“I always find something special when I come here!! Truly lovely, curated selection of good quality clothes (really love the diverse sizing) and home ware. Staff is very kind and helpful.”

“The best jean buying experience ever! I didn’t catch my sales associates name, but she was great, and helped me find the perfect pair. It was a really collaborative process, and made shopping fun. If you visit, I 100% recommend doing an appointment as opposed to just browsing. It’s worth the money and a bit of extra time. I will be buying all my jeans here!”
“Life Boutique is such a gem in Park Slope! The best selection by far in the neighborhood. They have a lot to offer and the team is so helpful and accommodating. They helped me find the perfect sunglasses for my Halloween costume by sifting through some backstock. I’ll be back for sure.”
“I went here a couple times, and the staff had always been extremely sweet. They always have unique pieces that go well with everyday wear. I absolutely love this store and all the vibes. It is also VERY affordable, an absolute gem. Will definitely come back every chance I get!!”
“These guys genuinely know vintage. They lived it and understand the backstory of every piece in their store.
In an industry of fast fashion and clout chasing, this spot is the opposite. Go in and talk with them. Super kind, approachable and knowledgeable. That’s rare.
Store is a thoughtfully curated selection of items with zero judgment or pressure towards consumers. Great place to browse, reminisce and find the right nostalgic item.”
“They really have lots of stuff to choose from. Trendy store fashions like Zara and the like priced to sell approx $10+, and new items from brands like St Johns $80+.
Everyone can find something here if your willing to look. Cash only, really friendly staff.”

“We only had a couple minutes, but this place is so well curated that it didn't matter! Scored a fantastic Isaac Mizrahi coat for my son and a sweet black United Colors of Benetton sweatshirt just as they were closing!”
“As NY as it gets! A joyful experience. Staff is super friendly and relax, the stuff available there is quite interesting, of very good quality and prices are spectacular . When we visited, Robert was playing the piano and singing. The cold and rainy day turned in to happiest (¿hippiest?) shopping experience. If I lived in NY I would definitely buy my furniture there!”
“Been thrift shopping for many years. Dropped in to this thrift store on Crescent street. A lot of great items, vintage clothing and jewelry. The owner is exquisite, great personality and very welcoming. Must visit.”
“So happy to have an opportunity to visit this treasure trove of discarded materials.Thank you to the organizers, staff, and donors for creating this valuable program in our city.”
“I stumbled upon the Upper East Side Thrift Shop recently and was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of items at fantastic prices. It felt like discovering a hidden gem with each aisle I explored. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you're in the area, be sure to check out both locations on 1st Ave and 87th Street, as well as 2nd Ave and 89th Street. Support this local business, you never know what treasures you might find!”

“10/10 experience. I’ve never shopped for clothes for myself before and had a lot of anxiety going in. Leo was super helpful, knowledgeable, kind, patient, and understanding. He’s super chill and instantly knew which clothes would fit the aesthetic I wanted to go for. If you go to this place and Leo is there, you won’t be disappointed. Trust me. Thank you Leo. Hope to see you again!”
“I discovered this shop in the East Village and I love shopping the curated beautiful items they have. It’s now my favorite place to visit and the owner and staff are so helpful ❤️”
“Great thrifting place; separated into categories and great prices !! You can get pretty nice things from 6USD :)
Don’t forget to bring your own bag, or buy one of theirs at the register for 2USD !”
“Cute local shop with the friendliest service and good collections of stuff. First time there and I found a few items immediately! I'll be going back constantly for new additions.”

“Walked past it and had to go in. Some beautifully curated items in there. My word of advice, go to the back room and search for the hidden gems. Found a vintage coach devon bag in a beautiful color in gorgeous condition. Price was reasonable, as it is vintage luxury. The owners were so so sweet and kind, if I ever come back to New York I know the first place I’m going to.”
“I absolutely love this store. I recently started learning how to sew, so I decided to buy a few different blouses and dresses because I want to redesign them to my liking. However, I didn’t wanna spend a lot of money so I went to two different thrift stores in New York City and it just so happens that I came across this one and I love the store because all of the clothing is so inexpensive thank you so much and the kindness is really nice and the sore too.”
“Definitely a gem. Everyone who was working there was super friendly and the prices were great, especially on the furniture. Well organized and clean. Wish the clothing was organized by size instead of color, but that’s a small quibble. If you are in the area, highly recommend you stop by.”

“Well, for $120 my daughter and girlfriend got a black skirt, a pair of silver high heels, a fluffy red jacket, a sequined black party dress, and a red sport coat. They loved it. Like any other used clothing store you have to hunt and search.”
“Saw this gem while on my walk and it definitely wasn’t a regret stop. The owner Natalia is the kindest person you’ll meet. I do think the prices are a bit high for used items but I will definitely remember the nice conversation and come back to donate!”
“It's a gem in Queens this store. Quality items to purchase but at affordable prices. I found two modern living room chairs for under $200 in excellent condition.
If you are redoing your home decor or just setting up a new place stop by this store to get some incredible finds. Also, check their website for online shopping.
Staff was friendly and helpful too.”
“Extremely reasonable prices on good quality high end pieces. In a world where the vintage clothing industry has become pretentious, this store is a breath of fresh air and Tony the owner couldn’t be nicer!”

“When we moved to a smaller apartment, I started looking for places to donate a lot of goods. The Big Reuse was so much fun to walk around! My middle schooler had tagged along to a bunch of shops, wanting to see weird things, and that never happened until we hit Big Reuse. So many ideas for what could become props and set pieces. I look forward to visiting again”
“Filled to the BRIM with beautiful and vintage pieces. Owners are so nice. Items are also very affordable. It's packed, so whatever you're looking for, you can find almost everything here. Not even just clothes, so much more. I personally love fashion and thrifting, and this is my new FAVORITE store. I was so, so satisfied. Going to shop here for the rest of my life. Found out about this place because I saw it while walking down Cedar Lane. Thank God I did!”
“Very good prices! Maybe I just have cheap taste but most things I got were only $6-8 each. I was mainly shopping for shirts.
If you want to look like a cross between Tony Soprano and Kramer (you know you want to!) then this is a good place to start.”
“Great selection and even better people! I got two large bags of items for $100. The staff was helpful in directing me to items I was looking for. Everything was fairly priced. Better quality than other secondhand stores as Alan doesn't rely on donations and can choose the kind of items that come into the store, meaning you'll probably always be able to find what you need. I will be back!”
“Been living in East Harlem for a year and this is easily my favorite thrift store. We’ve gotten so many items for our apartment at great prices. Additionally, the people working have always been kind and helpful.”
“One of my favorite weekend drop-ins. I can go in to chat with the friendly staff and end up finding incredible secondhand outfits for my niece & nephew, plus some cute accessories for myself. Always a great experience. The looks are iconic!”
“I love this shop! Def not to be missed! Tucked in amongst LOTS of Latin food cafes, food trucks, and bakeries, and very lively streets selling just about everything, sits a not so little, not so hidden absolute gem! Aforementioned venues are surely worth the visit to Jackson Heights, but I couldn’t feel more blessed to find El Baratón across the street from our building… it has made getting dressed in lazy mornings so much easier to do when that “1 item” has gone missing, I know I can pop in for a thrifty scarf or a new Zara blazer, or top label 2ndhand staple jeans and tees… or a quirky fur (faux for sure) jacket. Racks of sneakers and flats and boots in great condition- my only 1 complaint- ? they tend to suit smaller sized feet than my average 8’s. Because they are cute. As are the staff and owner, always helpful and the curator/gm/owner- always a doll with stories and style, if you just want to chat! Kids and mens’ stuff too!”
