“I went into this Dollar General last night 3/18/23 and I was so pleasantly surprised! In the past when we’ve gone in there you can barely get down any of the isles because there is so much merchandise that needed to be put away, clearly they were shorthanded and the manager didn’t care. The gentleman who was the manager was usually either just hiding in the back or outside having a cigarette. Last night there was a woman there working racing around putting things away and straightening up the shelves. I knew this newly organized store was all thanks to her. The gentleman manager was still at the front checking people out but I hope that she is the new manager because she has clearly turned the store around! Thank you for working hard to make our shopping experience better!”

“1,000,000/ 10. Probably the best “corner store” eats in the 585 no funny. The food so good I forget they got a handful of snacks and beverages cause there also a convenience store. I’ve had the Swiss and mushroom cheeseburger with fries when I came the first time and to be completely honest, lowkey the best burger in Rochester that i’ve ever had. The fires are so crispy and flavorful within themselves that they compliment the meal so wonderfully. Of course I had to come again, and when I did I got the Upstate Fabulous Stinger Sub and I added extra veggies on mine cause that’s how I like it, but if you ask me, the food is perfectly fine and tasty how it comes on the menu, the fact I can add extra toppings and sauces is such a plus. I’m currently back for the 3rd time and I’m ordering the same sub with the smash burger this time and I’ll leave and update soon about the smash burger. So far though, it’s been a pleasure to have such a store with such delicious food, with a diverse menu to choose from, (that there currently expanding on) right in the Dewey neighborhood. I promise they won’t disappoint you.”
“Trader Joe's has wonderful frozen Indian food! It has frozen food from other countries, but I don't eat out, so the convenience of eating Indian food at home was a super find.”

“I’ve been really happy shopping at Aldi. Their prices are consistently lower than most other grocery stores, which makes a big difference for our budget.
I also really appreciate that Aldi’s store-brand products don’t contain artificial colors—it’s something I actively look for, and it’s nice not having to double-check every label.
Overall, it’s an easy, affordable place to shop without feeling like I’m sacrificing quality.”
“One of our favorite places to stop for a quick bite. Staff and owner Jay is always friendly and makes one of the best gyros and over-the-rice boxes (even though they have a variety of selections, that I still have not yet tried). One of the best conscience stores and hidden gems around Rochester.”
“I love this store. In the food area, they have everything from homemade sauce to dozens of kinds of pasta, cheeses, meats and a variety of breads. Need olive oil? Mary will walk you through a tasting to find the perfect one. Oh and after dinner coffee? Anthony has you hooked up with a variety of coffee and espresso makers from simple “pots” to “push a button get your latte or cappuccino” He will walk you though the choices and help you find the best one for you. Once you have that, you can also pick up your coffee.
I haven’t even covered the rest of the store which includes cooking items, specialty items and a large selection of dishes.
If you were having dinner guests and had an empty apartment, you could go in to Lombardi’s and get everything you needed from plates and cookware to an amazing dinner starting with appetizers and ending with coffee or tea and after dinner mints.
Anthony and Mary are delightful and the entire staff is very helpful.

“Hired Lipman's to cater a few Kosher meals for my otherwise not kosher wedding and they were great! My guests loved it, and they were also able to accommodate my guest's other dietary needs in addition to kosher. They coordinated with the venue and made sure everything was where it needed to be. So thankful to have a great kosher option in town!”
“We live in the country, outside of Canandaigua, so going into the inner city was a little intimidating. This attitude was silly. Just silly. This place is GREAT. We loved our experience and will gladly go again, the next time we need really high quality cuts of meat. The staff was so helpful, and the available choices are better than anything we can get in Ontario county.”

“Aldi has great prices on most items. Do check prices against other grocery stores. My husband used our Wegmans app to compare cost of yogurt, Aldi's was cheaper.”
“Abundance always has the staples and special ingredients I need. If I can't find items in store, the email system to place special orders is great, I can get pricing on products I can't find elsewhere in bulk. They use most of the same distributord as Loris so they can get pretty much anything I can't find anymore at other stores. Plus, the community events, like fiber craft groups, are fun and usually free!”

“There's a huge Christmas village & train set running in December that's fun to watch, folks are typically helpful, you can get firewood, produce, beer, and local made items year round. The firewood is not always properly cured, though as good as wegmans & probably better priced.”

“I am pretty much a straight up ALDI shopper.. the staff will know if they have an item again if it’s not there today, comeback later or if it’s a once in while item they will tell you. Prices are much, much easier on our grocery bill so sometimes we can splurge here and there! The ‘Aisle of Shame’ yielded solid deals on items we needed to take back to Rochester!All in if you have ever shopped TJ’s you can spot gourmet products in the aisles at ALDI but I don’t feel like someone is charging me an arm AND a leg like I used to at the family W—man’s stores.. Shopping is much more of a pleasure than a chore at ALDI ?”

“this place is so amazing and the guy who works here is sweet! im a total buns of a customer for not asking his name, but we were there browsing for a while, spent 55$ and he was very helpful when I was trying to find a specific product, even though he didn't have it he recommended another and even took pictures of the exact paste I was interested in, they sell soybean pastes here which is awesome for miso soups but I really want to make homemade jajangmyeon and need fermented black bean paste for it, I really hope to see it the next time I visit and hopefully the saucy noodles I mentioned!! we obviously love noodles especially anything trending since we're younger so I hope the noodle selection grows”

“Halal Market & Meats is a great place to find fresh and high-quality halal products. The meat selection was impressive, and everything looked fresh and well-handled. “Ome of my most favorite international grocery stores. One of my favorite drinks there is to get the lychee juice in the liter or 1.5 liter bottle? I kind of forgot the size since then. But, if you're wanting to have a fun day of shopping, I'd say go here! They sell Kulfi in the freezer by the front as well, it's pretty good! My favorite is the Mango kind.”
“Good people work at this store. The cook they have now is pretty good at making subs. Recently they opened up a smoke shop in there, and they have a nice selection of vapes and cbd. You should def come check this out if you're in the store”
