“Good sales on good quality fruits and vegetables! Staff are super nice. A lot of the basics and shelved food (soups, pastas, sauces, etc.) is more expensive than nearby supermarkets. But the fruits and veggies are often comparable prices or on sale. I've only shopped here a handful of times so far and I've only seen fresh produce.Bring your own bag because they don't sell cheap 10¢ ones here since plastic bags got banned in NYC a bit ago. The one worker was nice enough to give me a bag the first time I was there, but I think only because she had some leftover from before the plastic bag ban. I didn't bring a bag with me because I wasn't expecting to buy as much stuff as I did, so I was grateful she had extras.”

“Been going here for years, they been around over 18 years. The family is very nice. They have a huge bottled drink and beer section ( which lot of locals go there for ). Everything is very reasonably priced. This is one of the oldest stores in this neighborhood, it's just a fast paced, basic convenient store. I think they sell cold cut sandwiches also.”

“Good deli this spot has been up on hillside Ave for decades. I have stop in there numerous times over the years for soda's and snacks etc.I even brought a pair of head phones from this deli.I have to admit I never tried there sandwiches or hot food. But I will give yall a update review on the food.I also use to take the F train local that's literally right out side of the deli. The subway is attached to the deli ,cool for any one coming home from work or going to work via the F train .you can get some breakfast ,lunch or dinner right in side this deli.Thats one of the reasons this deli separates its self from other dell's besides the food.A little trivia don't forget Donald Trump former president, us to live across the street in Jamaica estates.”

“Before the Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Mega Stop & Shops ruled NYC, neighborhoods were filled with supermarkets just like these. Yes, they were/are small with cramped aisles but have everything for your basic supermarket needs. Sure, there may have expired goods on the shelves but what market doesn't? You don't come here for grass-fed beef, Greek yogurt or artisanal cheeses, but the produce and meat section here cannot be beat compared to nearby places. The produce variety isn't the greatest but what is offered here is always fresh and abundant - with fresh herbs all year long such as basil, tarragon, and mint, a variety of lettuces, radishes, watercress, and your basic fruit options such as apples and bananas. This place is great if you're in the mood for Hispanic goods such as both fresh and dried hot peppers, avocados, tomatillos, sour oranges, chayote, Mexican cheeses, tortillas, and chorizo. The meat is fresh and abundant. Pork butt at $1 a pound can feed me for a week. Half pound packages of skirt steak - sure! Goat meat for that adventurous braise? Yes, please! Buying meat here puts me at ease since the turnover is quite high and there are always freshly wrapped packages being stocked daily. Met food is the best option in the neighborhood when your choices are mystery grey meat selling Key Food or expensive Stop & Shop on the other side of town. It's not necessarily a consolation for the lack of choices, nor is it one of the cooler supermarkets but a good well-stocked place for one's basic everyday cooking needs.”

“Since it opened years ago, Caribbean Grocery and Fish Market have been my daughter's favorite convenient store. My family visits this store at least once per week. We enjoy the friendly, welcoming atmosphere and quality products at excellent prices. I encourage all my friends and family to visit, and they enjoy the service and value of the product. The best Caribbean grocery and fish market in Queens.”

“I miss this place so much. Haven't been to Jamaica in almost 18 years. Used to go here for beef patties and Carib/Presidente/OE. Run by really cool Arab guys back then. As soon as I can get back to NY I have to hit this place up for the memories.”

“Friendly family-owned business who are very courteous and were available throughout the pandemic this year. Because I limited my movements to within the neighborhood, I am grateful that their business was open and I buy my essentials including coconut water, toilet tissue, paper towels, chips, oranges, pasta, frozen vegetables, etc. Thank you Soribel Fruit & Grocery. Wishing your family continued success! Best, "Nefertiti"”

“I'm Rick Harrison, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I've learned after 21 years - you never know what is gonna come through that door.”

“Tiny store where you can kill time in the mornings. A lot of variety in merchandise but the hot chocolate could have been better. Just my thought. At least they did have 100 Grand bars, which makes me happy.”
