“Gibbers Grocery is one of those classic Catskills heimishe grocery spots that people in the area know they can rely on when they need something quickly.
The store itself is simple and straightforward, but it’s stocked with a surprising variety of everyday essentials. From basic groceries to household items, snacks, and cooking supplies, it’s the kind of place where you can run in for one item and end up finding several other things you needed.
What people appreciate most about Gibbers is the convenience factor. If you’re staying in the South Fallsburg area, it’s often much easier to stop here than to drive farther out to a larger supermarket. That alone makes it a very practical place to have nearby.
There’s also a very local, friendly atmosphere. It feels like a neighborhood grocery where people from the community come in regularly, and it has that familiar Catskills vibe where you often run into people you know while walking through the aisles.
Even though it’s not a huge supermarket, the store manages to carry a solid mix of groceries and essentials, which is exactly what people need when they’re spending time in the bungalow colonies and camps nearby.
Overall, Gibbers Grocery is a reliable local stop — convenient, practical, and an important part of the South Fallsburg area for quick grocery runs and everyday necessities.”

“Monticello Green Market is a great spot that I visit often for lunch. Their sushi, ramen, and dumplings are always fresh and delicious—consistently high quality every time.

The owners are very friendly and respectful, which makes the experience even better.
Well done, highly recommended”

“Let me tell you, walking into Buy Rite is mamish like walking into a heimish version of Costco — just without the chazer treif samples, kein ayin hara. You come in “just for milk and eggs,” and by the time you leave, your wagon is so full you’re wondering if maybe you should open your own grocery store in the bungalow colony.
They’ve mamish got everything. Cholov Yisroel? Of course. Mehadrin this, glatt that — you practically feel like you’re shopping l’chatchila even when you’re in a rush and totally shvitzing. The sushi counter? Let’s just say it’s become a real yetzer hara. You think you’re going to be a shtikel frugal this week, and suddenly you’re walking out with a spicy tuna roll “for the car ride.” Happens to the best of us.
The bakery section smells like Gan Eden — fresh challos, kokosh, rugelach — you name it. You come in with a shopping list your wife wrote, and suddenly you’re explaining why you “had” to buy three different cakes. “They were on sale!” becomes the official nusach of Shalom Bayis.
The prices are pretty geshmak for the area, and the sales are the real deal — not stam “save 3 cents if you buy 97 packages.” And the shelves? Always full, kein ayin hara. You don’t get that nervous Erev Shabbos feeling of “will there be any chickpeas left for the cholent?” Baruch Hashem, Buy Rite delivers.
The staff is friendly and patient, even when it’s Erev Yom Tov and every Yid from here to Monsey decided today is the day to do a full cart shop. They answer questions, help you find things, and somehow don’t run away when you ask where the very specific brand of baby wipes is that your kid will accept and no other.
Whether you’re up here for the summer, for bein hazmanim, or you’re a year-rounder, Buy Rite is a huge bracha. It’s glatt, it’s heimish, it’s organized, and it’s the kind of place where you bump into five people you know before you even reach the produce.
In short — a gevaldig place to stock up the pantry, the freezer, and maybe also your simcha level a drop. Highly recommended for the klal, b’simcha u’betuv levav 😊”

“Landau’s Supermarket is one of the central hubs of the Woodridge summer scene. If you spend any time in the Catskills during the season, chances are you’ll end up here more than once.
The store is large, well-stocked, and clearly designed with the kosher community in mind. From basic groceries to specialty kosher products, the selection is impressive. Whether someone is doing a full shopping trip or just running in for a few last-minute items, it’s very easy to find what you need.
One thing that really stands out is the variety. The aisles are packed with everything from pantry staples to snacks, drinks, and specialty foods that people specifically look for during the summer months. The candy and snack sections alone are enough to make kids (and plenty of adults) very happy.
Another big plus is that Landau’s tends to carry many items that are harder to find in smaller stores upstate, which makes it a convenient place for people who are staying in bungalow colonies or camps nearby.
During peak summer season the place can get very lively and busy, especially before Shabbos when everyone is doing their shopping at the same time. Despite that, the store usually runs efficiently and keeps things moving.
The overall atmosphere feels very much like a community supermarket, where people bump into neighbors, friends, and half the Catskills crowd while doing their shopping.
Overall, Landau’s Supermarket is a major convenience for the Woodridge area — a large, well-stocked kosher grocery store that makes it easy for the summer community to get everything they need in one stop.”

“I go to this store when I need certain ingredients that my local supermarket doesn't sell. The store is very small. Ive always had a good experience here. Prices are same as everywhere else. It's a family supermarket. The main thing I buy here is culantro and cilantro to make my homemade sofrito.”

“Kudos to Elizabeth and Tyler at the Rock Hill Dollar General. I had a small parking lot incident, and they were very alert and aware of what was happening, both inside and outside the store. I appreciated how attentive and responsible they were. Great employees.”

“Nice, clean, and friendly! I used this place all summer and was very impressed. It's a very clean and welcoming hotel with friendly service. I love their apple juice — I bought tons of it because my kids drink it like water! They also have a cold chocolate milk drink that tastes really good. I even came at 5 a.m. and they were already open. Great experience every time!”

“Woodridge Supermarket is one of those classic Catskills small-town grocery stores that every summer community ends up relying on at some point.
From the outside it looks pretty simple, but once you walk in you realize the place is actually packed with a little bit of everything. Groceries, snacks, basic household items, hardware supplies, and all the random things people suddenly realize they need when they’re upstate.
During the summer months, when Woodridge fills up with people from the city, this place becomes a real lifesaver. You’ll see people running in for last-minute Shabbos items, drinks for a BBQ, snacks for the kids, or just that one ingredient someone forgot while cooking.
The aisles are stocked with a wide mix of everyday necessities, and you’ll often find items that you wouldn’t expect a small store to carry. It’s the kind of place where even if you came in for one thing, you end up remembering three other things you needed.
There’s also a very local, friendly atmosphere. It’s not a giant chain supermarket where nobody knows anyone — it feels more like the type of place that serves the whole neighborhood and the seasonal community.
Another big advantage is convenience. When you’re in Woodridge and need something quickly, it’s much easier to stop here than to drive out to a larger supermarket further away.
Overall, Woodridge Supermarket is a very practical and reliable local store. It may not be the biggest supermarket around, but it fills an important role in the area and consistently comes through when people need something quickly.
A solid local spot that many people in the Woodridge area end up visiting again and again.”

“This place is great, folks are nice and prescriptions done within 20 minutes… and the line usually isn’t very long. Sure beats the throngs at Walmart across the way and also Walgreens (old Rite Aid) at the other end of town. This is my go to for my prescriptions! ?”

“2026 it's a convenience grocery store and more. Being a convenience store some things are a little more money than a regular grocery store. This is closer to my house and I can grab things on my way home. It has hardware, home goods and gardening items, paint and yard spray, snacks and frozen foods...a little of everything, so convenient and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
I rarely have a problem with food freshness.
I especially like the fresh and local double yolk eggs. They also carry the organic milk that I like, so convenient. If you have the time look around they have some interesting odds and ends.”

“A good store with a large selection. Don't expect affordable costs compared to a Super Market. But what they offer in quick shopping and a time crunch are unmatched. The store can be a bit messy at times, which is always a shame. But if you shop smart you can definitely score some affordable deals. Always a pleasure to deal with the staff.”

“We got some great deals here today. The cashier (a young black male) was super friendly and helpful. The store was a bit messy and there were some flies inside but aside from that, I was very pleased with the visit.”
