“Fantastic gem of a beautiful boutique hotel! It is absolutely wonderful. Cindee and Steve are fantastic hosts - they have thought of everything! The views are phenomenal, and the spaces are beautifully decorated - the breakfast & snacks and welcome lounge space are a delightful add. I highly recommend The Fathoms Hotel.”

“Everything was great. Very helpful staff, they allowed us to leave our backpacks until the evening after leaving the hotel. Hotel in a good and safe location with good access to the city center by metro or train. Cleanliness and silence at a higher level. Chinatown, you feel like you have visited China, the atmosphere cannot be compared to Chinatown in Manhattan. I will also add that the hotel is very close to LaGuardia airport and also not far from JFK airport (20 minutes by Uber)Safety: Safe neighborhood”

“Had some trouble booking online given cost and lmitations for needing one night with family of 4 (i.e. occupancy requirements per NY law)
Gat a chance to see the place in person while visiting family here at the beach. Beautiful location, great ambiance and looks like impressive food / service.
Hopefully will get a chance to stay in the near future perhaps when booking and schedule will allow it. Would recommend a visit to the grounds at the very least.”

“We have stayed here numerous times when visiting family. Prices have gone up but the suites are just perfect for our stays. The free Buffett has gotten so much better, better quality food, better display of the food, all due to Donisha Jordan. She is organized, professional yet very personable. So nice to have met and talk to here. We also would like to shout out the young lady who made our reservation ( sorry cannot remember her name). She worked with us to secure a room in a timely manner. Marisol Umanzor was also wonderful at the front desk. We would have given this hotel 5 stars but they no longer serve bar bites which is really needed, especially if you are drinking at the bar. Overall excellent stay and excellent staff. We miss Zoe Parker the former manager there.Rooms: SpaciousNearby activities: Neighborhood not that great! Potholes everywhere leading to hotel.Food & drinks: Bar service good but bar bites needed..BRING THIS BACK!Noteworthy details: Staff is wonderful!”

“Stayed for a local family party with other family who traveled a distance. Nice hotel with clean rooms. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rented a room to host a party there the next day, which was perfect!!! Party room was situated to the outside seating area which worked well for our younger guests. Would definitely stay there again.”

The modern design combined with tasteful décor create a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts guests at ease. “It was one of the hotels offered to me through the Agoda application after a hotel 5 minutes away from Manhattan, New York was canceled. I chose it because it was close to the metro. The area is full of Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Thai style restaurants. It's totally a Chinatown. There is Mays's and a shopping mall nearby. It is very easy to reach Mangattan from the center with a metro ride of about 40 minutes. The same thing comes out for breakfast every day. We found something to fill our stomachs. Our room was cleaned every day. There is no problem other than being far from Manhattan
Nearby activities: In a neighborhood where Far Eastern cuisine dominates”
“Nice rooms in a great location close to downtown Flushing and a lot of great food places. Friendly, responsive staff. Rooms were clean and roomy. Nice large lobby for breakfast but also resting after a long day out. Convenient Airport Shuttle to LaGuardia. Ice on every other floor and a nice hot water machine in the lobby for Tea.
The complimentary breakfast is fantastic - they had typical American breakfast (eggs bacon French toast) but also congee. All of the food was cooked well and the fruit was fresh.
Gym has everything you need to get a quick workout in. Surprisingly had a Peleton which wasnt connected to the Internet but still usable. Even had fresh towels, a water machine, and a scale.
I had an issue with the HVAC in our room that kept us up the first night and left us with 4 hours of sleep. (This review is my post nap update). The night staff was responsive but there was a minor mixup with me being asked to move all of my belongings in the middle of the night. I was eventually able to switch rooms in the morning and their management did also reach out separately to apologize afterwards, which was nice and appreciated.
Regardless, this is a great option for a short or longer stay. Excellent value for the price, quality, and the area.”

“I am a native Nyer who moved and back visiting from NC. Stayed here as the reviews were better than others around. While this was a tad pricer I decided why not. We arrived around 8pm. At first look the property looks really good. There were valets who we asked where to park and they showed us the other side of the building. On entry in the lobby, it's clean, uncluttered and well lit. No musty odors. We got to our room and we were impressed. I had no expectations but was nicely surprised. I am always on the look out for a room not well cleaned. Hair on the pillow or bathroom floor...NOPE. there was none of that. We ordered room service and the bread basket with the olive oil was really good. The fries..were crispy and done well. The room was modern enough, clean. Not a dust in sight. Even in the morning. Bravo. We actually decided we would stay here again. No complaints.Rooms: The rooms are spacious. Had the king room.Food & drinks: Food was good. A bit pricey but worth it.”
“My family and I had a wonderful stay at Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens in July. The General Manager, Mr. JK, and his team members, Michelle and Mira, provided exceptional service that made our visit truly memorable. We stayed in a room on the 6th floor with a stunning view of the NYC skyline—absolutely breathtaking!
The hotel's location was perfect for us, with nearby halal food options, the Skyview Mall, various shops (mostly Chinese products), and easy access to the subway. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the breakfast provided each morning was delicious and a great start to our day. The housekeeping and kitchen staff performed their duties professionally.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York.”
“This was the best location with everything you can need within close proximity. The hotel is perfect and the staff was one of the best I have encountered! I highly recommend!!”

“The stay was great, the rooms are toooo overpriced for the size but the amenities the hotel have and location is very good and made sense. Went to the restaurant and Candace was a WONDERFUL server. Ended up having her for dinner then breakfast and her service never wavered. My sister and I went out the night before to somewhere near by and the hotel had a 24 hr food area! Was great for late night snacks before bed and the guy that helped us then was just as great. I wish I saved the photos I took of the food. Overall it’s a very expensive stay and if I had the money I’d stay there multiple times a year other than that great experience.”

“Hats off to Manning and Ellie at the Jones Beach Hotel inWantagh, NY. Great experience and so much has to do with the customer service we got from the start. As so many reviews say, it's a hidden gem off the beaten path in a quaint neighborhood. It was very clean, cozy and costs less than your chain hotels. Love the pay phone in the hallway. It's a time machine as you step inside. We had no time to enjoy the attached restaurant but it was highly recommended. Thank you, again, Manning and Ellie.”
“One of the last motels left in Queens that hasn't been turned into a migrant shelter. It's the same old Kew... Jungle Room ..Mirror room . You know what you came there for . Price still right ?”
“Sooo we had a change in flights and spent the night. Kinda fast in and out. Overall it’s fine, not my favorite Hyatt but really did the job. Very strange location, I had trouble figuring out where to park. No signs! Plus I was jet lagged. I’ll be back soon for another layover, I’ll probably check out the casino just to see where I’m at!”
“I'm a New Yorker born and bred, so when I tell you New York has changed boy I'm not kidding! This is the first time I had to pay to stay at a hotel. Surprisingly with the city bring over crowded we had a difficult time locating a room ourselves. So we got a booking agent. She got a nice room at Best Western on Van Wyck. Room was clean and nice. Especially the bathroom. The receptionist was knowledgeable and pleasant. My only negative experience was the breakfast. It was unappealing and their wasn't good choices. Being this hotel is consider to be choice. I expect more. There was cereal, yogurt. Just Blah! Best Western needs to do a better job.”

“I spent one night at The Vanderbilt and the staff was amazing. The room was impeccable. Everything was spotless, spacious, and felt like a home away from home. We ate dinner at the restaurant on site and it was delicious. We were even able to get in a morning work out because there’s a gym full of equipment! I can’t wait to stay visit again.”

“This was our second stay at The Roslyn and it was even better than our first. This hotel is beautiful and charming - it looks like someone took an older building and shaped it with a lot of care and love. It feels cozy without being pretentious, a comfy classy vibe.Raj also made our visit extra special, informing us about what to expect at our stay and also surprising us with a slice of cheesecake for my partner's birthday! It was unexpected and made the night feel more special.Lastly, their restaurant (Atlas New World Bistro) is an unexpected presence. The food there is really good, like someone in there definitely knows how to cook! From the Eggs Benedict to the Croque Madame, it's hard to go wrong when you're craving breakfast or a weekend brunch. And special mention to their breakfast potatoes - I don't really like home fries, but these are so good. Like, crispy little cubes that still feels light, seasoned well and it's really unlike most generic home fries. Definitely worth a try!”

“I never write reviews but was compelled to do so after Kevin, our Airport shuttle driver, saved our day by taking the time, unprompted to wait for us as we struggled to get our two small children out of the hotel. We thought for sure that we had missed the shuttle and were preparing to order an uber when the front desk called to follow up. Kevin then came up with a trolley and helped us get to the airport on time and was super pleasant about it.The rooms were clean and comfortable and very appropriate for the price.”
“This place was both less and more. Less in the fact that you'd call down to the desk and they say they didn't get a call. As a result, I had to lie there with a beeping fire alarm all night and still get up and go to work the next day. Less in that you'd go in to the desk at say, 230am because you have a long drive ahead of you and no amount of hellos or knocking can wake whoever is taking a nap in the office. I had to ask the security guard to get the night person.
It was More in the fact that the staff even tho they didn't have much English, were very nice and helpful ppl. When I returned from work the day after the beeping fire alarm, I saw one of the you ladies and explained to her what I need and within 5 mins, a man was there to fix it for me. I had stopped by the reception desk and told the guy who was working there but when I opened the door after work, the beeping greeted me which means he forgot to do his job and have it fixed when I was gone all day.
It was More in the sense that when I had an issue with the washing machine the same young man rushed to my assistance and took it apart and got it fixed for me so I could wash my clothing. Real nice staff, those people.
Food & drinks: About 40 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel I was told when I enquired.”
“Amazing staff, happy and smiling all the time. Very prompt in attending to client needs. They also take time to talk with guests, however one house keeper could not communicate in English but she quickly referred to someone else who could.”
“A lot more pleasant staff than you would expect in a JFK airport hotel. Rooms are up to standard, the restaurant was pretty good with one friendly and extremely overworked guy (and maybe someone in the back, but for all I know he cooked the meals too), and the neighborhood is actually pretty nice to walk around. Parking is $40 a day but that's NYC for you.”
“Been coming here for years. Staff is always nice to me & my fiancé. Never had no issues at all coming here. It had a vending machine in lobby full of chips/candy/soda. Also they had 4 hour rooms & over night stays. It is no longer a hotel it’s now a shelter. I will miss coming here so much !!!!Walkability: Walkable to the avenue, and near buses to travel. Food areas are close by.Food & drinks: Different places to eat”

“Location is not very favorable for after-hours. I was told by the hostess that restaurants closes around 8pm. Also not a lot of options to eat. You will have a hard time looking for places to eat. Your only option will be doordash. Room quite comfortable but I have seen better options for the same price. Worth looking other reviews and assess your needs. Does not offer breakfast. 15-20 minutes walk from a Dunk'n Donuts.”
“This Travelodge in Manhasset is in a great location, very clean, friendly staff! Highly recommend staying here. The staff was accommodating and helpful. large parking lot for self parking and safe neighborhood. Highly recommend!!!”
