    “The store manager is always quick to jump behind a cash register, if he sees there are long lines! Great quality! Yesterday, I asked for my ham to be sliced very thin, in the Deli department. The man replied okay. I got home and the ham was sliced sooo thick, that I don't even want to eat it. It's way too cold to come back out and return it. A grown man should know better on what is a thick or thin slice of meat! Disappointed.”

    “Since Shelby took over this store the level of service has gone up tenfold. The lines used to be ridiculous and the staff was extremely complacent. However I must say I was in here earlier and a very unprofessional regional manager (I'm assuming) was chewing out management IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. I'm extremely disappointed by this behaviour, how she ever got to that position in retail is a mystery to me.”

Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
