“the closest thing to a green market in Queens. Fruits and vegetables and bunches of herbs locally sourced and achingly fresh and delicious. Garlic so new and flavorful that I've had to cut down in recipes. L.I. tomatoes glowing with real dirt picked fresh off the vine--no wonder they've been here fifty years and open until midnight. The beginning of fall apples waiting for pies and apple sauce. The two women who run it are sympathetic and helpful. If you can't find it, they'll know where it is. Even the potatoes taste fresh--so different from standard grocery store fare! Summer asparagus that I couldn't stop eating. And baby zuchinni and I don't like zuchinni. I am so happy. I didn't think when I moved anything could equal the Sunday market at the museum of Natural History. Elliniki more than succeeds--and its open seven days a week.”

Also, there is a way to get delivery from ALDI, and you can do so in the Bronx as far as I know here. Communication is your best friend in this online world, and ALDI is more than happy to deliver. The lady who delivered was so kind and knocked to let me know that the groceries I purchased were here by my door, earlier than the expected time. Kindness goes a long way, and though a fee is included for delivery, I don’t mind it at all.”
