The Best Western of Lake George is a decent hotel, though guests have experienced some issues during their stays. Upon arrival, some guests encountered long lines at check-in with no staff present, leading to delays of up to 25 minutes. While the staff were described as friendly and helpful in easing tensions, there were reports of rooms not being cleaned in a timely manner, even after multiple requests. The standard rooms were satisfactory, with comfortable beds, though they lacked amenities like microwaves. Breakfast options were described as "okay" but limited. One guest had trouble with their room key card not working, and the hotel incorrectly thought they were checking out after two nights instead of three. On a positive note, the pool was described as nice and relaxing, and the breakfast staff were very helpful and pleasant. However, some guests experienced issues with the room conditions, such as an old and squeaky bed that caused back pain, and high humidity that made their clothes feel damp. The location of the hotel, right off a highway exit, was also noted as inconvenient and even "scary" when trying to access the parking lot. Overall, while the staff received praise, the hotel seems to have some consistency issues that impacted guests' experiences. Future visitors hope these problems will be addressed on return visits.
