Without them, we'd have a food desert. Yes, the prices are (sometimes significantly) higher than Wegmans, however it's in line with what's to be expected for the convenience of not having to take 2 busses to Wegmans or Walmart.”
