“My niece just got married there this past weekend. Historic Castle with beautiful views. We did not stay on site. The wedding party stayed in the suites in the castle after the wedding and they loved it. The property is so beautiful. Especially this time of year. They had the outdoor fire place and outdoor heaters on for the chilly night. The whole entire staff was so wonderful. From the food, to the setting up and execution of the whole event. Went so smoothly!! Your Staff was very attentive and kept the appetizers, drinks and food coming. I would recommend the mashed potatoe station! That was a hit with us. Highly recommend this venue. Thank you all for a memorable day!! 10/17/2024.”
“Snafoos with our reservation. A few minor issues in the rental, but they took are of most of them pretty quickly.
In response to the owner's response, yes there was an issue as far as the taxes which I didn't really want to get into but I called earlier during the year to make my option of our down payment and gave my credit card information and the down payment was never taken which meant when it was time to finalize the payments, I ended up having to pay both our portion of the down payment and the final payment together which was unexpected and threw off our finances.
I would love to give the place a five-star review but I have to be honest. I doubt it's likely anyone will run into this issue, but it would be unfair for me too be untruthful.”

“Great stay for a snowboarding weekend while visiting Gore Mountain. Around the corner from all the amenities of Lake George and about 25 minutes away from Gore.
We got the Second Floor Suite 21 for 3 nights and it was super comfortable and spacious, with everything you would need to save money and prepare your own meals. The owners/managers are WONDERFUL and are super helpful and accommodating. You can reach them very quickly when you need something.
Overall, this was a great experience and will DEFINITELY stay here again for our next visit to Lake George or Gore Mountain.”

“This place looks exactly like the pictures. We had a wonderful time for our ladies weekend. Girls were functional and easy to use in the common area. Tables and chairs and pool area we're clean and neat. Perfectly walkable into town. Didn't have to move my car for the entire weekend!”

“The costumer service we have been experiencing during our stay has been the best we ever have. The guy has been on point when everything we need and the most friendly kind person we ever met staying somewhere. The service alone will make us come back every year. Love that it’s a family owned small business which you unfortunately don’t get that often anymore. We are leaving tomorrow and will probably even add a day to our stay to stay longer.”
“My first time at Lake George and I'm so lucky to have found Marine Village Resort. It's right on the lake, perfect location to walk around town. Great options for rooms - lake view, pool side, or neither. The desk staff is beyond compare - Mike, Joe and Matt are terrific and will make sure you are happy with your stay and with Lake George. “I honestly think some of these reviews are from people with unrealistic expectations. It's a motel...not a luxury resort. It's a little dated, but it's clean, close to town, has a nice pool, and the A/C works great. For the price, I really don't know what more people expect. I'd definitely stay here again.”

“I stayed at the Brookside motel for americade bike week. The owners could not be more accommodating. The cabin I had was clean and comfortable. Any request I had was filled quickly and happily. The whole staff was professional and courteous. I highly recommend staying at the Brookside Motel. To add, the Brook was beautiful and an awesome touch to the property.”

“Best experience I've ever had when it comes to service. From the office manager to the housekeeper. The manager was kind, patient, understanding, & all around awesome guy. The housekeeper gentleman was very nice, accommodating, & best of all took the time out of his day to play basketball with my son. He then introduced his son to mine & they had a blast at the arcade just down the road. My son made a friend & I'll always appreciate the kindness we received from The Countryside Inn.”
“I took my wife for her birthday weekend. The pool and hot tub was down getting fixed I asked for another night. They gave me another night with no problem great staff and very polite. We will definitely be coming back here”

“My hudson and I stayed here for our anniversary. In October its the off season. We loved the grounds, would be nice to try to get in here in the summer time but its always booked (maybe someday) the var was nice, cute waterfall in the building, very nice desk ladies, bar tender was nice, we liked the outside fireplace, nice indoor pool it was a little cold though, restocking towels was limited but other guests were taking them and bring them to their rooms. Our room was nice it was updated but needs some minor work. Beautiful wood flooring, 2 tvs, we had a stove, sink, fridge and microwave, all worked fine. Some of the outlets didnt work. The was a hole on the bottom of the door in the bathroom. Our first night we had AMAZING water pressure in the shower and it was hot but the second night we hardly had water pressure and it wasn't very hot. The neighbors in our hallway were terrible, kids running up and down in the hall way all day and night especially hours at 2am 4am to 5am, parents should have been mindful of others. We liked that we were close to the village, October fest was going on when we stayed there, so that was fun to check that out. We did enjoy our stay aside from some minor things we'd stay here again.”

“Our family has been coming to Lake George for three generations and we have stayed all over the lake. We discovered Stone Gate a few years back and it has been a game changer for us! The property is the only one like it anywhere around with firepits, pickleball/tennis courts, a full turf soccer field, basketball court, large clean pool and an incredible beach! We now have 5+ families coming each year and will only stay at Stone Gate. Paul and his team are top notch! They keep the property immaculate and are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests are happy. We cannot wait until next year to visit once again!”
