“Before the Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Mega Stop & Shops ruled NYC, neighborhoods were filled with supermarkets just like these. Yes, they were/are small with cramped aisles but have everything for your basic supermarket needs. Sure, there may have expired goods on the shelves but what market doesn't? You don't come here for grass-fed beef, Greek yogurt or artisanal cheeses, but the produce and meat section here cannot be beat compared to nearby places. The produce variety isn't the greatest but what is offered here is always fresh and abundant - with fresh herbs all year long such as basil, tarragon, and mint, a variety of lettuces, radishes, watercress, and your basic fruit options such as apples and bananas. This place is great if you're in the mood for Hispanic goods such as both fresh and dried hot peppers, avocados, tomatillos, sour oranges, chayote, Mexican cheeses, tortillas, and chorizo. The meat is fresh and abundant. Pork butt at $1 a pound can feed me for a week. Half pound packages of skirt steak - sure! Goat meat for that adventurous braise? Yes, please! Buying meat here puts me at ease since the turnover is quite high and there are always freshly wrapped packages being stocked daily. Met food is the best option in the neighborhood when your choices are mystery grey meat selling Key Food or expensive Stop & Shop on the other side of town. It's not necessarily a consolation for the lack of choices, nor is it one of the cooler supermarkets but a good well-stocked place for one's basic everyday cooking needs.”

“Pretty good selection of hot and cold sandwiches. I got the chopped cheese hero sandwich with onion and peppers. It was actually really good. Later on in the evening i got the buffalo chicken sandwich which was also good but not as good as the first. They also have wings, fries, etc. the best part tho is everything is cheap. My sandwich was only $5 for a sub that taste better than subway. Can't beat that! Overall just your average corner store though, nothing special, just good.”

“Not bad. I stop here exclusively for e85 and I've only been here 3 times. Its pretty easy to get to and convenient especially if you're traveling on the Belt. They have plenty of pumps and the place is well lit. I see some reviews saying the pumps are slow but all times I've gone there the e85 pumps work normal so that's good. As of Dec 2023 they do same price cash or credit which surprised me honestly and the price of e85 is 2.99 which is a hair on the high side but not too bad”

“I was in here a few weeks ago needling a few things that are cheaper here than in my area. i picked up mouthwash, allergy medication and nuts. I needed to get an employee to unlock the case where the allergy medication was. The line was long but moved quickly. i was asked if I had a reward card. I don't have my card so I entered my phone number. My items were rung up. I paid with a credit card. Got my printed receipt.”

“Great deli , great staff very inviting and friendly people. Great service, always satisfied with my sandwiches/food or whatever I come here to get. They are open until 2am which is super convenient as everything else is usually closed. I wish they had a better variety of chips and other snacks but the drink selection is crazy plenty of different soda and juice drinks/brands and flavors to choose from.”

“I have had many days where I was unsure where to send medication when most of the pharmacist where closed but this location is great especially since they are open 24/7. They are quick with great service and are helpful. They also sell Krispy Cream donuts in the store and they are usually fresh.”

“This is a go to cvs for a few reasons. They have a nice baby selection.That works for me because if my 9 month old son needs something really fast, this store works for me.baby tylenol, or pacifiers, teething rings etc.This is a good in & out store with really not to many people in it the staff there has been friendly and courteous.It is also in a ideal location on Merrick and Linden blvd across the street from st albans park.”
